Artemis let out a sigh and waited for Yue to come home. They had been traveling companions for a few months now and Yue had finally asked if she wanted to come home to meet Kail for the first time. To say Artemis was a bit nervous was an understatement. Normally meeting date’s families hadn’t been a big thing, but Yue was special and Kail had meant a whole lot to her. So it just seemed more important than those other instances. She paced around the den they had been using, since Yue had went to find Kail, to ask if he was up to meeting Artemis.
Part of her did realize she almost hoped he said no, but then that meant she wasn’t wanted for yue’s future mate. Which she also had to admit had a spark of anger in the fact that if he did say no he would do so without trying to even meet her? However then she wouldn’t have to sit here all nervous and Yue and her could go back to watching eagles and traveling around at night seeing different things. Suddenly the sound of wings caught her attention and she looked outside to see Yue landing. It was dark enough that her Partner was only really recognizable through the moon and wing tips which almost seem to be glowing. “Welcome back”
