[»] Grew up in an orphanage until he was tossed out on the streets at the age of seven. He was often ridiculed by the other orphans since his uncle dropped him off as a eight year old month toddler after his parents were killed in what was termed as a car accident. Though Ryo often comes off as dull, boring, or distant, he's actually very cunning and intelligent due to having grown up on the streets. As a result, he has a bad habit of simply wandering off without warning simply because he likes to explore.
He does, however, have a very protective streak on top of being surprisingly strong for his size (he only stands 5' 6" tall barefoot). He has a strong tendency to take in many details at a glance, though he rarely mentions them as he is somewhat cautious of others, especially if he doesn't know them well.

Lillian is making her way home after having spent most of the morning at the swimming pool that her father had bought her a membership to. Her hair is drapped over her shoulders, dripping wet, even though she had tried drying it before heading home. However, since it was the beginning of summer she didn't worry about it too much and she knew that her hair would be dry before she got home, due to the hot summer sun shining down on her. She was humming to herself, looking forward to seeing her parents and her purebred Siberian Husky, Roxy, when she got home. There was an alley that connected the street that the pool was located and her home street. She knew that her father had warned her to not use alleys to get home and only use main roads, though she thought taking a short cut would save her some time in getting home.

Adrian was panting, his hand clasped against his upper arm and shoulder where a long gash bled freely. He had fallen trying to get something to eat, though he didn't succeed all that often; he was okay on the outskirts of the city where he could fish and gather roots and berries, but at times he did have to come into the city for other things. He wore battered sandals that stopped halfway up his calves and torn gray pants. He also wore a dirty white tee shirt and a ragged navy vest that had obviously seen better days. He stumbled as he slid down the fire escape, losing his grip on the ladder and falling the last several feet onto his back. The landing knocked him unconscious several yards in front of Lillian, though he had no idea she was even there.

Quietly making her way down the alley, still humming to herself, Lillian looks from the phone that she had pulled out of her pocket, only to see someone tumbling down from one of the fire escapes on one of the bluidings. She had to bite her tongue to keep from screaming at the sight. She did not know the person, but she couldn't just let him lay there in the alley, but if she were to let her kind, caring nature take over and she were to take him home her father would have a fit and she didn't want that at all. She hurried over to the boy that was lying unconscious on the ground and she knelt down beside him, trying to keep her still dripping hair back. "...I can't leave him here... I have to check if he's all right..." she mumbled to herself before examining the boy. She had to look away when she noticed that his arm and shoudler were bleeding, though she knew that being squeamish wasn't going to help.
She was fairly athletic and she was a lot stronger than she let on to be, though she did not know if carrying some stranger to her home was a good idea. Even though it was against her better judgement she managed to wrap up the boy's arm and shoulder with her towel and she then did her best to give him a piggy back ride to her house.
Lillian saw her father's house maid and she knew that she'd not say anything to her, because most of the time she didn't pay much mind to anything other than her work. Sneaking in through the back, Lillian carried the boy to her room and then laid him on her bed, locking the bedroom door quickly after, so that no one could come in and find she had taken in some stranger. Although, when she thought that there was going to be no interruptions Roxy pushed her way through the too small doggy door that had yet to be fixed. "Stay Roxy." was all that Lillian had to stay and the red husky stayed where she was, though her eyes were honed in on the boy one her owner's bed.

Adrian groaned as his eyes fluttered, his cobalt blue eyes opening slowly. The first thing he wondered was why there was a lilac towel wrapped around his upper arm and shoulder where the gash was. His dusty black hair looked almost gray from the dust in it since it had been a few days since his last cold bath in the stream several hundred yards outside the city. He didn't recognize the room nor the scent of the home before he noticed the husky staring at him. It surprised him so suddenly he gasped and before he knew it had fallen out of the bed squarely onto his injured shoulder. A low groan escaped him as he shifted his hand to grip the towel, noting that it was damp. Whoever it was must have used it. Unlikely that it was for bathing, likely swimming instead, he thought.

Lillian was putting her things away in her huge, walk-in closet when she heard a thump in her room. the first thing that came to her mind was that Roxy had jumped onto the bed and had knocked the boy onto the floor. she grabbed the collar and muzzle that she used when Roxy was bad before storming out of the closet.
She noticed that Roxy had been sitting where she had been told to; though the boy was no longer on the bed. Lillian hurried over to the other side of her bed and she said, "Are you all right? I'm sorry if my dog frightened you... She's nice, I promise, though she doesn't always take to strangers very well... I can get you something for that arm other than my towel, if you'd like that?" she said, in a rambling sort of manner before stopping herself. She then realized how a bloodied towel would look to anyone who saw it and she knew there'd be a lot she had to explain, unless she just threw it out and said that she lost it at the pool.

Adrian smiled faintly before nodding slowly, cautious. "That'd be nice... it'll teach me to try and get bread again," he said quietly, his tone shy. He had rarely spent time with other people, preferring to be alone, which he unconsciously realized was a way of keeping himself distant from others to prevent himself from being hurt again even though it did make him lonely quite often.

Lillian looked at the boy on her floor and could clearly tell that he was nervous. She felt kind of bad for making him nervous, though she thought that she could try to make up for it. "I'll be right back and make sure that my door stays locked. I have the key, so I can get back in when I'm finished getting the things needed." she said as she made her way to the door. She paused briefly, turned around and said, "Oh, by the way, my name's Lillian. Lillian Stacy." She didn't know if her last name mattered much, though she thought that she'd say it anyhow. Most people knew of her father, Martin J. Stacy, though there were some that didn't or they didn't care, even though he was a near billionaire, who lived in one of the finest mansions in the district.

Adrian shifted on the floor before slowly shifting into a kneeling stance. "I'm Adrian McCloud," he said quietly as he stood in one fluid movement, wincing slightly as he felt his back protest from the harsh landing a short time before. He walked towards the door, glancing out the window momentarily, though he didn't recognize the girl's last name.

Trying to get everything for the boy that she now knew was called Adrian, Lillian hurried to get the medical supplies and some food down in the kitchen without getting caught by either of her parents or the caretakers of the house. She almost got caught, though she just barely made it up the stairs to her room and went back into her room, locking the door behind her.
"I'm back. Here's the stuff to clean up your arm and I brought you some food, since you mentioned something about bread." She set the things on her bed and grabbed her wallet out of her purse. she kenw that her father would be furious if he knew that his daughter had a stranger in her room and that she was going to give said stranger money, though she didn't care too much and pulled out a few fifties and held them out to Adrian saying, "Here's some money for you, for when you leave here. You look like you probably need it more than I do, and I could just ask daddy if I could get more. He'd just think that I spent that on clothes, which wouldn't be too hard where I shop for clothing."

Adrian blinked, staring in surprise at the money. "I've never seen that much money before," he murmured. He awkwardly shifted the towel away, wincing as it pulled at the edges of the wound, making it bleed again sluggishly before he took the hydrogen peroxide and simply dumped a splash of it directly into the wound. It stung fiercely in reaction, though he didn't do anything other than wince a bit.
"I don't know much about buying things or frankly much about the city in general, as I tend to stay away from it for the most part," he said quietly. He noticed the sandwich though he ignored it for the moment.

Setting on the bed Lillian watched Adrian's reaction to the money and heard his words. She wasn't sure taht she could believe that he'd never seen that much money before, though judging by his clothes he may have been telling the true. She wanted to try helping clean the wound, but she thought it best to not interfer at the moment.
When it was said by Adrian that he didn't know much about buying things or the city and that he stayed away from it, Lillian tilted her head to one side before letting her curiosity get the better of her. "So, where exactly do you live?" Once the words were out of her mouth she wished that she could cram them back into her head, but she knew that what was said could not be taken back and she flinched, waiting for whatever reaction was going to be given for her prying.

Adrian shrugged. "Outside the city in a nearby forest.... in a cavern," he said quietly, feeling a bit embarrassed. It was nothing really impressive, to be honest. He just preferred his own space without many people bothering him. He was quiet as he covered the wound with a bandage, fairly sure it would be healed within a few days like usual. He shifted, half turning towards the window, unaware there was a two inch wide piece of glass stuck in his side just above his belt through his jeans.

Lillian was glad that Adrian was not mad at her for prying, though she still felt bad. She was not really paying much attention to the red husky that was still in the room until she noticed the dog walking right over to Adrian and sniffing him. She looked at where the dog was sniffing and she let out a panicked squeal that she had to bite back. "Th-there's a piece of glass... Right there..." she whimpered as she pointed to where her dog, Roxy, had been sniffing, yet was yanked away by her owner.
