She'd made, it, hadn't she? She thought so, anyway. It looked like a home tree, and a few of the lovely ladies she had asked had told her that Maya's group had moved here. Kaalnia grinned- she was excited. She hadn't seen her sister Briella in ages! Kaalnia was happy to finally see her after all these years. She didn't even question whether Briella would be just as happy to see the sister who used to get her into trouble all the time. Whatever. Kaalnia, for her part, couldn't wait another minute to meet the youngling that her sister had apparently adopted, and all of Briella's friends of course! No hard feelings for stealing her away, of course. And no hesitation, either! She simply couldn't wait!
She stepped out into the clearing around the tree, noting the weapon graveyard or whatever it was. "Heeeeeeey! Anybody here?" Kaalnia said, a huge grin on her face.

Dyakida was outside, her hands and feet wrapped against the soreness of her hands and feet- leftovers from her unusual commission. She was finishing... something. It was hard to tell what she was working on so carefully, as cloth wrappings obscured it. It had been good to return to Chibale, but it was also good to be home again. Of course, it also meant that she discovered that, in her absence, a new little sister had taken up residence. She wasn't sure how she felt about it, and hadn't had a good chance to really get to know the brat, but she bet Ilyra was like any other kid- loud, messy, and obnoxious. She hadn't been so bad when she was little. Clearly she was an exception. An unfamiliar voice lifted her head from her work. "Hello?" She rose, holding her new staff for support, "Who's there?" she called out.

Briella hadn't been home, like most days she was out 'training' Ilyra. Normally it was just playing, but today she was actually trying to teach her something. She was trying to teach her to shoot a target with her make shift bow. It wouldn't hurt anything, however it did shoot! "Oh you almost got it! Your getting better Ilyra, it seems every day your better and better. Soon you'll be a pro!" she said as she smiled down at Ilyra. Teaching someone another weapon wasn't easy, however since she had practiced a little of everything in her apprentice days she wasn't doing all that horrible of a job teaching Ilyra. Plus, it wasn't like her mothers ever taught her anything.
She was close enough that she heard Kaalnia's voice. She froze in schock as she heard Dyakida answer. Now this was a surprise, while she loved her little sister dearly she hadn't seen Kaalnia in quite some time. And she knew that she could be... Well a handful. Looking over at Ilyra she laughed. "Ilyra, seems you get to meet my little sister today. Come on." she said with a shake of her head. If looking after Ilyra wasn't enough, now she would have to look after Kaalnia.
With Ilyra on her shoulders she started walking towards the home tree. "Dyakida, this is my little sister Kaalnia. Kaalnia this is Dyakida, and Ilyra." she introduced as Ilyra climbed down and started running towards Kaalnia.

Ilyra closed one eye and let go of the string, opening it just in time to see the arrow almost hit the middle of the target. She smiled up at Briella's praise. "Then I'll get a better bow won't I!" she said excitedly. It wasn't that she didn't like her bow, it was just... Well she had seen so many that were so much nicer! She couldn't wait until she got to use one of those.
Ilyra was loading another arrow when she heard Kaalnia's voice. It was a voice she had never heard before and when she saw Briella's expression he was even more curious. "Little sister? I didn't know I had an aunt!" she said excitedly. Things could get confusing, since they were all sisters, but if she was Briella's little sister that made her Ilyra's aunt! The youngling knew that much.
She held onto Briella as she ran, and as soon as Kaalnia was in view she started to climb down from Briella's shoulders. She ran over to Kaalnia. "Hi! I didn't know I had an aunt! Did you know had a niece?!" she asked excitedly. Looking back she spotted Dyakida. She hadn't really talked to Dyakida before, though from what she had heard she was very wise. "Dyakida the Wise." she corrected Briella before turning back to face Kaalnia.
Briella could be heard laughing in the background. That was what she got for telling Ilyra that Dyakida was the wise one.

More like 'Wise-a**'. Dyakida caught herself beginning to smile and stopped it at 'pleasant'. "Thank you, Ilyra." she said. She wouldn't be fooled. The girl would become a loud monster at some point, she was sure. Allright, so she was wise. Peyla had been enjoying her day off- her Alkidike didn't need her for things like weapon crafting and when they were at home there was always a risk of running into HIM. So she had been off playing around with things- even pretending to make her own twig weapons because it looked fun when her Alkidike did it. But then she heard an unfamiliar voice... Two! She put down her teeny twigs and leaves and petals. She had to investigate. Dyakida heard Peyla's chirps- the sprite must be nearby. "So. you're Kaalnia. I've heard a lot about you" Yes, about the annoying alkidike on Emeka who hit on everything that moved? "I didn't know you were close to Briella" and did it matter? She approached. "As you may already know, I am Dyakida. I believe the others are out right now..."

Kaalnia laughed merrily. This was going great. "Aww, c'mon Brie, I'm- what- a head taller than you? More?" She crouched down to give Ilyra a pat- or the thumping that passed for a pat from Kaalnia- on the shoulder. "Sure I did!" she flashed Briella a grin, "See, my sis here- she never visits, she never writes" there was no malice or resentment there, just laughther. "And then I hear that she's made quite a stir by adopting someone's kid, so I just had to check it out." She looked back at Ilyra grinning mischeviously, "Hey yeah. I guess it's true. I'm an Aunt. Cool." she stood back up. "So you're wise, huh, Dyakida?" she squinted at her, as if trying to place her. "Say, didn't I see you on Amara a few days ago? Trotting towards the great tree? Ooo, you looked like you were on a mission!" she walked over to clap Dyakida on the back in greeting. "Oh yeah, now I know. You're that artisan that everybody's been talking about! I hear you do good work! Hey... hey, can you make me something that will get girls to go out with me?" she said conspirationally, then she laughed and winked as she drew away, "Nah, I don't need any of that" she struck a pose, "Pure, 100% sexy Alkidike right here!" before buckling over with laughter. Oh, she cracked herself up. "Anyway, Brie, get over here!" She went over to grab Briella and drag her to the group. Damn, she was being pokey, "Don't let your girl beat you to the punch!"

A head taller? Who was she kidding! The two of them were pretty much neck and neck with their height. Maybe on a good day Kaalnia would be a little taller then her. But barely enough for anyone to really notice. She watched as Kaalnia thumped on Ilyra and took a step forward. She knew that Kaalnia meant well, but she remembered that she wasn't always the softest. And although she knew Ilyra was tough, she was still a youngling.
She watched it all unfold, feeling horrible for Dyakida. Kaalnia was her sister so she was use to her, plus she was use to her. Dyakida on the other hand, well she didn't know Kaalnia nor was she use to it.
"How have you been sister? You know I meant to write, I've just been kind of busy if you can't tell." she said with a smile and a laugh before wrapping her arms around her sister in a strong hug. She knew Kaalnia's hugs were strong, she might as well try to beat her at her own game. Though she knew it wasn't a game to Kaalnia, that was just how she was.
"But watch your words, we have two younglings here." she said raising an eyebrow. She didn't want any talk about being sexy around Ilyra. She was too young, and Briella didn't want her to get any ideas yet!

Ilyra nodded, yes Dyakida was wise and Ilyra was happy that she knew that. Though she had heard a lot about Kaalnia? How come she had never heard about Kaalnia? Who was telling Dyakida about her? Briella? Briella didn't tell her anything about her sister!
She watched the interaction among the older girls. She liked Kaalnia's mischievous grin. She had a strong feeling that she was going to like this aunt of hers.
When she spoke about Dyakida being an artisan Ilyra nodded. That was something that she knew about at least! "Dyakida makes all kinds of things! Mommy says she makes the best weapons." the youngling said looking between the three of them.

Kaalnia was known for her crushingly friendly hugs. She lived up to that reputation. "Sure ya did! Sure ya did. You're busy being a blade now, aren't ya? Lots of responsibility there! Congrats to you, sis! she gave her sister a pat/slam on the back and drew away a bit. I've been great! Just absolutely awesome!" She laughed, "Like always!" she made a somewhat chagrined face. "Still not a blade, though." she shrugged, "Ah well, only a matter of time!" Watch her words? Why? What was the problem? Was it the blade thing? Nah, that couldn't be it. Was it the sexy thing? Huh. "Aww, c'mon, Brie. Ain't nothing wrong with being sexy" she struck another pose, barely able to keep a straight face, "With sexy role models like myself around, all the younglings are gonna grow up to be beautiful women, mark my words." she gave ilyra a conspirational wink, "Ain't that right, kid?" The kid wasn't old enough and Briella was Brie, but she gave Dyakida a look, a pickup line forming in her head. But Brie came first.

By Aisha's leaves this one was ridiculous. Just listening to her for a few seconds made Dyakida feel tired- more than tired, she was already annoyed. Did she really just say that? Really? Of all the absurd things that Dyakida had heard in her life, this one was one of the worst. "I'm not the best, I'm sure." she said, deciding to pay attention to Ilyra who, strikingly enough, was the less annoying one. The girl's words did make her blush. "... but someday I will be. If I practice enough" she smiled down at where Ilyra's voice rang out- it was not as annoying as she had expected, actually. "Speaking of, I forgot to ask you Ilyra. What weapon do you think suits you?" She had caught the word 'kid' in Kaalnia's conversation and smirked inwardly. Ah, so the cassanovalkidike had made a mistake. Dyakida, at least, knew enough of Ilyra's situation to not call her a child.

Briella frowned for a second when her sister said she still wasn't a blade. It seemed as if she wasn't the only one that had wanted to grow up fast. However Kaalnia was still pretty young, their mother's had waited a few years between having Briella and having Kaalnia.
When Kaalnia had said there was nothing wrong with being sexy and being a sexy role model Briella's eyes narrowed. Ilyra was her youngling, her daughter, so Kaalnia didn't have a say in what should be allowed and what shouldn't be allowed to be said around Ilyra.
"Kaa, you know I love you. But my rules here." she said with a strong glare. She didn't want her sister to not feel welcome, but she did want to get her point across. However she called Ilyra a kid, so she wasn't worried much about what would happen. For once she would let Ilyra put her in her place, not like she could stop the youngling really.

Ilyra was paying more attention towards Dyakida. So she was wise and modest! Yes, Briella was right, she had a lot to learn from this sister. "Well Briella says your the best, and before I left I heard them talking good about you as well. So if your not the best, then you must be very close to it." she said happily.
When Dyakida asked her what weapon she liked her eyes went wide and she looked to Briella before turning back towards Dyakida. This was a dream come true. "A bow and arrow." she said confidently.
Everything had been going perfectly, she wasn't even paying attention to the talk of sexy things, until Kaalnia heard the word kid. Since coming to live with Briella no one had called her that, and Briella promised that no one would. Looking at her mother she say that Briella didn't look at her in the way she normally would to keep her from doing something wrong, and that was good enough for Ilyra.
"I am not a kid." she said sharply. "Just because I'm smaller then you, doesn't mean I'm a kid." and with that she loaded one of her make shift arrows onto her bow and released it towards Kaalnia's thigh. Sure it wouldn't really hurt, the arrows didn't have a sharp point, but it would get the point across.

Kaalnia had heard a rumor that the craftswoman was blind, but hadn't had anything to prove it. Now, she did. Not even a single reaction to her poses! Which was a bummer because they were really good poses. Brie didn't seem to like them, but they weren't for her, right? She was about to protest about the rules and such- when had Briella gotten so serious?- when the arrow struck her thigh.
"Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow!" she yelped, hopping around. It hadn't done any real damage, of course, but it would bruise and bruises were bad! "What the..." she stared at Ilyra, not quite comprehending. "What did ya do that for?" she asked, absolutely perplexed. Kids were kids, right?

It sounded like Briella had her hands full with this woman. Dyakida did not want to deal with Kaalnia, not when Ilyra was definitely more interesting. Up to this point, she had thought of Ilyra as a kid, though she had known enough not to say it. But she was definitely more mature than some grownups. Especially the grownup that was being an idiot here. Dyakdia couldn't see the poses, but Kaalnia was obnoxious enough even without them. But Ilyra... What she had said had startled her.
"They spoke of me... Before you left?" that was when Briella became a blade, not long before Dyakida had left on her little commission journey. Perhaps she had not been right to feel so insignificant. Then again, of course they had spoken of her. How else would Yansa have heard of her?
Hearing Ilyra's declaration and the yelps of pain from Kaalnia sealed the deal. This was no kid she was talking to. Perhaps a little childish, but someone she should treat with as an equal. A short equal. That was definitely a plus in Dyakida's book. Other younglings felt so babyish and entitled. This one wanted to take things in her own hands.
She couldn't help snickering a little at the yelps. "... And I think you have been taught a valuable lesson, Ms. Kaalnia. Appearances can decieve." She knelt down and reached out to touch Ilyra on the shoulder. "Lets go talk about bows. Over there." Away from that person, definitely "I have an idea that I want to put by you."

Briella laughed, holding her stomach to keep herself from doubling over. She knew for a fact that Ilyra's little bows weren't all that strong, she herself had been hit with them before, but the more that Ilyra practiced the better she was getting, plus she must have hit a soft spot.
However of course Kaalnia didn't understand. Briella sighed, of course she didn't. "She's not a kid Kaa." she said hoping her sister would understand. She wasn't going to say more, but then she realized that most likely her sister wouldn't get it and just call Ilyra a kid again. Thankfully Dyakida had stolen most of Ilyra's attention so Kaalnia was safe from assault. For now.
"Remember how much we hated being called a kid? She's ten times worse. That's why she ran away from home, she was sick of being treated like a kid, so we don't call her that. Ever, and those who do... Well you saw." she said with a laugh. "It's good to have you back sister, tell me about your adventures to get here. I know you didn't come straight here."
