Alright, since this thread has been recycled I thought I should put a proper TL;DR description to try and keep everyone who's interested up to date. (Seeing as the guild discussion up and died and we've been chatting on Facebook..)
I'll try my hardest to keep this first post up to date.
So shall we begin?

Sort of Updated on 6/28/14

So Far in the Story...

Froggy, Duri, Lurky, Ele, and I are working together to make a summer event for the guild. Froggy Lurky and I had joined a find the killer type game a few weeks ago and found inspiration to make one of our own! Seeing as Duri is our lovely guildmaster, we thought it would be a very much recommended idea to get him involved. Ele was interested, so she's helping too.
So far we've decided that the game would be role play based and centered in Lida. It is Crimson territory, but they've opened an underground guild house. Four "young" merc groups go out to claim it as their home base, but until Crimson is pushed out, they must act under the radar. Even though they are all being careful, Crimson already knows about it and hires spies to kidnap members from the mercenary groups. (Maybe in an attempt to scare them away or maybe just for giggles.) That's what the game is based on!
The goal is to find and jail Crimson's spies before all of the mercenaries have been kidnapped!

Role List

The Kidnappers
At least two players will have this role. Each round they PM the mule the player they want to kidnap, which is why this role play game is centered around finding out the true identity of the kidnappers and jailing them. Their main job is to evade the other players and kidnap all the other players. Their kidnappings will be written out by the hosts and the kidnappers can PM the mule to specify a type of signature for the kidnappings. In addition to the ability to kidnap, kidnappers have the option to transfer their kidnapping powers every three rounds to another player by choosing a number that will correspond to another player. This action is called, "Taint". After using "Taint", the player will no longer be a kidnapper and will be called a, "Tainter". There is no special action in this role, meaning the Tainter only has regular voting actions like the mercenaries except a Tainter has ties to Crimson. Being a Tainter means that this player will not win if the kidnappers are caught after a long duration of this game.

The Mercenaries
This is a role everyone has even if they have a special role. The main objective for the Mercenaries is to discover and jail the true kidnappers and also Crimson minions. This role's ability is to vote out another player every single if they suspect them of being one of the kidnappers. Whoever has the highest votes, they will be jailed. When they miss a voting session or round, they will be scolded by their respective mercenary group leaders, but they will receive one strike for every voting missed. After three strikes, the truant will be sent to Red Rose Psychiatric Hospital and be disqualified from the game.
[quote"(MULE NAME)"]
★ I suspect (Player's Name) is the kidnapper! ★

The Bartender
Because of this role's habitual way of tending one of the busiest bars of Lida, nothing seems to pass by without first being picked up by the Bartender. This is an investigative role that receives one clue every round. For every two rounds, the Bartender can choose a number that corresponds to each player to check if the player is Crimson aligned; this is the special action for this role.

The Liberator
As the name implies, the Liberator can save the kidnapped every three rounds.

The Eagle Eyes
A promising and hopeful role that chooses one fellow player each round to look over and make sure he/she is not kidnapped. If the Eagle Eye wants, he/she can protect himself/herself. However, if both kidnappers work together to kidnap the player the Eagle Eye choses to protect that round, the player will be kidnapped due to two kidnapping actions and only one Eagle Eye protective action. It is also possible for two Eagle Eyes protecting one player to ensure he/she will not be kidnapped.

The Mistress
A seductive and charming role that finds out each role of any player by picking a number corresponding to every player. Each of her seductions happen every round and will be written out and posted in the thread.

The Thief
This role has the ability to steal another player's role action. (The Thief cannot steal the Kidnapper’s taint action. For Psychic and Crimson’s minions, the Thief can only steal these roles voting actions.) Whomever the number it was, their actions are canceled and whoever the thief specified in the form will be what happens instead. If the thief steals a voting action of a mercenary player, the tally changes to the thief's liking and will be displayed on the public post in the thread. However in the event of the thief's victim having a special role, the thief only steals the special action, not the vote.
I steal player number 6's actions. I vote:(username) I investigate:(username) I liberate:(username) I protect:(username) I seduce: (username) I kidnap:(username) I influence:(username) I scare: (username)

Example:
Duri sends a PM to the mule and says, "I like to kidnap Lena." Also, he voted for Froggy in the thread.

However, Elon sends a PM to the mule, "I steal player number 6's actions. I vote: Duri. I investigate: Lena. I liberate: Cellar. I protect: Froggy. I seduce: Lena. I kidnap: Liney. I influence: Duri. I scare: Ele."

Duri is player number 6. Duri's action to kidnap Lena is canceled and replaced with Elon’s action because Elon stole his action choice. Instead of Lena being kidnapped, Liney is kidnapped. Although Elon stole his role action, Elon only could steal his special action, not his voting action.

The Arsonist
This role will have the ability to influence one player each round to carry out a doubling in their role action(s) for that round. They can do this by sending a PM of a number that will correspond with each player.

The Freak
This role will have the ability to terrify another player to the point of not being able to do their role action(s) for that round. They can do this by sending a PM of a number that will correspond with each player.

The Psychic
This role will be able to choose a number each turn and learn who that number belongs to. (I.E. the psychic messages the mule "I wish to see number 6" and the person the number belongs to is Duri. The psychic then learns that number 6 belongs to Duri.)

Crimson Minions
These Crimson Minions can be seen as support roles to help the cause of the kidnappers.
The Herring
This role acts as a decoy for the kidnappers, so the special action that comes with this role is the ability to send out one fake clue for two rounds. The Herring must PM the mule when the time comes of something along the lines of, “I want to send a fake clue out”.

The Surgeon
This role can convert other players into Crimson minions every five rounds by choosing a number that correspond to each player and PMing that number to the mule. Players will keep their special actions but are aligned with Crimson.

The Framer
A Crimson support role that frames other players as being Crimson for every two rounds. If an investigative role investigates the same number as the Framer frames, the number/player will show up as Crimson no matter what for the investigator. (FOR THAT TURN ONLY!)

What We Do With Inactive Players
Inactive players will be subjected to being removed from the voting process and being shipped to the Red Rose Psychiatric Hospital. Inactive players are deemed too unstable to be a part of traditional legal interactions. There is not a rescue from this state, given that we will try to be as lenient as possible in the first place. Maybe with extensive discussion with moderators and a unanimous vote, a person can be returned to play with a "new medication" to stabilize their minds.

Mercenary Groups & Leaders
Each player will be put in a mercenary group, which marks as their alliance. You see, people playing these types of games aren't going to be very good about making alliances and sometimes they're floaters. Even though people will be in an alliance, they won't know who's in it.

We dress up as the NPCs we pretend to be. These NPCs are the leaders of each mercenary group.

The Midnighters*Duri*
Short Description:
A bro only mercenary group.
Possible cover of being a band.

Leader

The Belles *Froggy*
Short Description:
The Belles is not a mercenary group scouting for outside or inner beauty.
Possible cover of being saloon owners/employees.

Leader Edaline Sterling was always fascinated by the saloon atmosphere that she one day saved enough money from dancing and stage acts to buy one. She named it, "Las Flores", to pay homage to her teacher who taught her everything about saloons and killing people.

The Jokers *Kii*
Short Description:
A laid back group who's leader has an odd habit of nicknaming his members after cards in a playing deck.
Possible cover of professional poker players/gamblers.

Leader Finley Blair has always had a deep connection with cards, but it wasn't until he won $1,000 out of his father that he even imagined playing it big. Even though he uses playing cards now, he's still extremely attached to his Yu-Gi-Oh deck.

The *Lena*
Short Description:

Leader

I'm sorry Duri~ I don't know how to help you. :c
Listen to awesome music? Watch awesome anime shows? Join silly Slasher-type games like Lurky, Froggy, and I?
I usually find inspiration when I least expect it, but usually it involves doing something new.

Lurking Lady

Alright guys, let's get discussin'! o 3o
Lazily recycled the thread (renamed it pretty much) so we can start collecting our ideas in a better place than facebook. I'm not 100% clear on what you guys discussed while I was gone, but I'll try to throw together a summary for dem other peeps.

THE SUMMARY SO FAR;
So we had this idea to do a game for a summer event (if we can work it out). It's an elimination type of game with a prize at the end! I call them Slasher games to keep things simple. Oh, and there wouldn't be killings! Only kidnappings. c:
What we would do would be to create the threads themselves outside of the guild and make them available to the public. It would be role play based with different set factions (the merc groups) that can be played that would act as alliances. Duri, Froggy, Lurky, and I would all be NPCs for head faction type people.
We haven't worked out much else as far as I know but there will be roles involved - like kidnapper, thief, mistress, ect, all with special abilities they can do each round.
Oh! And we're thinking about it being it Lida.

So uhmmm... Yeah.

So here's a thought. Once upon a time Ele wanted a new continent or whatever with new mercenary groups. Maybe we can hold a poll trying to figure out the favorite group and that group will be added slightly long term to the guild? or maybe all of them depending on how this works out.
I'd like to throw out there too that would people apply for slots within merc groups and from there would get random roles? Or they give us a character skeleton and we match them accodingly and then randomize roles?

i wish i could code on my phone. ; A;

For the most part, I feel as if we should at least have people just make skeletons and make those characters be very... adaptive? I guess?
So they can be played as different roles if need be?

Woah. What's going on here? o3o It looks cool. I see good ideas and I'm in. Is it some kind of guild recruitment event as well? I'm a huge fan of FINALLY opening up Lida!

Anyway, can this event coexist with some plot that I'm building or is this completely unrelated to our plot and character arcs? Duri and the others involved are going to wrap up the current mission, then start something new soon, in which I'm going to get an old character of mine back in the game soon. Aleta misses him and it's about time since I dragged him back and built his character up from a demolished pile of rubble. :U

Okay, rule suggestions-

I think we should add restraints to what player characters can do as far as abilities and what they are so we don't get anything too out there. Restrictions on species would also be good, but it should be a big list.

Like this-

Human
Demon
Angel
Elf of any race
Werewolf
Vampire
Half-human of above selections
Undead/lab created
Witch/Wizard (still human, but MAGIC)
Centaur
Dwarf
Robot
Mermaid
Fairy

We have quite the fantasy kitchen sink. All of these have been established in the world of Armarus. Add any if I forgot them. Nothing should be imported from fandoms or OCs designed for other words. Original character means ORIGINAL CHARACTER.

Also, because I HATE seeing stolen art and people claiming it's their character without permission (It's fine with permission), characters should have original art, a good description, or a tektek.

Oh, and no slave/master RPing, it just rubs me the wrong way and it's not what this story is going to focus on.

A rule that is certainly needed is no homo/bi/pan/ace/phobia, transphobia, racism, or sexisim of any kind unless if that's part of your character and you didn't write them that way just so you can be a jackass.

And no characters with rape in their past. >_< It can be done right, but more often than not it's a cheap and insulting way to make your character look tragic.

XD I'm glad that you like what you see!~ This is an out of guild event that will help us recruit people. This event is a in-thread role playing game that is a bit like Clue! or other find the killer games. At least two players have the role of the kidnappers, and every round they go and kidnap all of the other players. The rest of the players will try to find out who the kidnappers and vote them out. There are also special roles and public clues that will help people figure out the kidnappers. Everyone will be role playing as their own character of some sort that may have elements of themselves, so that it'll be easier for people to discuss clues and such. (Or role playing can be a choice or something. GOTTA DISCUSS)

This game is going to be set in Crimson controlled Lida where four under the table mercenary groups are formed to try to drive out the Crimsons. However, there are Crimson spies that have gotten into the groups and started kidnapping mercenaries.

In other words, this event is unrelated to current plots and arcs.

I think it'll be good to restrict character races now that I think of it. People can go really crazy on what the race can be when that's not even the point of this event. Perhaps, everyone has to be a human? (We'll need to discuss this. I don't want people to go mess up a race.)

We're not going to let players add abilities to their characters since the game's point is to find the kidnappers or evade from suspicion. We'll give players special roles, but they'll be keeping those to themselves. It's going to be different from actual role play in the guild.
