Yamir had lost Alani somewhere. That leopard was doing a good job avoiding him, and that was sad. Yamir understood that his particular taste wasn't exactly normal, but the male had just upped and left him without a word. Though, he did say his objections many times in Yamir's presences. He sighed. It was so hard to find a handsome leopard with his particular taste in things.
Yamir had been up in a tree he had recently found, thinking of everything he did that could have chanced the other male off. He was convinced it was the female that was with him. She hated this white and pastel leopard with more passion than he had ever seen. It was almost admirable. He smiled at the thought. Life was just too grand to be angry at someone, though jealousy was a strong poison in life. He could see it in her eyes.
His mind was so far drifting off, that he closed his eyes for a moment. The day was cool and the wind was quite lovely. It was almost the perfect day. Of course, without a few important aspects of it, but he couldn't complain at all.

Tazi was tired ... exhausted even, by the uneventful task of walking. Just walking, and walking, and walking. It really wasn't the most amazing thing she could be doing with her time, but really, it was all she could think to do with her time. She was just such a boring individual, she never had any clever ideas, or exciting adventures. She kind of just existed, and if someone happened to notice her, well then, good on them!
Today however, was sort of exceptionally boring. Normally she would have run into someone by now, and forced them into boring small talk. Something she knew everyone hated, but she felt was still necessary. Truthfully she could go without speaking to anyone, but tat wasn't really healthy at all was it?
Shrugging her shoulders, she frowned to herself as she glanced around the tree lined area. Not a soul in sight, and she had a pretty good view from where she was standing. Well ... if she wasn't going to run into anyone, she might as well take a nap. At leas then she'd have less time to waste walking.

Thoughts swirled and some festered in Yamir's mind. His eyes were still closed, yet he could hear walking near his tree. His left ear twitched once, twice, and a third time before he opened an eye. It took a few moments to realize that his thoughts weren't making the noise, as light as it was. He yawned, and gave a twitch of his tail before he decided to make his presence known.
"Quite a good day for a long nap, don't you think?" He said with a sort of hum to his voice. He was up for any company that came by, though he felt a little disappointed it wasn't who he was trying to find. No matter, in time Alani will show up, until then, this dame looked like she could use his company.
"I'm Yamir" He said, making no attempt to jump down from the branch he had gotten all comfortable on. "Don't worry, I don't bite" He added to add some sort of security to her. He had run into some creatures that were quite jumpy. Especially when they couldn't see him well. Though, he did quite a good job sticking out in this place. Not that he minded too much. His second eye finally opened up to reveal it's light grayness.

Her eyes were finally beginning to lull her off to sleep, when the shocking but sweet voice hit her ears. For a second she jolted, unsure of exactly where the voice was coming from. But as it continued to speak, she realized it was coming from above. A glance up above revealed a rather stunning male, lying in the trees. "Oh yes, it is definitely a good day. But then everyday is a good day for a nap." Tazi nodded her head politely and let loose a small yawn. "From the looks of it, it seems you're doing the same? Tazi flicked her tail in mock enjoyment as she continued to look up at the male. "Yamir huh? That's a strange name, though mine is pretty strange as well."[ Shrugging her shoulders, Tazi smiled before going on. "I am Tazi, its nice to meet you Yamir. Oh! And I mean no offense by my initial remark ... please think nothing of it." Lowering her head, she let loose a small laugh at his final comment. "Oh you have nothing to fear either, though I was never worried to begin with. Come down, have a seat! Its rather uncomfortable to see you so high in that tree."

"Oh, looks can be quite miss leading, Miss Tazi." He said with a nod. "I was not sleeping, but merely taking to deep thought upon the life that you see before you." He said, both his gray gentle eyes looking into her dark blue-ish gray eyes. "You see, I am reflecting on myself to see what flaws might cause another leopard to get up and walk away without a single word or hint of goodbye."
Oh, his life could be quite dramatic if he told the story of it as the way he was talking in this moment. It wasn't as dramatic as he liked to make it seem, but it wasn't quite as fun of a story if he just told it exactly how it happens.
"No offense could ever be taken, my dear!" he said, again with a bit of a hum to it. "And on the contrary, the pleasure is all mine. " He gave a smile. "I was beginning to think I wouldn't see another soul for quite some time." Even if she wasn't the EXACT soul he was hoping to see, she was just as good. "Do you not like branches?" he asked her curious, but didn't linger too long up in the tree. She had asked, and he was eager to please. Plus, she was a lady, to him, it was he who had to do the moving. At least, that's how his mother had taught him. He also did the same to males he thought were quite pleasing.

"Please. Call me Tazi ... I hardly have the manners of pleasantries to be called a Miss."" She raised a paw to her lips to hide the laugh that she felt brewing in her gut. Though that wasn't out of politeness, it was more personal interest. Laughing made her feel funny, she really didn't like to feel funny. "Oh? Such a shame to hear ... well perhaps I could help you figure it out? That is ... if you're open to such a thing." Tazi's tail flicked, though this time she had an actual interest in what was going on. Not only did this give her a chance to have some actual conversation, but she'd learn some interesting stuff in the process. Tazi smiled happily at Yamir as he climbed down from the tree. "Its not so much the branches that bother me ... I'm just a terrible climber. I'd probably make you laugh if I attempted to join you up there!" As Yamir finally climbed fully down from the tree, she exhaled a breath and began to speak again. "I think we're on the same page there ... its been a while since i've seen another. I honestly thought I was alone out here today ... until you came along/"

"I do apologize, I had forgotten that most don't see such politeness." He gave her a bow before he sat his butt down and looked at her. "A leopard who cannot climb? Well, this is indeed a very rare encounter." He said with a smile. "Perhaps it's not that you're bad, it's that you just never had the right leopard to teach you." He said with a wink.
"Oh, I think I know what it is... Yet, I want to stay in denial as well." He mused the idea. "See, my particular taste is.... different and might be rather...Intimidating to others." He said. He wasn't sure how to explain it to her. It wasn't an easy subject for most. "See... I am particularly fond of males." That was about as simple and clean as it came. If she was going to help him, she'd have to know the root of the problem... Not his problem, but the problem for the leopard he was speaking about.
"Then we are both fortunate to be in the exact right place and time for this encounter to happen." He wasn't spiritual, but he did believe things happened for a reason. Weather it good or bad was up to his reaction, and hers. Though, it seemed innocent enough, for the moment. Moods could change as quick as the direction of the wind. "But enough about me, tell me about yourself?"

Tazi waved away Yamir's apology with her paw, shaking her head gently. "There is no need for such apologies, I only meant that you could approach me in a more friendly fashion. Truth be told, i've never been fond of the 'Miss' title, it feels a little formal for someone like me. Though your manners are not all lost, I do appreciate them!" Offering him a true smile, she flicked her tail happily. "My my Yamir ... do you really think you're up for such a challenge?" She giggled a bit as listened on to his story. She was not overjoyed ... but glad to see he had decided to open up to her after all.
As she listened, her head slowly began to tilt to the side. She wasn't quite sure where he was going with his statement, until he finally finished. "Oh.." were the only words she could muster as she listened on, intrigued by his tale.
Then came his invitation for Tazi to reveal a bit herself. She sat there for a moment, slack jawed and unsure of how to begin.
"Well you may not believe me, but perhaps fortune has a bit more play in our meeting than we thought ..." A pregnant pause passed between them before she tried to continue, though she really didn't know how to approach the subject ... it wasn't like she was very open about her history.
"It seems the two of us are very alike ... I ... have a fondness for those of the female variety ..." Again her tail flicked, though her smile was long gone. "As for the rest of my story, I suppose there isn't much to it. I'm a traveling rogue, trying to find a place to call my own and somehow start a family. Though I suppose you can see my dilemma there can't you?"

This encounter alone showed exactly his predicament that coincidences just didn't happen. He mused for a moment a possible idea, but he didn't want to just spring it out on her. They were both rather particular in taste, and even if it was quite the opposite flavors, it was quite the same, as she said. "I can see a small flaw in that attempt." He said with a nod "But everything can be worked around in one way or another."
He didn't know how to word something that might seem to go against who he was. Though, she was in need of help, and he was more than happy to help anyone that needed it. Almost no matter the cost. It was a silly idea, and he was still unsure. "I do not think we met by chance, my friend." He added with a nod. Maybe she had similar thoughts on the situation.
"How do you keep those you've fallin in love with from running off?" He asked her curiously. Perhaps she had more idea on how to keep those feelings and perhaps enlighten the other with the same feelings. He didn't want to force someone to love him, but sometimes he felt that was the only choice. It was hard, and he hated it at times. But something told him Alani would come through eventually... It was only time that could truly tell.

Tazi could do nothing more than attempt a giggle at his words. Yes, there was an obvious flaw in her plans. One that she wished she could simply blink away, but as always nothing was so simple. She listened on as Yamir continued to speak, but she quickly stopped him in his tracks. "Oh? You think there's something more to it do you? Please, do tell i'd love to hear what's on your mind." And she knew there was something on his mind, she could see it in his eyes. Though she never was the smartest of the bunch, so figuring it out was a far cry. At his final question, Tazi had to take in a deep breath. She wasn't quite sure how to approach his question, but she was fully determined to give it her best shot. "Truth be told Yamir ... i've never been brave enough to confess my feelings to another. I do believe you're the first to even hear of my preference!" Tazi offered her new found friend a bright smile. "But do not fret over your worries, my friend. If the one you have fallen for, truly cares for you ... he will return. Given your polite manner with me, I feel its only a matter of time before he returns. Though whether as a true friend ... or something more, is all up to his heart."

"Well, how often do you meet someone with the same abstract taste." Well, the same and different at the same time. "I do believe you are the first I've met in this sense." He mused and smiled. "So there must be more to it than just simply running into each other." What it was was something they'd have to figure out. He just hoped it wasn't something bad, he hated things that turned bad.
"Oh, my dear!" He said with a slight shake of his head, "You shouldn't waste another second on that!" He smiled. "You're young, the worse anyone could say is no!" Which was true. Though, it could also end up in other interesting situations... He knew that first had. He swished it out of his mind. "You don't want any chances to slip by that might be that one chance to make yourself happy."
"Nothing's easy, however!" He went on, "But when you think you've hit bottom, or have lost all luck in the world, something might just come up and surprise you." Like this meeting, for instance. He may not be good at getting the male he loves to love him back, but he would never forgiven himself if he had not tried.
He gave a laugh. "I don't think he feels the same." he looked to his paws. "He doesn't have much taste as I do." he did forget to tell her that the male he was chasing, also had a lass. But that was something he wasn't going to add. He didn't, after all, have to tell ALL of the story. "It's just nice to verbally speak such things." He decided that was best. Perhaps one day Alani would see him for what he really was, rather than some scum upon the earth. If he didn't, then that was that. Yamir couldn't change his feelings. He was going to accept it eventually, no matter how much it hurt him.
"So, do you love someone?"

Tazi wanted to listen to Yamir's words, but she knew the words of encouragement weren't for her. She was not a fan of rejection, and sometimes her reactions to it were unpredictable. So while his sweet words meant a lot, they were sorely misplaced in her. "I suppose you're right, i'll have to keep those thoughts in mind when I do find someone special." Her tail flicked lightly behind her as she agreed to his words. One day she might take them seriously, but for now they would collect dust in the back of her mind. "I really hope you're right Yamir, right now I feel like I have hit rock bottom." Feigning a smile she looked over at Yamir with interest. "Well be that as it may, he may still come to you as a friend. Even if you can't have him in the way you wish ... i'm sure you would still love to have him back as a companion wouldn't you?" Judging by his talk of him, she could tell he was very much in love with this male, and she was nearly positive he would take him back in any way he could get. Though the wound in his heart would never disappear. As Yamir went on, Tazi stopped her tail swishing, and simple talk with a direct stare into Yamir's eyes. "Well there was this one leopardess I met a while back ... she's very authoritative and strong willed. But i'm not sure if I would say I love her. We only spent a short time together. Perhaps someday i'll go back to her, and request a date or two. But for now, i'd rather spend my time with you."

He nodded at her with a smile, at lease she didn't object his words. Some he had told similar stuff to just looked at him like he was crazy. He supposed he was a bit more relaxed than most creatures, and maybe seemed a little carefree than he really was. He flicked his tail for a moment and put his paw to his face almost like he was thinking deeply.
He dropped his paw to the ground and nodded. "Perhaps, but I still don't think that's possible." He didn't know how to explain it, but maybe one day she'd get it. Or rather, one day she was right and he would come crawling back to be is friend. He smiled at the thought, but it was only a thought. He wasn't going to get his hopes up.
"I'm afraid I'm not much company." He chuckled. "I only have silly stories, and a little advice that might help." He didn't mind the company, however. He enjoyed it quite alot. It was nice talking to someone who understood the woes of his life. "Though, when you do find someone, you could always start a family just the same." He told her with a nod. "There's always ways around it." He had pondered it himself once or twice. It was something that came up often when he was around Alani. "You could find someone to help you both in having children."
Sure, it wouldn't be totally the same, but he was sure they'd care and love them just as much as if they were their kids. "I've thought about it often before, but I suppose it was premature!"

Tazi waved a paw at Yamir's words, hardly taking them to heart. She knew they were nonsense, even in the short time she had known him. She could tell he was quite interesting, or at least far more interesting than she was. Which was definitely a plus for her. "Nonsense!" She laughed a silly laugh, again waving away his words. I would listen to your silly stories any day, your voice is all the company I would need." Flicking her tail behind her lazily, she took a glance at Yamir and hoped she wasn't intruding on anything. "I'd love to stay a while and spend time with you ... if you'll allow for it." This normally would have been the time, to put on her ridiculous doe eyes and act as though she were interested in the male, but Yamir was hardly interested in that lifestyle. "Hmmm I wonder if something like that could be so easy though?" She mused the words, all the while looking Yamir over. She quite liked his idea of a surrogate, but something told her he wasn't referring to himself. "Tell me Yamir, do you ever hope to have children of your own someday?"

He was slightly surprised with her answer. He didn't know he was such good company. He smiled, however, he did enjoy a bit of a compliment. "Stay as long as you want, I don't bite." Who knows, their new found partnership might do him some good one way or another.
"I think it could be as easy as you make it." He nodded. He pondered her question a bit, but not too long. "Aye. I thought a bit on children in my time, but I think that it won't happen as I would hope it would. " He laughed a bit. Not that it was funny. "Perhaps when someone comes willing to help me." He nodded.
