So you want to put up a Kemetic shrine. First thing that might come to mind is "What the duat do I put on it?" *shot for lame pun*
Ok you probably didn't actually think duat. That was bad on my part. But same idea. Where do I start? Will I need to drop hundreds of dollars on my shrine? Let me just stop your train of thought right there. The answer to that question is NO! You don't
need to spend that much money. The general consensus between modern days Kemetics is that all you really need is a libation bowl, offering plate, and some type of imagery of deity(ies) you want to honor (if there aren't any its preferred that the offerings at least go to ma'at). For those that may not know, libation is the pouring of liquid, usually water for Kemetics, in honor of a deity. Some Kemetics will pour the water they offer through the loop of an ankh (Edit: So I found the conversation that mentioned pouring water through an ankh. I was referred to Circle of the Sun by Sharon Laborde). I will dive deeper into the topic of offerings in another thread.

To read Kemetic blogs that have posted on this subject head on over to the
Kemetic Roundtable - Shrine Basics page. Warning - One of the blogs is written by a non-English speaking Kemetic. Sat Ma'at is German. Letting you know so you don't open the blog and be like "WHAT DOES THIS SAY?!" And I don't know German so when Chrome auto-translates I don't know how correct it is.
