Quote: ‘Humane’ officer Barry Accorti arrived at an Ohio home, after a parent called in about a family of cats living in a pile of wood, who she wanted taken to a shelter. The mother of four who called, said the kittens had fleas, and she wanted them removed. Barry Accorti, the officer who arrived shortly, claimed the shelter was full, and that the kittens had to go to “kitty heaven”. Without warning, Barry proceeded to fire rounds into the kittens, executing them point blank in front of four children and the mother. The children began crying and screaming, and the mother later made this a public affair.

whenever someone questions your thinking on trusting government, you have to keep stories like this in mind. isolated incidents and exceptions to the rule are byproducts of individualism. When you convert to collectivism, communitarianism, and variants of socialism, isolated incidents become the norm, because any permissible idea spreads like a virus, including amoral or sadistic behavior.

Do you have a link to the article? Not saying that it didn't happen, because these kinds of things do happen. There was an incident similar about police shooting an animal but it wasn't to get rid of but because the dog was protecting the owner from them. They weren't even at the right address where they needed to be. The owner and dog were on their property minding their own business. Police Shoot Man’s Dog Three Times After Going to His House by Mistake: ‘They Killed My Dog for No Reason’It's shown how much people especially the police have been dehumanized. There are incidents that are similar to the kittens being shot on sight in front of children and mother as well as shooting a dog when it wasn't doing anything wrong.
