Captain Mica didn't find training to be such a waste of time as others might have thought. Perhaps if she had made her way to the complete top she would have felt that taking in junior ranking officers and helping them train would have been beneath her. She wasn't sure how felt, but she didn't feel any bruises to her pride when she agreed to this. As far as she was concerned, this was her duty, and what was Mica if not dutiful?
Their location left a lot to be desired. It was a baseball field for a little league's team that had been hit with some hard times, so the fields were unattended and weeds ran amok, as well as trash that no one could bother to pick up from their last drunken shenanigans. No one actually used this baseball field for its intended purposes, so she felt little shame in dragging Euclase down here for some well needed training.
She gave a beer bottle an absentminded kick as she waited for the Corrupt Senshi to arrive. She knew Euclase was on her way, no doubt about that. She merely wondered how long she intended her to wait, and, if she was that kind of girl, what would her excuse be. Not that Mica would give her a hard time... or maybe she should, just to establish some rules in their little game here. It was all up in the air as far as Mica was concerned, as she sent a disconcerting gaze to the baseball field and waited for Euclase to arrive.

Euclase was late, she knew it. Maybe ten minutes by the time she arrive, though in her defense, she didn't even know this part of town all that well. Moving into the field, she frowns for a moment before she nods to Mica "I'm late, I'm sorry. I lost track of time at the bridal shop while I was looking for my dress." glancing around for a moment, she pushed her hair from her face as she shakes her head "This isn't where were planning on training, right?" she eyes the empty beer bottles, trash, and all the weeds.
This hardly seem like a good place to train in her opinion.
Looking to Mica, she smirks for a moment as she tilts her head "So, what do you have to show me?" she was actually ready to get to training. She knew she could fight, but she was willing to learn more.

Mica didn't think too ill of Euclase for being late. She understood that things happened and that life would get in the way. She still remembered their last discussion and Euclase was very honest when it came to finding it hard to balance her duties as a Negaverse senshi and her civilian life. And she could understand that dilemma, once upon a time. When she had a life to juggle, anyway.
Perhaps it was petty jealousy of Euclase having plans and something to look forward to when she powered down. Or perhaps she simply didn't want to hear any excuses. Whatever it was, it left a sour taste in her mouth, and it may have reflected in her tone, as it was short and colder than it usually would have been. "You never know when you'll run into the enemy. Any given place can be your battleground, at any given moment. You must learn to adapt."
She didn't immediately return the smile, but she was eager to move into the training session. She picked up one of the discarded bottles and gave Euclase a warning, before hurling the projectile at her. "Dodge or intercept."

Euclase only could react as she actually kicks the empty bottle. This was probably a mistake as she watched it shattered, glass shards flying everywhere in the process. Jumping backwards, she looks at Mica, rather confused. Was she in trouble "What the hell? I thought we were going to train? How is throwing a bottle at me training?" if she stopped to think about it, she would have realized it, but she she was in a bit of a shock at the moment.
Taking a few more steps backwards, she instead decides to bring the fight to Mica as she lunges at her. Her fist going right for the side of her waist, just trying to get the upper advantage.

"That was to keep you on your toes," Mica said, replying to her angered shout with forced calm, and it was hard to not want to take advantage of that raw emotion she saw. It made her quick to want to forget how, for a brief moment, she had allowed her own jealousy get the better of her, and she rather liked how Euclase was quick to retaliate.
It was always hard to predict where the blow would come from, but the captain tried her best to dodge. It was always better to dodge than to block, especially when her opponent was as strong and eager as Euclase was, and she stepped to the side, the fist just barely missing her waist but the motion nearly knocked Mica off balance. It took her a moment to find her footing once more, and, feeling that there was no need for her spear, she curled her fist and tried for a strike of her own, aiming at the senshi's shoulder.
"Think of that bottle as an attack from a senshi," Mica said, lunging forward for the strike. "Neither one you'd want to be at the receiving end of."
She had to remind herself that this was a Corrupt Senshi, one of her own... there was no need to really hurt her. But habits and instincts... were hard to overcome. Even for her...

Euclase took the hit to her shoulder, nearly crying out in pain thanks to past injuries to it. Stumbling back, she rolls her shoulder, ignoring the pain "Alright I get it, but can we not bruise my face or upper body please?" dropping down, she brings her foot out to foot sweep Mica. She wasn't trying to hurt her, this was training.
But she learn, even with training, she had to take it serious.
She couldn't stay mad at Mica, as she knew she was only trying to help her out. If anything, she had more respect for her. Respect that was very hard to obtain, and in such a short amount of time, Mica earned it.
That alone, made her want to try harder and prove herself to Mica.ChibiGingi Sorry for such a crappy post hun. I'm trying to get the muses to all work again after being sick.

Mica felt little sympathy for Euclase when her blow connected, but not out of spite or even the fact that she could play the role of callous mentor, but because she knew that Euclase could handle it. Euclase was strong, and dependable, when her mind was set on something, and it was because of this that Mica wasn't willing to hold back as much as she probably should have. There was a war in their city, and Euclase was worried about bumps and bruises ruining her skin?
She wanted to chide her and tell her that the enemy wouldn't care for such a request, but the leg sweep was a pleasant surprise. Euclase's leg hit the side of her own and Mica was forced off balance, knocking her down to one knee but not entirely taking her out as she just barely caught herself with one hand to the ground. She hadn't completely toppled over, but it was hard to recover from such a position without getting tangled in the drapes of her own attire.
"Very well. Let's aim for the legs, then." Mica was willing to humor her request, and from that crouched and barely balanced position on her knees, she drove a fist forward, trying to aim for the thigh and hoping to avoid the knee. As strong as her knuckles were, she was certain that they'd lose against the might of the knee... or risk damaging Euclase's ACL or knee cap.Krista_Darkangel_Silme Nothing to apologize for! c:

Euclase eyes widen as a pinch was thrown at her thigh, cause her to twist. She felt the knuckles brush her thigh, and there was no way to hide the fact it did hurt. Trying not to swear, she picks up a handful of dirt and throw is at Mica's face. She didn't feel bad for it, she was simply trying to give herself some time and space. Rolling to the side, she gets back up as she turns towards Mica. Her eyes narrow on the captain before her "Mica I have a question, I came across a senshi who was actually stronger then me. She messed me up pretty badly..." she felt honestly angry with herself over that mess "How can I get as strong as her?" she wanted that power, she needed that power. She didn't want to feel weak anymore.

Had it been a Senshi or Knight that had the nerve to throw much in her face, Mica would have turned her spear on them and run it through them in a heartbeat. She had to fight down the impulse to do that now, and despite the filth that was digging into her eyes, she had admired Euclase for having the gumption to resort to such a tactic. After all, in war, there was no room for honor, and Mica respected that notion more than most.
She took a moment to try and wipe the dirt from her face, mentally thankful that the corrupted Senshi seemed to be willing to give her a moment to recover, if only to ask her a question. By the time her eyes were freed from the dirt, Mica was preparing for another strike, but first, she would grant her student and fellow officer her answer. "You ask that question, but you already know the answer to that. Or at least I thought you once did… perhaps these other plans are clouding your pretty little head?"
Despite the dirt that still lingered on her face, Mica gave a smile, and she motioned for Euclase to strike her. "Your goal is not to be as strong as her, or any other Senshi. Your goal is to be stronger than them. Better than them. Rise above them. You proved this to me once before- do it again."

Euclase nods, actually feeling guilt at Mica's words. Was she honestly being clouded by things in her life at the moment. Shaking her head, she grows angry at herself before she looks to Mica "Nothing is clouding my head at the moment. I'm focused on my task and what I have to do." with that she charges Mica throwing a few punches at her face. She knew she asked for hits not to go to the face, but she also knew that she wouldn't have a choice if she were attacked.
"I just want to know if I can get to that power. I never want to feel like that again." the fear that she could very well die at the hands of the white moon senshi, that she would never see anyone but the face of the one who killed her. Shaking her head, she growls in anger as she kicks at Mica's face .
Anger drove her to push herself harder in this training.

Mica did not smile often and when she did it was often a farce, but for Euclase and the resolve she showed, it certainly brought a genuine smile on her lips. Not that it lasted long as the Senshi aimed her next set of blows to her face, and Mica was pleased to see her taking this training session as seriously as she was now.
Even when it earned her a blow to the chin.
"Why ask me? Do you think I can give you that power?" Mica asked, her words a little slurred thanks to the blow, and she tried to keep herself out of range of that kick- as strong as she fancied herself to be, she knew that a kick to the head would have rendered her useless, and then who would train this one? "You already have that power, just locked away until a General-King or Queen deems you ready."
She could not ignore that anger she heard, and she admired it, to an extent. She knew that different people were fueled by different emotions, but she couldn't help but fear for Euclase' safety if that rage made her too volatile, too sloppy. She countered that anger with a forced calm, wondering if it would spread to the Senshi or simply add to her rage, as she rose an arm to catch that swinging leg. "Do you fight all Senshi with this tenacity, or did I strike a nerve?"

Euclase eyes soften at mica's question, pulling her leg from the captain's hand so she can lower it "I got my a** handed to me, pretty bad. I thought I could take this senshi on, but I was so wrong. I stood my ground, but I still feel like it was nothing. I was weak against her, and it pisses me off. I don't like feeling weak against anyone, its not who I am. I've always been strong." she balls her fist up, trying to force herself to calm down.
"The next time I see that senshi, I want her to be the one bleeding. Not me, I want her to fear me. I want her to be the one on her knees, fearing that she could be dying at that moment. Not me..." she looks down at her arm, where she now has scars from the battle.
"I keep thinking that anger within me over losing to that white moon freak will get the best of me, so I am trying to control it. Its hard though, I won't lie. I hate losing." she gives a weak laugh before she looks back up at Mica "I just want to prove I am worth something to you, and everyone in the Negaverse."

Mica listened to Euclase's tale, pondering who this senshi could have been to cause such a reaction from one such as Euclase. Even given her rank, Euclase was a tough cookie and it was that tenacity and dedication that made Mica willing to take her under her wing, so to speak. It was still the reason why she waited so long for her to show, or why she even gave her the time of day right now. And Euclase hadn't lost any of that respect, though by looking at Mica, one couldn't tell.
The captain gave a solemn nod, looking at her scarred hand and unable to ignore the impulse to wince at the sight of it. Had Mica been there, Euclase wouldn't have suffered such a fate… and this shame only made Mica respect Euclase all the more.
"That's the attitude to take, then," Mica said. "Hating to lose. No one likes to lose, especially when losing a battle could lead to losing your life, and then, what use would you be? You've learned your lesson… and once we control that rage within you, you will become all the stronger for it."
And to that last bit, Mica gave an uncharacteristic, but true, smile. "You already have. You're still alive. You're eager to better yourself. The Negaverse could not ask for more than your continued loyalty."

With a nod, Euclase couldn't stop herself from returning Mica's smile with her own. Looking down, she nods in agreement "Yes, control the rage. I think I can do that if I just focus myself. Maybe some yoga, I've heard that often helps?" she gives a small chuckle as she looks back up "I'm glad I haven't disappointed you Mica." she shifts her stance as she nods.
"So you were helping me train?" she was ready to continue with her training, this time she was gonna control her anger though.

The mention of yoga intrigued Mica, but she didn't address the matter, nor did she think ill of Euclase's mind wondering to that topic. The saying 'different strokes for different folks' help some water here and what might have worked with Mica, might not have been as successful with Euclase. They were just too different, but that wasn't a bad thing. Whereas Mica prided herself into keeping her focus and never allowing the enemy to see the true self, Euclase excelled in not only magic but in determination and tenacity, things that Mica felt she was lacking as of late.
"Yes, let's continue," Mica said, twisting her weapon around and holding it at the ready, letting the Senshi know that she was ready for her approach once more. She planted her feet firmly into the ground but kept her spear poised and ready, just above the ground but not digging it in. "Try to knock this weapon from my hand. Let that be your focus… pretend my weapon is the one you want to hurt so dearly, if you want."
Mica tightened her grip around the hilt, making it very clear that she had no intention of letting it out of her grasp so easily. She wanted to see just how much Euclase wanted to succeed, and what she was willing to do, to either an enemy or a foe, to achieve it. It might welcome trouble, but she needed to see Euclase's resolve...
