Naveen paused in his walking, the little cart of goods creaking as he did so. He scanned the area behind him until he spotted the young mare he was searching for. "Acacia," he called, "Let's go." His pink eyes danced with amusement at his adopted daughter. So full of life, so intensely curious about the world around her... The little, shivering blanket he and Cynthia had taken in had blossomed into a lovely mare in the blink of an eye. Acacia lifted her head from the flowers she'd been inspecting, sighing but nodding. "Alright, I'm coming," she called back. She trotted after him, inspecting their surroundings as they walked. After a while, she heard an odd thumping sound. "I think someone's over there," she commented to her father. "Can I go look?"Naveen nodded, calmly observing the same sound she did. They both knew it would be hard for him to travel through the deeper grass... "Alright. Just be careful, sweetheart."The mare smiled. "Don't worry, I will." She gracefully maneuvered through the tall grass, unable to see much. But she could hear well enough, and she seemed to be getting closer to the sound...

THWACK scuffle, scuffle scuffle. THWACK scuffle, scuffle scuffle. The young foal stepped back a few paces before rearing and THWACK head-butting the tree with his ram horns. His eyes squinted shut from the rear, he continuously did so... over and over... even when the insides of the tree began to show itself. THWACK scuffle, scuffle scuffle. To any passer-by, he would seem weird, strange even... but Cedomir had a reason. He wanted to be as strong as daddy and with his horns.. well maybe he could be stronger... And Diony didn't have horns.. He needed to be ready for him to... and well... anything else that was stronger and faster than him. He had to work. Today... his ramming skills... tomorrow... His running. He would work up until he was the strongest... He was already the oldest after all... The oldest boy that is.. Ceto and Cerys were older than him.. but he was older than Dail, Diony and Del.... And he needed to be stronger to. THWACK scuffle, scuffle scuffle.

Acacia blinked when she passed through the tall grass and into a small clearing. There was a young foal with... ram horns? How interesting. And he was... ramming into a tree. Had something got stuck up in the tree? Hm... maybe not; it probably would've fallen out by now. Was it for training or was he just blowing off steam? She watched for a while, unable to keep a giggle from escaping her lips as she observed the foal. He had such a serious face! She didn't know why but it was funny.

Startled, and half thinking it was his brother that was laughing at him again, Cedomir turned and prepared to run after him, but paused when he saw the prettiest thing... even prettier than momma, standing there giggling at him. A blush lit up his face for a moment before he shook it off and peered at her curiously. "Uhm. Hello!" He said brightly

Acacia blushed herself, a little embarrassed that she'd been caught watching the colt. "Hello. I'm sorry for interrupting." She smiled brightly at him, her snow white eyes alight. "My name is Acacia Winter. What is your name?" What cute little spots. And an interesting pattern on his back... he was going to be a real heart-breaker when he was older.

Cedomir tilted his head and studied the female before blushing and realizing she had asked his name. "Uh... I'm.. uh..." Blast it! What the hell was his name??? Dail... Deldragan... Dionysus.. Cerys... Ceto- Ah! That's it! Cedomir! "I'm Cedomir. Son of Damir and Cecelia. Grandson of Daria, of the Human Aila Darkfeather." He said naming his ties, as his father had taught him to. He shook his head, figuring he might have hit the tree a few too many times.. even though his thick skull helped protect him from the hits, something he like alot about the gift from his mother.

Acacia couldn't help giggling at his stammering. He was so cute! "Cedomir, son of Damir and Cecelia. Grandson of Daria, of the human Aila Darkfeather," She repeated. The mare gave him a lovely, warm smile. "It's nice to meet you, Cedomir." Eyes dancing, she teased, "Should I reintroduce myself with my relations?"

Cedomir's eyes widened. Had he offended her? Should he not have listed his ties? Oh no.. what if she wasn't raised proper like Daddy said some weren't? He shook his head really fast. It didn't matter that she wasn't proper, she was pretty and that made up for it... atleast.. for him it did.. But he would need to teach her to be proper.. It was only the right thing to do.. right? "No! No its okay. You don't have to list your ties if you don't want to.. Daddy says its proper and insists that all of us.. Mona, Kamryn, Brise, Aiyala, Vindr, Celiev, Seabreeze, Dahlia, Theolan, Moon, Dail, Dionysus, Deldragan, Cetolaelia, and Cerys, all of us need to use it so we know who is family and who is safe... But i'm pretty sure you are safe.. I mean.. You don't look like one of them stupid... ah.. I mean... uh... " he blushed. What if she was a sixer? Should he run for momma? But.. no that would bring her to the family if she chased him and he didn't want anyone to get hurt... He could take care of it himself.. He had horns of course!

Acacia laughed. "I was teasing. And you don't have to worry about me. My father's a merchant. If you really want to, we can go talk to him--he's just over there." She gestured towards the tall grass, turned back to Cedomir, and playfully raised an eyebrow. "But you know, not all Sixers are dumb brutes. Some of them are quite polite." She smiled again. "I can see why you use the titles. You've got a large family!" Sometimes she wondered what it would be like to be in a large family like that. It had always been her and her parents.
Well, and Longwei. But that was someone she doubted she'd be mentioning.

Cedomir looked at the female, his heart dropping a bit when she defended them. The sixers! How could anyone defend them!? He looked down and turned around, upset and hurt. He just couldn't understand it... He was so upset he couldn't even bring himself to answer her. She was so pretty.. probably as pretty as Gam'maw had been... yet she defended the very ones that hurt her... His little head just couldn't understand it and it was driving him into a bit of an instant depression. He lowered his horns and rammed against the tree, knocking the large thing over with the last one. He stood back and shook his head, looking at it with a sense of pride that he had been strong enough to do so, but then he figured his horns probably now looked worn so he would need to ask Aila or Thalanir or Kyrielle to help him polish them... He had to stay looking good you know.

Acacia blinked when he didn't reply and instead turned back to the tree. She smiled sadly as the tree fell. "You really don't like them, do you?" The question was soft and nonjudgmental, neither chiding nor confused. The mare quietly slipped by him, nosing about in the branches of the fallen tree. When she lifted her head, an acorn was gently clasped between her teeth. She then moved a foot or so away from the trunk of the felled tree and dug a hole in the dirt, dropping the acorn in and covering it up again.

Cedomir watched her, his face impassive, showing now emotion though he was curious what she was doing. "They killed my grandmother..." He stated simply, going over to sniff the buried acorn. Thinking it through, he realized that she was planting a new tree to take the place of the one he knocked down. It was something he should remember, cause like Daddy said, for everyone that falls, another is made to take their place... Like his aunts and uncles that were born just before Daria died, or his older brother and sister... Well.. Daddy more than compensated in the long run for all of the Fallen.. atleast thats what Cedomir figured... He wasn't that good at counting yet.

"I see." Acacia white eyes all but glowed as she looked down at him. "There's a lot of fighting going on now, even within each side. It's a sad ideal that's winning the war." She went and retrieved a second acorn, planting it away from the first. "But I'd like to think a better ideal will come out on top."

Acacia blinked, then smiled sheepishly. "Ah, I guess I should explain. Papa always says that wars come in pairs: a war of physical battles and the war of ideals that drive the physical war. So to sum up this war, the war of ideals is between the north, who desires a world where Azrien and two-leggers live together peacefully, and the south, who desire a world without two-leggers. But because of the physical battle, those ideals clashing just seems to be making an ideal of hatred on both sides. I think it's a sad ideal. Because as long as it's the ideal in control, the war won't end." She paused and blushed, the sheepish smile returning. "Sorry. I guess it's really philosophical..." Her explanation might've just gone over his head...
