My Delilah isn't looking doing very good these days. I've had her ever since I was a baby, she has been with me everyday of my life. To see her so old, fragile and lost, it just makes me so sad. I love her so much ♥ crying

I know how you feel. my parents' cats lived to be in their 20's and they were there before I was even born, it was hard watching them die.
my oldest cat now is 11 and has gotten a bit thinner but is still ok, but my first cat died around his age due to cancer so im a bit paranoid about that right now

I don't know how much longer she has, she's very very senile and she falls over now. She's much skinnier and she's so tired all the time

She looks like a tortie. Does she have any white on her? And shes very beautiful. 18 years is a long time for a cat. smile
How did you get her? And what are some of her key personality traits? (I find that talking helps the process.)

I'm sorry your girl isn't well!
I have heaps of sympathy... I lost my Cricket a bit over a year and a half ago, at the age of sixteen and a half. He'd been given to my mum when I was eleven but he and I loved each other from the start, so he came with me when I left home. He was there for the end of primary school and for high school. He was there for the years I was a drudge at McDonald's, he was there to comfort me while I struggled through uni, then the couple of years where I had a good job in a cheap town, so money to spare. He came with me when I moved across Australia to be with my partner and helped keep me sane when I had an awful, soul-rotting job and barely enough money to eat... and then I lost him a couple of months before I moved back to (temporarily) live with my parents. He was the centre of my life for almost as long as I can remember clearly, and losing him broke me in a big way. I'd been through two years of hell and losing him at the end was ... bad. I still don't think my mind is back to where it used to be.
Anyway, the point is that losing a cat is devastating and it will hurt when it happens (may it be a long time away yet!), but every second you spent together is precious and worth treasuring... so love her as much as you can!
