Nine at night meant his mother was watching something stupid on the TV in the living room and, likely, well into her cups. Jude was experienced enough, familiar enough, to know that meant it was wise for him to be out of her sight and out of her mind and, on top of that, relatively quiet. That was alright. He had work to do anyway. Eight pins in his mouth, at this hour he wasn't about t oset the sewing machine going, but that didn't mean he couldn't cut and trim, couldn't hand-hem and set up his darts. The tux jacket was a size and a half two big but, given some time and some work, it'd fit just right, and then he'd have something to wear for prom in a year. The buzz of his phone, hard enough that it twitched a bit across the table in front of him, surprised him enough that he pricked his fingertip. Cursing, he sucked on the damaged digit and reached out to check who had texted. He blinked, frowned, head tipped to the side, and checked the time again. Sure, school was out, but...no. Maybe it wasn't that late. He stumbled to one-handedly type in his reply.

Patients was not one of Po's virtues. She probably should have at least waited for his reply before showing up at his window, but it was pretty obvious when she got there that he wasn't doing anything important. At least not what she would consider important... It was probably important to him.
Either way, she appeared in his window before he could finish tapping out a reply, arms folding on the sill, grinning at him. "We're going out," she informed him, leaving very little room to argue.
Gray eyes jumped to the sewing project, and curiously she wondered what he was making, but not enough to climb through an check it out. Later, she could ask later. Right that moment she was on a mission. "Grab your swimming suit and get your butt out here." That said, she dropped back away from the window to wait in his lawn, arms folded over a pale tank top that was very obviously thrown over a two piece bikini.

Given about twenty more seconds, Jude might have argued with her -- long enough for him to take the pins out of his mouth, to set down what he was working on, and figure out how to say no. Twenty seconds later, though, she was already dropped back into the lawn, and he was left with no one but himself to argue with.
"Um." It was soft, floundering, and he blinked at the wall for a moment before any argument went out of him like water. Carefully he set down his work, shoved all the pins into his pincushion and -- with one peek out the window down at Porsha -- decided that when a hot girl with a see-through shirt told you to put on your bathing suit, you did it.
It'd take him a bit to find it, though. She'd probably be impatient by the time he came dropping down out the window. Surely they'd done this before, and he'd been a limp fish, awkwardly flopping his way down to the ground -- but not this time. This time he did it smoothly, almost practiced. Maybe time with Laoise had done him some good.
He blinked at her, adjusting his plain swim trunks. "...what?"

The longer he took the more impatient the teen grew, until she was tapping her foot in the grass, practically glaring up at the open window until he made his appearance in it. For half a second she expected him to argue, but she was pleased to see he'd already changed, and was shimmying out the window with out so much as a single word of protest. It had her grinning by the time he landed and turned to face her. She ignored his question, and instead grabbed a hold of his arm as she hurriedly walked the pair of them out of his yard and started down the street. Not because she thought his mom would catch them, she never did, but they lived in an iffy part of town, and if their neighbors saw a couple of kids climbing out a window they might call the cops. Probably not.. But she would rather avoid the problem altogether. When they'd reached the corner she slowed down and slid her hand down to lace her fingers with his. "We're going swimming," she informed him, as if the bathing suits weren't obvious enough. "You know that hoity toity country club near the park?" It still baffled her how such a rich community could almost butt up against their own s**t hole little section of town, but she supposed a set of tracks, a fringe of trees, and a tall brick wall were barrier enough between the snobs and the white trash.

"Um...yeah..." His response was slow, uncertain, uncomfortable -- perhaps already seeing where she was going with this. It had a guarded quality. Or maybe that was become of the fingers tangled together and how close she was to him.
Jude did know the place, though perhaps for different reasons than her. More than once he'd put his name into the hat for hiring. It'd probably pay better than Slave to the Grind, but no one had ever called back, perhaps preferring to hire by word of mouth than to take on random kids from the neighborhood.
"Why?" Sealing his doom with a question. He was already in. Already an accomplice.

"Because I hear they installed a heater, and I'm really anxious to go check it out." She squeezed his fingers, grinning at him before looking up and down the street. It wasn't like there was traffic out, but she wasn't really looking for cars. Some of the neighborhood kids had a bad habit of following people around, looking for trouble, and she was really looking to avoid a fight tonight. When they reached the tracks she hopped up on the rail, walking along it a ways as she scanned the tree line, looking for her usual path. "We're no different from the snobby kids that get to swim there every day," she informed him proudly, letting out a sharp breath through her nose. "Just luck that let them be born into rich families." She sounded resentful, and she was. Her childhood held a lot of hard times, peppered throughout with happy memories. It should have been the opposite. If anyone knew how she felt, it was Jude, and Po glanced down at him before hopping off the rail so she could bump her shoulder against his. "We deserve it more then them." Finally she spotted the gap in the trees, and gave his arm a soft tug. "How are you at climbing?" The grin was back, the one that said she was up to no good.

Jude blinked, taking in the gap himself, and slowly figured out what she was suggesting. It showed on his face, concernend and upset, worried. Unsure. She wanted to break in, and while he'd known that before, he'd been going along -- well, unwillingly. If he agreed now, he'd be agreeing.
"Po..." It came out slow, obvious that he was going to argue with her. Or try to. Except that he hesitated, and floundered, and wasn't quite sure what to say.

"Judy?" She glanced at him as she continued to pull him towards the gap in the trees, and as they drew closer the face of a tall brick wall came into view. It was about 10 ft. tall, but Porsha didn't seem at all detoured by it. Hoping to cut off any pending argument, the teen turned to face the blonde, releasing his fingers so she could plant her hands on her hips. "Listen, this isn't the first time I've snuck in here before, I know my way around." Because that was totally the problem here, not the breaking and entering. Frowning, she stepped closer to him. "Don't you trust me?" It was such an unfair tactic, but she really, really, wanted to go swimming. The pout that followed the question may have been overkill, but she needed him to say yes. Anything but a yes would result in more wasted time that could be better spent in the luxuriously heated pool that lay on the other side of the wall, and through the back nine of a golf course.

He hadn't even had time to formulate all his reasons why not to do this, and she was already making arguments as to why they should. He blinked at her, helpless and just a bit unhappy, his heart already starting to hammer as he thought about breaking the rules. Thought about getting caught and thrown out -- or worse, pressed charges. Jude wouldn't be surprised if Porsha had something on her record, but his was still clean, at least --
"But. It's not. I'm sure you think..." His mind spun as he looked up at the brick wall, avoiding her gaze. Laoise, at least, would have encouraged him to scale it. Learn something new. Practice. But still.
"I'm sure you...you can't... account for everything." That was weak, though. If she started over the wall, he'd almost certainly follow.

The teen only pouted harder as he attempted to protest, but it slipped into a sly little grin as he informed her that she couldn't account for everything. She moved into him, arms wrapping around his neck, body pressed the length of his, so she could whisper close to his ear. "You need to lighten up, Judy." Leaning back she lay a kiss on his cheek. "This is about having fun." With that she let him go, turned on a heel, and took a running start at the wall. When she reached it she sort of kept going, running up it a few steps before grabbing the edge and hauling herself up. Perched on the edge, she kicked her feet, heels drumming against the bricks, and waited for him. "Come on, the nights not getting any younger."

For a moment, brief, Jude was too stunned to do anything at all -- standing at the base of the wall and floundering, arguments slipped away. Then, shooting a nervous look back over his shoulder, around them, looking for lights and hearing footsteps where there were none, he followed.
He wasn't as graceful or as creative as her, choosing instead to shove his toes into cracks in the stonework and haul himself up the simple way, but he managed it without falling or embarrassing himself, and that was something, at least. A year ago, he wouldn't have been able to. Hell, six months ago...
"W-what if we do get caught, though?"

Po grinned as Jude shimmied his way up the wall. she thought she'd have to help him, but he impressed her by making it up himself. It might not have been pretty, but that didn't matter. "Lookit you go." She gave his arm a pat, then rose up into a couch before rolling backward to flip off the wall, landing nimbly on the other side. His questioned earned him chuckle. "It won't happen, but in th eunlikely event it does, you let me to the talking, got it?" Wouldn't be the first time she had to talk herself out of a tight situation. "But like i said, won't happen." A wink was tossed back at him as she hurried ahead towards the edge of the golf course. "We're almost there." There was a long stretch of well groomed green between them and the pool. Po pointed towards a little shed beside it. "We're gunna make a run for it, head straight for that little building, k?" Another grin, then she was gone, sprinting across the fairway.

It took Jude a bit longer than her to get down; hesitating, perched on the edge, his eyes narrowed, before he dared the hop down. His landing was, actually, fairly neat: sinking to a crouch before he straightened, and shaking himself out for a moment before he trotted to catch up with her, legs stretched out. He hadn't even caught his shirt or hem or anything.
He'd barely settled in at her side before she was off again, and he was left gaping, helpless. Let her talk sounded good. Dashing for the shed? Great. He paused just another moment before taking off after her, too late to even token protest, this time.

Po arrived safely at the side of the shed and flattened herself against the outside wall, waiting for the sound of Jude running behind her. When he got close, she reached out to catch him by the arm and pull him in against him and out of the immediate view of the golf course. There were no guards near the pool, never had been. They stuck to the main entrance, and every once in a great while patrolled along the surrounding path that wove between fairways. Once they got inside the fenced in pool area they'd been home free.
In sandals Jude was actually taller then her by about 3 inches, and she grinned up at him as she caught her breath and waited for him to catch his own. Then, after a moment, she gave his arm a soft tug and nodded towards a gap in the fence between shed and shrubbery.
She slipped through first, then nearly swooned when she caught a glimpse of the pool itself. There were lights glowing beneath the surface set into the sides, and instead of a traditional rectangle the thing was in an 'L' shape, with a small partition at the end turning the foot of the L into a hot tub. It was a beautiful sight.
The teen wasted little time in pulling her tank top up and over her head, revealing a black bikini with white paisley print swirling along it. The bottoms were much the same as she kicked her shorts off and tossed them and her shirt on a lounge. Shoes followed.

In contrast, Jude lagged in her wake, moving slowly, still shooting surreptitious and nervous looks around them as they slid through the fence. Let Po race ahead, stripping and heading for the pool -- Jude would lag, still up against the fence, clutching his towel and watching her with just a hint of a flush on his cheeks, trying to decide what to do.
It would take him a bit before, slowly, he stripped off his sandals and set down his towel, trailing after her with his shirt still on. He spoke in a rough whisper. "Won't it attract attention? The noise, I mean."
