Biography: Alice spent most of her life in an orphanage, abandoned by her parents when she was just a baby. She grew up very sheltered, fawned over and babied by the owners of the orphanage because of how fragile she was. None of the other children were allowed to play with her, just in case they got to rowdy or upset her. She was a girl of few words, but many thoughts; she loved games, and fairy tales, but she seemed stuck in her own mind, constantly daydreaming and zoning out. She was treated with as much care and love as a porcelain doll, and so that became her nickname.
When she was about twelve years old, she was adopted by a wealthy and charitable family, who sent her to a private school where she could be taught in what they thought was a safe environment. They wanted to try and help her live a normal life, like she never got to as a younger kid. It was made clear after a while that the change was unhealthy for her: the crowds made her tense, the noise overstimulated her, and the teachers and students caused her a lot of stress. She threw constant fits whenever she was upset, which wasn't hard to do. Eventually she was pulled from school and her parents hired a personal tutor. This also failed- she was unfocused, and practically had the mind of a seven-year-old child, even at the age of fourteen. She was far too caught up in her own little Wonderland to be taught anything.
With few options left, her adoptive parents caught word of the digital school that was being founded and put that as their next interest for her. Maybe in a computer-programmed world she could learn and make friends without getting overstimulated and losing her head. They paid for her application and had her sent there right away. Their hopes for her held water, as she seemed much more stable in the simulator. She still retained her traits from real life, but they were much less harmful and destructive in the virtual world, so they decided to let her stay for a year, as a trial.
Personality: Alice is innocent and sweet-natured, but very sensitive to sound, touch and just emotional hurt in general. If someone were to upset her, say by taking her favorite stuffed rabbit, Peter, it would likely end in an explosive and violent tantrum, with her kicking and screaming all the way. To be blunt, she is childish and immature, maybe even a little bratty. Despite this, she is rather intelligent, and loves puzzles and chess -games that require thought and strategy- more than any others. Regularly, she's thoughtful and silent, usually by herself. She's an insomniac, so she always seems to be half-asleep, or in some sort of comatose state of mind. While she comes off as little more than a cute and shy girl, it sometimes is made apparent that there are darker things going on at the back of her head, usually by the things she makes her toys say in her place. She is very naive and friendly to almost everyone, but if you get on her bad side she is more than capable of holding a grudge.
