A cold wind Screamed through Yai's Main as she walked along this seemingly endless field. Looking above she noticed the clouds growing Darker by the second.
" A Storm? " A rather worried expression appeared on her face. She had no where to call home and No shelter. To be caught in a storm would be most unfortunate.
Deciding to pick up her pace the began to trot scanning her surrounding's for any Glimpse of shelter. In the distance was a Rock Formation In amongst what appeared to be a forest. What was a trot turned into a canter as the Clouds began to bellow with the cry's of Thunder with the Flashes of Lightening that Quickly followed.
Behind her the Heavy rain starting to pour as if it were chasing her, She found herself at the entrance to the forest fighting against the wind from before.
" This is... not my day" Slightly aggravated that a nice day would turn this quickly, Pounding the earth in haste to get to the rocks ahead, Branches scratching and grazing her as if trying to stop yai from getting any further, the rain drenches her fur and Plaited main. At the base of the rocks she traipsed into a dry spot, dripping with mud, Matted hair and scratches over her body and legs. Backing up against the wall she shivers wishing she had at least eaten something before this madness

A crack of thunder drew the young stallion's attention toward the sky. When did a storm start to roll in? He questioned, trying to remember if he had seen the clouds earlier that day or not. After a short while he frowned, realizing just how fast it was coming in and just how far away from his family he currently was.
"I'll never get back in time...I'll be caught in this mess..." Melon sighed and looked around the open field. The nearby forest was the only means of shelter until it passed. "Guess I'm spending the day there...hopefully it passes before it gets dark..." He mumbled, starting for the forest edge.
It wasn't long until the downpour started and he was completely soaked through. Quickening his pace, Melon began to run through the trees in hopes of finding an overhang or a cave nearby.

Watching the torrential downpour patter down, flickering her ears as the sound of clapping comes closer 'hm?' she pondered as to who it maybe. It was odd for her to see any one on her travels, it had been so long since she had saw another.
she took afew steps forward, droplets hitting her muzzle "Is there... any one out there " her voice gentle, though with such a quiet voice it might not travel through the air with all this rain.
Pouting all she could do was waited for the rain to stop. A sudden roar of thunder then a strike of Lightening Hit a nearby tree causing her to shriek, heart pounding as she backs up
" If.. if that was any closer, i could have Died ! " the rain was the only reason a fire wasnt started from that strike. She took deep breathes wondering if she should brave the harsh weather and relocate to another place.

Melon jumped and skidded to as much of a halt as he could in the mud when he caught the lightning strike before him. That was the last thing he needed!
"I don't need to get hit...gotta be careful with all these tall trees." He told himself, giving the area a quick once over before charging towards a rocky overhang nearby. He failed to notice the mare hiding there as well, as he practically barreled full speed into her.
"Ah! Who's here? I didn't see anyone because of all this rain in my eyes--" The young stallion started, shaking his head and looking ahead again to figure out who -or what- was in front of him.

The heavy rain pouring, Yai stood still staring intensely at it. Narrowing her eyes she saw a silhouette coming towards her, getting bigger and bigger.
She shook her head and passed it off as an illusion from lack of food and coldness.
Suddenly the figure from before came crashing into her, knocking her against the rocks, She hollers out in Alittle pain and shock. Slowly she rests against the wall attempting to brace herself against it
" What.... ?"
she looks around to see what hit her, A young stallion was before her.
" Oh i . i am sorry are you alright ? " She didnt think what she saw before was real, so she didnt keep her eyes on ... well him
"What are you doing out in this weather? " She wobbles alittle closer to see if the male was hurt in any way

Melon frowned when the mare started talking to him. His thoughts raced in a panic that he might have hurt her in his intense need to get out of the bad weather.
"I'm so sorry! I didn't hurt you did I?" He asked her in a panic, completely ignoring her own questions back to him for several minutes. He shoved his face as close as he could and began to look her over. "You seem okay...I hope you are anyway. I don't want to hurt anyone..." He mumbled, eventually looking down at the muddy ground.
His ears snapped forward when he realized the entire time she had been talking to him in return. "Oh! Sorry....I'm fine...I was just out in the field because it's fairly close to home. I wasn't expecting a storm to appear as suddenly as it did."

The Stallion seemed to be more concerned about her health and well being than before his own, as he skips over her question. Clapping her back right hoof on the ground to make sure her legs were alright, she did this for each leg.
" No, no i dont think i am. i have a small graze but it is nothing. " she looks to her hide, she tilts her head while flickering her ears.
"i am glad to see your alright. Oh You live close? how nice. yes the weather caught me by surprise to " She then sneezed, shaking her head and main. slowly she looked around the stallion while keeping up conversation, just to double check he wasnt hurt any where.
The Sky pitch black with no signs of letting up any time soon with the rain chucking it down while they both rest under this foundation of rocks. Sudden small groan emitted from Yai's stomach
" COUGH" Attempting to cover up her tummy noise's as she suspiciously smiles at the male

Melon relaxed a bit once she confirmed she was alright and smiled. He was glad to see that at least he didn't hurt her. Had he done that, what would have happened? It would have been nearly impossible to move her somewhere else for help. Plus he didn't really know any others who could help.
The stallion shook his head clear of the thoughts and smiled at her again. "You sound hungry...how long have you been out here?" He asked, tilting his head curiously. "Do you not know the area? Like...where to find berries or something? Something other than grass anyway..." He mumbled, looking back down at the muddy ground. Where they were currently trapped wasn't exactly good for having a meal. Not until the storm let up a bit anyway.

" I .. I am sorry " she bowed he head politely
"You werent supposed to hear that. " muttering quietly.
"Oh, um a couple of days? give or take. I am not from around here. i go where the wind takes me. I dont know where all the normal spots for food are, so grass is pretty much all i have been eating." A gentle smile appears on her muzzle followed by a soft giggle " Oh My, How rude of me " She bows her head again. " My name is Yaivayle, Please call me Yai if it suits you "
Softly she flickers his wings and folds them back up.
black clouds hanging over head start to open up in places, sun bursting through as the rain becomes more of a Fine sprinkle.
Yai looks to the sky and smiles
" Ah look, it is clearing. I dont mind the rain so much when it is like this." Slowly she walks out from under the shelter.
"It should be completely clear soon, What do you think ? " She turns back to the young stallion that had kept her company through the freak storm.

Melon chuckled softly then gave her a reassuring smile. "It's okay, everyone gets hungry! Plus, I know of some good spots to find fruit and berries and stuff like that if you're tired of grass. My mother showed it to me and sometimes asks me to bring things back for her." He said, quite proud of knowing where something delicious was.
"Grass can get quite old after a while." With a firm nod, he then turned his attention toward the sky again.
"Soon...if you don't mind getting a little bit wet...we can start walking there now? It's still probably not that great to fly with wet wings." He mumbled. "But if you'd rather try and dry off more, we can stay here, that's okay too--oh, and I'm Melon. Lovely to meet you Yai."

she gave a soft Smile as Melon began to talk about knowing some good spots for berries and fruit's where. flickering her ears at the sound of food.
" Really you will take me there? *A* " he tail wagged as if she were a dog, all excited. her eyes widened, smiling brightly.
" Oh i dont mind going now, if your willing to take me now that is."
She looked out at the tree's and ground all soaked and dripping with raindrops. still spatters of water droplets coming from the cloudy sky with bursts of sun beaming down on the cold wet muddy earth.
slowly she walked out of the shelter "Yes lovely to meet you to Melon. You know it is quiet refreshing. She gave a gentle smile as she looked back at Melon.
"You know this place well then ? "

"Come on, this way then!" He said brightly, looking out under the rock once more to check how heavy the drizzle was before proceeding out and down a muddy path. He glanced over his shoulder a few times, as if to make sure she was really following. He couldn't believe someone was so friendly and willing to spend some time getting to know him. The young stallion was glad to finally be making a proper friend.
"We, my family...grandfather, mother and I anyway, live in the open field on the other side of the treeline." He said, falling back slightly to walk by her side. "So I've explored this place quite a bit lately to get used to where shelter, food...and similar things are just in case."
