New Leaf comes out in America today! But I can't get it for a few months. All well. But I was in the mood for Animal Crossing, so I've made an avi for the release and restarted my Wild World game. They always make you feel guilty for erasing your old town... but I like the process of building up my town rather than maintaining it in peak form. I just made sure to transfer the Metroid ninja

Anybody in the guild getting the 3DS game? If so, I'd like to hear how it plays and what the two new animal personalities are like. I have a fanfic, see, xd and I like to integrate as much as I can. Talk about the other versions is welcome too; I have the Gamecube version too and it's hard for me to choose which I like better.

Ugh, I kinda want it but I don't want to buy a bloody 3DS.

And then there are the new Pokemon games coming up.

Yeah, that's one drawback to it cry I'm not that interested in 3D gaming; it'd probably torment my eyes. But AC and Pokemon are both why I'd get a 3DS eventually.

Besides the 3D, I'm kinda just tired of upgrading. Like the XBox One just looks like garbage to me.

And Nintendo handheld has been even worse. The Game Boy, Color, Advance, SP, Micro, were pretty much the same, but it was a bit more important then because the base computing capabilities were changing so quickly... But then they did the same thing with the DS.

They had a DS, then a little DS, then a big DS, then a DS with a camera, then a bigger big DS, and now a DS with 3D. -_-

I don't want to keep having to uprade every time they decide a new gimmick demands a new kind of game that only works on a new system. gonk

I am, also buying a 3DS. Their cheap used around here at only $135.
I'm excited to play it.

Gotta wait till pay day though.

Nice to hear that the used units are getting reasonable. Every bit of money you can save legally helps, since gaming gets expensive...

I'm still having fun with the DS version, at least. Buying up all the saplings to have more trees, sending lots of shells to neighbors in hopes they dump their furniture in the recycling bin (cause I want them rofl ).

It sure does. A lot of the newer 3DS games coming out seem reasonably priced, so I'm happy.

I don't really like handheld games. Call me crazy. sweatdrop
I never really like the DS one for that reason. And because my brother was always hogging it. I had a house in his town though.
I got really into the Wii one but got crazy with the town hacking, made it a lot less fun.

Every week in my Wii version I would always send a letter to everyone. Because I felt like they really cared. (they do right?)

I played a test one for half an hour and it wasn't that bad (sunlight hurt but that was it)

I dunno if I would the game... I kinda think I would but there are so many other games I want too.

Handheld games are convenient, and a few of them are among my favorites. But they became a lot better when I got the DS so it had lit screens! The GBA was awful visibility sometimes.

I sure they do care about the letters. At least the ones that write back (and send presents!).

I wanted to. I'm not so sure now. Apparently, no one beats Animal Crossing. I saw a Let's Play, which from what I've seen, to be reasonably reliable to the storyline of a game.

I read through all 14 parts the original Animal Crossing for DS and it was actually a children's nightmare. I'm not so sure if Animal Crossing always follows that storyline, so the box is pretty, but could contain a terribly frightening world I'm just not ready for.

I do think Nintendo should start catering to it's prior systems. We could have remakes from another point of view on DS, and it wouldn't effect the storyline. Animal Crossing: Escape from the racoons view, or Pokemon: Team Rocket
I like the 3D rendering, but I have to wonder why they won't take advantage of the market they have or release the system for other indie games. I doubt Microsoft's Ski-Free or Chips Challenge would really take up a ton of space in the DS's memory or battery.

Oh, you must've seen The Terrible Truth of Animal Crossing. That's a really really warped LP of the game xd The game itself? Totally not scary, no real story. It's a cutesy life-sim where the worst that could happen is you get stung by a bee. And yeah, there isn't a real way to 'win' the game. You make your own goals. Although fully paying off your house sure feels like winning!

Some indie games getting on the DS or 3DS would be pretty cool. I know a few I'd like to try, but can't since I can't access or download them (I'm on a family computer most of the time, so I can't just download games just cause I want to).
