Okay, so you just downloaded this hot new, still in beta MMORPG(massively multiplayer online...RPG), right? You launch the app in joyus expectation, only to find...WTF? You need a username and pass, and nothing you put in is working! Never fear, all you need to do is register at http://www.roseon.com/ a pretty simple and straightforward procedure.

1. Click the Regist button
2. Read the next page and click "Register"
3. Read(skim/skip) the agreements and click "Register request".
But what's this? The button doesn't work! Oh, right, I was using Firefox. stressed
Time to load the page in IE.
4. Fill out the standard form(be sure to "check ID", and "check email"). You don't have to lie, they shouldn't sell your information(I think...I mean, you didn't read the privacy statement, now did you?). Submit the form with the button at the bottom.

Yay!
Now, login to the game and pick a channel, but what's this, character creation? I'm pretty sure I don't have to explain that. Once ingame, marvel at your cuteness, get used to panning(either mouse the edge of the screen, or right-click and hold, while moving the mouse) and general movement.
Hit tab and strut your level 1 stuff(tab toggles walk/run).

Next examine the menu, specifically the items(inventory), character(character sheet, are you still with me?), and skills(skills) submenus.

Here's what you see(without the shitty jpeg compression), more or less.
1. Hotbar. Very, very handy. Allows for access to skills, items, and...well, skills and items in a easy to use interface(double click, or tap the associated function key to execute a skill/use an item) with multiple pages(though I'm lazy and use only one). Drag anything to it for easy use. I personally reccomend putting sit and gather in there.
2. Zuly amount. How much money you have. For private trades, you click the Z symbol/button and type the amount you want to add.
3. Carry weight. I'm a Soldier, and am never overweight, but as a dealer/non str oriented class, you will probably have to watch this.
4. Skill points remaining. You use these to upgrade your skills, and make them more powerful. At this point, you only have a few basic skills, and cannot upgrade them.
5. IM window. Once you get riends on your list, you can talk to them via an IM like interface. Unfortunately, you cannot resize them. gonk
6. Open Market. Easy to use, pop in a snazzy title, drag and drop items to sell from your inventory and go! To buy, you click on the buy tab and drag a sample of the item into the window. Then you click on the item and hit the shopping basket buttin in the corner, alowing you to set price and amount. You have to have enough money on hand to cover the cost of what you wish to buy. The buy tab "remembers" items placed there, so you do not have to add them again. To remove items, drag them out. You can only modify(add items for sale, or tweak your buy tab) your shop when it's closed.
You'll notice the status bar in the upper-left. That shows pretty basic info HP(health/hitpoints), MP(magick points/mana), and exp(how close to your next level you are), as well as housing the menu and screenshot buttons and displaying the status of your current weapon, your level, and character name(you can click your name to target yourself for certain skills/healing later). After every level, go to your character sheet and distribute your stat points(and later, skill points) to your primary statistics(though until level 15, you can reset your stat points in Zant, so usually a new character should be close to 100% str, unless you plan to use a toy bow.)
Now that you know about the interface, and are boggled by the possabilities there, you can sit to regain the HP you lost in transit from the character creation screen(the character creation screen is in Junon Polis and the journey is tough for a level 1 visitor) by using your sit skill(found in the skills menu, or in the hotbar, if you were paying attention). Once you have your full HP, time to go kill stuff! Pick a random Jellybean/butterfly/mutant worm-thing(one that's not already under attack) and click on it to viciously assault it with your wooden sword.

After a few whacks, it should succumb to your awesome assault.

OMG, what's that, it dropped something! WTF was a jelly doing with leopard pants anyways? Click on monster drops to pick them up, or use the gather skill from your skill menu/hotbar. Since the leopard pants are better stats-wise than my noobgear, I equipped them:

Oh, and you may notice flashing question marks periodically, you can click them for ingame info. Talk to the fairy a bunch, but don't leave until you've said everything there is to say, and gotten all her quests completed. The loot is excellent(for being level 1-5, getting 30 bananas is very good), and they're easy to accomplish. Once you're ready(level 5-10 is a good time to leave) tell the fairy something along the lines of wanting to go out to a bigger world and she'll teleport you to the adventure plain. Out on the pontoon village, there is an NPC named Ronk that will sell you basic equips, and allow you to sell your drops(mostly in the ect part of your menu) Save Iron thread and Bird feathers, they can be sold for over 1000 zuly a pop in Zant, as they are used to craft fairy wings. One thing to note about the adventure plain is that it houses the gave of goblin, which is a level 40+ dungeon, you may want to explore it, but expect to die. sweatdrop
Head north to the valley of luxem tower when things here are too easy for you anymore.

Ready for some hardcore hunting.
Once you hit level 10, head north, past the valley of luxem, to the city of Zant, a metropolis in the world of ROSE. You can talk to an NPC there and get your job change quest, but I'll cover that in my next installment.

Congratulations, you have hit level 10! Time to give up being a visitor and become either a muse(magic user), Soldier(a**-kicking tank), Hawker(bow or Katar user, oriented around high dodge and attack rate), or Dealer(moneymaker). My Dealer is going to be a launcher/melee type with zero crafting skills and high gather. A loot-getter, at her best, is the plan.
Sooo...head over to Warren, and tell him you'd like your first job, and he'll tell you to talk to another NPC(depending on which class, it's a different NPC), and they'll send you out on a quest to "prove yourself" or somesuch thing.

Anyways, I have to go to Crow, as I plan to be a dealer. So I walk around and look for him in the general area I think he may be at, and eventually locate him by mousing over the NPC symbols on the minimap.

He tells me to go get sheepskin and small metal plates, and to get the sheepskins from from Lampa in "Northern City of Zant", and the metal plates from Sayon, way back in the adventure plain. Seems easy enough, no? Since we're in Zant, we should go to Lampa first. After getting frustrated not being able to find him, I ended up asking someone and being directed -north- of the city to the livestock farm.

Okay, so he gives you the sheepskin after you ask for roan, and then we head to adventure plain(you only thought you were done there)...
In transit, feel free to check out my Royal Crown, the only reason I got my cha to 30. Pretty nice for noobgear, actually.

Tell Sayon you want to buy small metal plate, and that Crow sent you, and head your merry way north again.
Crow then informs you that you need to kill needle honeybees for their stings to check their prices...however that works out.
Anyways, time to head out to kill 15 of the suckers, and the best place to do that is probably to head for the valley of luxem tower and hunt them. They're more or less common, and you should be done in a few minutes.
Head back to Crow to complete the quest, thank him, and head back to Warren to become officially dealerized. Of course, the process varied a bit for other classes, but the premise is the same, do a quest, get a reccomendation, and then become your desired class. Once you have your class, sit down with your skill tree and plan it out, what you want. Bear in mind requirements, such as if you're planning to be a sword-weilding, death-dealing muse, you'll probably have to be a cleric, as almost all of the comabt skills require a magic tool, which a sword eminently is not.
I'm going to go with economic research(jacked to level 4), pack mastry(because it's a prerequisite for gathering), and buying trick(to be my main source of income at higher levels). I'll get gunshot/combat mastry after I hit 30, because then I'll use a launcher in conjunction with my sword.
Ack, I cannot afford buy trick!
All is not lost, of course, I have a couple of equiptment drops to sell, including a Hunter hat with stats(needing appraisal):

To have it appraised, I'll take it to the jewel seller and ask them to appraise it for me, as simle as that. This results in me knowing what the stats are so I can price it accordingly.

Wow, not bad, if I was a Hawker, I'd want a hat like that.
I'm not, so I'll put it in my shop and leave it alone for awhile...

Oh, and please, please, don't killsteal, or KS. A killsteal is when you walk up to something someone else is attacking and unasked, dispatch it for them. This is bad form because they took the damage for it, and you came along and took some exp from them, basically stealing it for their effort. Everyone gets exp, yes, and they only get fractionally less, but it's still quite rude. Most people consider it "okay" to KS bosses, as they give plenty of exp and loot(loot generally goes to whoever got the first whack at it) for all, but thoughts vary from person to person on that.
One more thing...

Watch the road, and never drink and drive.
