Landing softly on the ground Sacarius brought a hand up to his chin and looked up at the ruins ahead of him, Yep, still how I remember it, seems like nobody has come by here in quite some time, guess nobody cared to investigate he thought to himself before shrugging lightly and walking up the steps towards the ruins. The stone ruins and arches were covered in moss and had vines hanging over their edges, a burned out lantern stood neglected for centuries, the ruins were deep in the heart of the forest so it would explain why very few people had seen it or even known about its existence. Sacarius continued on his way up the steps before stopping just underneath one of the arches, brushing the palm of his hand against the side of it, underneath the dust, and moss were words of a long dead language, oddly enough Sacarius seemed to have known what it said "Kyahaha! Oh that one gets me everytime!" he exclaimed laughing at the writings on the wall.

Just as Sacarius reached the top of the steps and approached the large broken doors of the ruins he stopped, spinning around and extending his arms outwards like a ringmaster at a circus "Ladies and Gentlemen! I present to you, the ruins of the priests of the Jade Flame, last known location of the Rerumusureiyā!" he announced loudly, before giving a light chuckle and then leaning up against a nearby column "Alright, time to end the sneaky act, I know you're there, I led you here for a reason y'know" he said, his tone shifting from smarmy and joking to more serious, which was completely uncharacteristic of him.

"Rerumusureiyā?"

Stated the voice inquisitively as the brown steel toed boot stepped from behind a mossy statue. The boot led up the dark navy denim pant legs to the brown jacket wearing boy. His left hand was shoved deep into his jacket pocket, the white faux fur on the back of his neck. His right right hand was against his right shoulder a drawstring wrapped around a closed fist while a duffle bag hung over his shoulder down to the right side of his back. His white hair shuffled in the breeze as he stepped out, his red eyes making contact with the man in front of him.

"Don't confuse my intention, I meant not to follow you. I was simply investigating the rumors of this place. You seem to know how to read these ancient text..."

He stated, his voice trailed off as he removed his left hand from his pocket and ran his fingers softly over the carved in text. He seemed to linger on the wording as his red eyes seemed to glower even if only for a moment. He was oddly calm being in such a place. There were certain things that he was looking for in this place before arriving at his destination of the school that he had been mysteriously invited to. This place just seemed to be along the way.

"Tell me...What do you know of the purification rituals performed by the priests of the Jade Flame?"

Yang asked this with a genuine questioning sense in his voice. He was uncertain as to the answers. Since the sealing of the two he had no contact with him so he could only draw from their vast knowledge in unwilling flashes that were given to him at random occurrences, and it was never anything to assist him in his goal. He remained somewhat cryptic, but then again he did not know this person, and this person had detected him. To the point of believing him to be following him.

The hell...!? Sacarius wondered as the man appeared from behind the mossy statue, as he had not expected him to be here. He had meant to draw the attention of one of the other duelists but this was... rather surprising, he did in fact detect his powerful spiritual energy on the way here but he had figured it to be one of the others. It was a nice surprise though to get caught off guard once in a while, it sort of acts like a reminder that you can't expect everything. Sacarius brought a hand up to his tie and adjusted it as the man noted Sacarius' ability to read the text, "Ah... well y'see, the Rerumusureiyā was supposedly an ancient super weapon said to have once been able to plunge the world into darkness" he explained, waving a dismissive hand like he didn't believe in the existence of the Rerumusureiyā.

Sacarius had to admit, he was genuinely shocked by the appearance of this man, and the fact that he was able to find these ruins showed a bit of promise in the young man, "I can read the text because well... to tell the truth, I knew a few descendents of the priests here. A bit of knowledge gets passed on, I pried a bit, got some of it myself and now I know how to read the scripture. Although there are a few things even I don't fully understand, like for instance, this part here: "...and plague will ravage the land" can also be translated to "...and disease will consume the world" it might not seem like a big difference but the use of the word plague isn't referring to a plague of disease, but rather a single person" his general tone made him come off as knowledgeable and well-versed in this lore, however his body language made him appear as though he was laid back and uncaring.

His slit-like eyes scanned the area momentarily as if he was expecting someone else to show up, before he flashed a serpentine smile "Interested in the Jade Flame eh?" he remarked beginning to pace back and forth, his shoes making a loud clicking sound with every step that filled the air, "Purification rituals are sort of a odd topic, too many variations have been passed on with different results. It would also depend on what one if seeking to purify" he answered, he did know a bit about the purification of items that had been cursed but he felt it might be best to figure out the reason for the man's intrusion first. Stopping dead in his tracks Sacarius chuckled and hit himself in the forehead with the palm of his hand, "Oh my, where are my manners? I am Sacarius Kel, Duelist of the Green Rose and Caretaker of Sno-... err... forget the latter, theres been a few issues dealing with that one" he introduced himself with a bow and removing his hat before returning to his usual lazy stance.

OoC: Its alright, it an open invitation sort of thing, thats why no exact names are mentioned in the previous post. Also side note here, the text is only smaller to look nice with the .gif file, regular size makes it the alignment look odd.

EDIT: Yay, it screw up either way.

"Plunge the world into darkness...Is that why she brought me here?"

His voice repeated silently as his fingertips retracted from the wall before falling down to his side. The man seemed like it wasn't Yang who he was expecting at all. Rather Yang had just done such a poor job at hiding that he believed he was caught and revealed himself when unnecessary. However it did not seem to be a bad thing as the man began to explain more of the mysteries of this temple.

He mentioned plague referencing that it could be a person, Yang couldn't help but react with a slight glance away, in his mind he thought, ...'Or Deity'... remembering the stories of all the prided weapons of the spirit realm being hidden across the globe, if anyone would know of them it would be her, and if she could gather enough energy to either break the seal of attempt to posses his body then the world would be in grave danger. The most obvious way she would do so would be to gather together these tools. In that case, it may well have been he who guided Yang to this place. If the facts were true for her they would be true for him as well. Looking back to the man as he asked Yang a question he responded, he could only say so much, revealing himself was a dangerous thing.

"I am only interested in their techniques and the strength of them. If the results attained by those of the Jade Flame were not consistent then I doubt they'd be right for my cause..."

He turned and began to walk away, this place seemed as if only another dead end on his journey, whichever had brought him here he had no desire for their tools, a thought just then crossed his mind, what if the reason he had been brought here wasn't a what at all, what if it was a who. At that moment the man introduced himself as a Duelist, that of the Green Rose, causing Yang to stop mid step and turn his the side of his face now towards the male.

"Yang Kaido, I am in search of the Duelist Rose Academy, I am to be a student there."

As he turned, his stern words matching his expression, he bowed to the man traditionally, holding his left had at his side, his right held to the bag with all of his worldly possessions held within.

"It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance,"

He stated out of habit, it was obvious that this was a trained thing for him. Back as a child etiquette was just as important as his battle training being that he was to be groomed to be a leader.

Sacarius nodded as the man explained that the purification process might not work on him, "I see, I would say more but I'm afraid my knowledge on the rituals is rather limited, I have yet to test them myself" he replied, shrugging lightly and slipping his hands into his pockets, he began to wonder exactly what the man needed purified, as coming here of all places to attempt a purification process could be seen as a rather desperate act. Sacarius took a few steps down the stairs before sitting down on them, lifting his hat off his head and twirling it around on his index finger of his left hand, "Hmm... I would take you to the school myself but I'm afraid I have business here, but I believe it won't last long" he answered with a sly smile on his face, "If you want you could wait here until my work is done and then I can bring you to the academy myself, otherwise you'll have to walk through the forest until you reach the main dirt path and from there you'll want to take a follow until you hit the fork in the road and then take a left" he explained giving Yang two options, either to wait for Sacarius to finish his task or to take the directions he gave him and leave as soon as possible.

Raising an eyebrow Sacarius studied the way Yang bowed, it was almost too old-fashioned, making him wonder if the appearance of the young man was nothing more than a ruse, "Like wise, it really is uncommon to see anyone with manners anymore in this day and age" he answered, chuckling lightly at just how old-fashioned he was now sounding. He stopped twirling his hat around on his finger when he realized something, he had lost the spiritual energy he sensed earlier, meaning that either the one he had expected to show up had gone out of Sacarius' range or had hid their presence to attempt a sneak attack or to continue listening in without being spotted. The thought buried itself into his skull, although his face showed the same smug look he always had, I should probably move quickly now, don't know how much time I have left before this guise is useless to me he thought to himself as he returned to his feet and placed his hat back on his head, tilting it forward to obscure his eyes once again.

"Old Habits...I suppose"

stated Yang rather cryptically as he mad his way up the stairs he ventured past where the man was sitting to the top of the temple, no matter how far away he had gotten from the life, a temple was still a temple, a holy place of worship...for something or other.

He reached the top and set his bag down, he didn't say it but by the actions, it seemed he would wait, the other male seemed to be waiting for something, something that Yang could not grasp just yet. Facing away from the man Yang placed his hands together and closed his eyes praying over the place as a normal priest should...though how far from a priest he really was could be described as the distance from the moon to the sun. His thought couldn't help but wander to what the man was waiting for, an ally, an enemy, he stated that he lured someone there was a battle to ensue. Would he have to use that power?

"What is it that you are attending to if you don't mind my asking..."

As Yang made his way up the stairs silently Sacarius couldn't help but wonder if he was missing something about the man, there was something nagging away at him that he just couldn't put his finger on. Looking over his shoulders he watched as Yang began to pray to the temple, "Heh, no point in praying to this temple. All of its spiritual power has been sucked dry, like a soulless corpse" he remarked, sounding rather uncaring almost as if he had a grudge against the temple. Which wasn't too far from the truth, however Sacarius wouldn't speak much about why he cared so little for the temple or what had caused him to think like that. Crossing his arms over his chest he turned away from Yang, staring once more into the forest ahead of him, tapping his foot impatiently against the ground the loud clicking in his shoe once again ringing out in the empty air, Must've got caught in traffic or something he mentally joked as he continued to watch over the area.

His train of thought was cut short when Yang asked what he had been waiting for, spinning on his heels Sacarius faced him bringing a single hand up with just the index finger extended "Now that would be telling, let's just say that I was hoping to find someone who could sense my spiritual power, in other words, someone who can track me if I'm not careful. There was one I had in mind, but they seem to be... pre-occupied, by what is driving me wild but I s'pose I can wait" he responded, giving a somewhat helpful answer but one that still didn't give away everything he was working up to. Yang would probably have noticed by now that Sacarius was a big talker, loving to hear himself speak since he always seemed to have an answer for everything.

"One does not pray to the temple to absorb its spiritual energy, but to feed one's own energy into the environment to promote the positivity you wish to see in life."

He finished opening his blood red eyes and releasing his hands, it was obvious that this place was used for prayers in the past, but there was also evidence of ritualistic behavior, possibly a temple that fell from the favor, who were they praying to here? What did this man know? He seemed begrudged by the place and yet still came here, maybe some sense of familiarity.

He was a man that loved his own voice, this was very true. Yang found himself somewhere between his words and his message, more than likely this was intentional. The male did this to prevent his true intentions from being discovered. At least that's what Yang knew of fast talkers. He had encountered his share of that type after leaving the mountain, most all were just swindlers, but this man also had an aura about him.

"Then...this place..is meant to be a trap for your enemy?"

Sacarius tilted his head forward and wrapped his right arm around his stomach with the left elbow resting on that and his left hand holding his hat to keep it from falling "Ehehehe, you misunderstand, the spiritual energy was not for absorbing, it was the essence of the Jade Flame's god, if you prayed to the essence the god would hear it, but due to the lack of divinity the god faded away and the remaining essence dissipated over time" he explained, chuckling as the man was unfamiliar with this topic, the Jade Flame weren't a very well known group, especially since they were a religion made over centuries ago. He returned to his usual stance and walked over to Yang, crouching down besides him, "Praying to a temple to feed your own faith is not a bad thing though, personally I believe in quite a few deities, hell, I've had to deal with a few of them" he stated, flashing his usual smile.

Sacarius tilted his head to the side when Yang accused him of trying to trap an enemy, "Nope." he put it bluntly, returning to his feet and walking over to a nearby column to lean on it, "You think of me as some sort of coward? Setting up traps and sneaking about in the background? You wound me sir. No, the reason I am here is to actually speak with them, one who could track me makes a better ally than an enemy, yknow? Killing them serves little purpose and pissing them off is only going to wind up biting me in the a** later down the line" he explained crossing his arms over his chest and staring out to the forest, wondering if his supposed follower had heard any of that, he hoped not, it would ruin the dramatic flare of things. Although then again, Sacarius hated having to repeat himself it just made things annoying, so he supposed that it was a good thing if they had.

"Lack of...Divinity?"

Yang repeated. In the terms that the man explained he could only think it to mean that a false idol was being worshiped. After all according to the temple that he hailed from the true flame god had been killed and all others would serve under the sun god. Any flame of any color. So what had happened here...there might yet be something he could actually take from this place, something that he could use to further himself. He was taught that flames represented different things dictated through their color.

"Kel..."

He stated looking to him, referring to him by his last name more formally but not quite with the full formal sense. In this regard it seemed more to just be a lack of experience dealing with people. Yang tended to avoid all others when he could, he never wanted to get too close or have too much revealed, but if this place could help him, then he needed more information.

"What was the purpose of this Deity..This Jade Flame? What did they represent?"

The way that Yang seemed to repeat everything Sacarius said made him wonder if the man was half parrot, but without skipping a beat Sacarius flashed a toothy grin "Yep. Y'see, something must've happened to prevent the priests from praying and therefore feeding the god's divinity, as to what that thing is I can't say. As I said before, my knowledge only goes so far, reading the text and a few rituals is the best I can do for you" he answered, explaining the circle of prayer equaling divinity equaling a stronger god and finally meaning better prayers to be answered.

When Yang called to him using his last name he tilted his head to the side, he seemed very questioning but never asking anything that wasn't outside of Sacarius' knowledge. This new question however he could only be answered properly by a priest here and those were long dead, "Uhh... Hmm... Well, from what I've gathered it would seem that the deities purpose was, like any other deity, to become stronger through its followers and from there it depends on how it uses its power. This god seemed to have a thing for cleansing, although not the regular kind, cleansing by fire seems to be written on a few walls somewhere here, I may need to read it again in case there are any words that could be easily mistranslated." he explained, gesturing towards the temple itself which had carvings all along its walls, some were just basic drawings of the priests bowing before what appeared to be a large creature with a lizard-like head with one eye emerging from the center of its face, demonic looking wings and legs like a horse yet it appeared to not be covered by fur but rather scales.

Sacarius pushed himself off the column he was leaning on and approached the temple's walls, placing one hand along the wall to brush away any moss or dust and the other holding up his chin. His slit-like eyes seemed to scan the markings, mumbling a few words under his breath as he began to translate a few parts, "Dramorrogoth, the Jade Flame himself, uhh... this part is alittle hard to translate but I got the words "purification of the land, crawled out of the shadows, a Plague to rival the Flame, ascended to demi-god... hmmm... that last one seems out of place, if Dramorrogoth was a god he wouldn't have ascended to a lower rank." he stated reading off a few bits and pieces of text, it seemed as though he had little trouble reading the carving but was skimming through it for certain parts of interest.

He was near certain he now knew something of what this Jade Flame was about. He couldn't be sure, as he had learned to never deal in absolute certainties for this world possessed none. However the missing words could be pieced together into a whole meaning. There was indeed something here sealed within the Jade flame. Perhaps the weapon Sacarius had first mentioned. The priest were praying to some entity that granted them mercy in exchange for their rituals. The image gave off the appearance of a malevolent creature. The cleansing referrenced was most likely purging of enemies. As long as they prayed the deity delivered punishment and mercy. That wasn't the kind of cleansing Yang desired. However the creature itself intrigued him.

"An Asura perhaps?"

Yang mused in thought as he looked over the ruins. If it were a heavenly flame being worshipped then quite possibly Yang could rouse it from its slumber using his own. However it was not the time or place to reveal his power. Especially in front of someone he did not know. However how had this creature gone about its purge, what was it? and somewhere in this place was it still alive? His left eye twitched slightly. Then there was this plague, the text stated it rivaled the flame and rather that this creature, some entity had ascended using the power. Was the power still with that entity? Or had he indeed found a way to cleanse himself of it.

Sacarius noticed Yang's silence as he began to think about what used to be worshiped here, whatever you wanted to call that abomination no longer mattered as it has been dead for centuries now, and the essence of its energy drained from the temple by some unknown source. Yang had so far refused to reveal why he needed a strong purification ritual but there were other ways of figuring out, "Saaaay, you wouldn't happen to want spar, would you?" he asked, flashing a confident smile. If Yang could sense Sacarius' power it would only show that Sacarius was of average strength, which might make one question how he got the title of Duelist of the Green Rose.

Sacarius intended to try and push Yang's abilities so he would be forced to show his real strength, the end result would allow Sacarius to judge just how strong the white haired man really was. Sacarius didn't appear as much of a threat and his clothing seemed too formal to allow for quick movements, if anything it seemed like an easy win for Yang.

His slit-like eyes scanned Yang, taking in his hopeful opponent's equipment, or lack thereof, "So, whattya say? Up for a friendly little skirmish to pass the time?" he asked again, lifting one hand up to his head and placing it onto his hat. The shadow of his brim obscured the view of his eyes now and he seemed to give off a slight chuckle, "I'll understand if you'd rather not, just need to do something to keep me pre-occupied, y'know?" he added, the same smile that he always had plastered over his lips.

Yang heard the man's strange request, from the topic that they were speaking on to this suddenly? How had the man managed to bridge one to the other...unless...he had something more to do with this Deity than he first revealed. However, if indeed he knew something about it then Yang needed to know more. However, this man could possibly just be wishing to pass the time. He was a bit eccentric from what Yang had discovered thusfar. Even so, as a priest Yang should not use his martial arts from some sparring match. Then again he wasn't actually a priest and to some level the man intrigued him.

"That sounds most interesting."

He stepped onto equal turf with the male facing him before sliding his right foot back behind his left bringing his arms up, his right hand clenched into a fist to his chest, his left forward in front of his body and held upright yet loose. It was a physical combat stance. Yang was fairly sure if this man had the rank he described then he was as he had heard of this school. They were people of supernatural origins. However Yang began this as if it were some ordinary martial arts match to pass the time as the man had described in order to gauge the reaction.
