..or will be shortly, if I don't start writing again soon.

Yes, fellow guildies, I am currently experiencing the very common but very lethal bout of writer's block. It's terrible. It's lasted for well over a month now and I feel miserable. I'd thought I could get some inspiration while I was on vacation last week, but I was wrong. I'm still stuck on the 38th chapter of my ongoing novel and I'm seriously considering rewriting it -again - or risk going down a mediocre path.

Anyway, I digress. I haven't looked through much of the guild posts, so if anyone can share their own writer's block experiences and ways to get over this self-imposed 'hangover' would be great! biggrin

P.S Does anyone play Skyrim here? biggrin

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing writer's block. Have you thought of starting a fresh, new project to get the gears going again? And yes, I play Skyrim ^_^

Hello, captain, how have you been? smile

And yes, I have a side project going on too - though that's also currently on hold. However, I did manage to get a few paragraphs going for both works, so it looks like I'll be breaking free of this mental block in no time. Fingers crossed! biggrin

I've recently started playing Skyrim, and so far I'm loving the game. 3nodding

I'm doing good, and yourself?

That's great to hear! Writer's block is a sucky thing to be stuck in and the only way to get over it is usually by working through it.

And it's an awesome game. I started playing it 2 years ago and am always making new characters and doing new things ^_^ What sort of character are you playing?

I am well, thank you. ^_^ Are you working on any projects at the moment?

I'm playing a Nord and I prefer using two-handed weapons (though bows, magic and Shouts come in great handy too). That's just what I love about the game - there are no specific classes so you can pretty much experiment with lots of things. smile

Yes, I'm working on quite a few. I have one story strictly for posting online (wattpad) that I've been working on while trying to juggle a serious project of mine that I plan on sending off once it's finished. And then I have my camp nanowrimo idea rolling through my head. ^_^ Are you going to participate in camp nanowrimo?

I'm playing a red guard. They're good warriors but I just love being a troublemaker with my sneak and bow. I'm trying to build up my pickpocketing skill though even though I don't plan on joining the thieves guild right away this time around.

Ah, you're on Wattpad too? Excuse my ignorance if you've mentioned it somewhere in the guild before, I might have missed it. What's your username? smile

As for Camp Nanowrimo, I'm still considering. I may or may not join this time around, if I've any plans to work on another project again.

Yes, archery is just awesome in Skyrim. I still have some problems with lockpicking though. xD

I may have, I can't remember lol. My user is AveryKatalina on wattpad.

And haha, I'm a master lockpicker. I never put points in the tree though. I'm good enough to pick master/expert locks without the extra help.

Well, I just scouted out your Wattpad and I have to say I am seriously impressed! smile I think I'll have to work hard before I can ever reach your level of writing!

On a side note, do you have other hobbies (or interests) besides writing?

Ahaha thanks. Feel free to comment on the story if you like ^_- or message me there anytime.

And of course I do. I paint and I game. I'm also an avid reader and movie going. I'm a big fan of cooking too. How about you?

Ah, we have pretty much the same interests - minus the cooking part, naturally. I can't cook to save my life. xD

If I'm bored or feeling inspired out of the blue, I'll draw something. I do have roughs for a graphic novel going on, but that's been pushed aside ever since I took up writing again this year. Are you a anime / manga fan too, by any chance? ^_^

Of course. I'm assuming you are too? What animes and mangas interest you?

I tend to be picky when it comes to manga. If I like the art, I'll read it. The same goes for anime. As for genre, I pretty much follow mainstream stuff like Fairy Tail, Bleach and Fullmetal Alchemist. I also love it if they're historically-based, like maybe in the Victorian era or in Japan's Edo Period. I'm such a sucker for history. ^_^ How about you?

I like bleach, full metal alchemist, Inuyasha, Gundam Seed, The Wallflower, Fruits basket, Special A, Maid- Sama, Ghost Hunt, Zombie-Loan, Ouran High School Host club.... Those are only a few that I can think of right now. I just woke up, haha

Just a quick update: I'm proud to report that I'm back writing again! Feels so good to finally be able to fill up a page - several of them - with words. Guess all I needed to do was stop feeling sorry for myself and actually sit down and write. xD
