Her father was a preacher and her mother a stay at home mom. She was the middle child of her five sister, always leaving two above and two below her. All five children were required to go to their father's church every Sunday and Wednesday and were expected at almost every big church event. Over all, Tara and her sisters were well cared for. After all, they had a loving family, they went to a great school, and they had a supportive church community. What else could she and her sisters ask for? As a child, Tara accepted everything she was taught, consumed in the religion she was taught. She was happy and life was going well for her.
xoxo As a preteen she continued on quite similarly, though all her siblings didn't quite seem to agree. Her oldest sister was tired of being so restricted and longed to make her own choices and do the things teenagers were supposed to do. Unfortunately, like many children from similar families, her sister began to rebell, causing problems for the family. Tara wasn't exactly sure what her sister went out doing, but the pre-teen did not approve of the older girl's behavior. She began staying out much too late, and wearing different clothes. She had even begun to start wearing make up! These weren't things her older sister needed, she was great just the way she was! As much as she was disappointed in the sibling she looked up to, she knew there was nothing she could do. Her other older sibling figured it would be best to just ignore her, leaving it to the two of them to provide a good example for the rest of their siblings. It was also around this time that Tara realized she wasn't just attracted to males, but females too. However, she pushed the thoughts away. Those feelings weren't right or natural, she had heard both of her parents talk about it before. There was no way she could tell them, especially not now with her sister acting how she was. Instead, she prayed about it, hoping she could rid herself of this attraction.
xoxo Time continued on got Tara, and she kept her sexuality a secret from the world. Her older sister had graduated and Tara got used to the new her. Her parents remained disappointed in her oldest sister, but in high school Tara began growing close to her again. It was also around this time that she started opening her eyes up to the outside world. There was so much going on, she realized that what she had been taught didn't always apply. She reevaluated her beliefs, coming to learn that she didn't necessarily agree with them all. Suddenly she began to understand things a bit more, including her sister. Had she come to a similar realization? Like her sister, Tara began making changes to her life as well. She didn't rebel quite like her sister, no she would follow her parents rules as long as she was under their roof. She did begin to dress differently though, clothes were supposed to be fun and a reflection of you! She learned that makeup was fun too! Since she still obeyed her parents they didn't make too much of a fuss out of it. It wasn't like this was the first time something like this had happened. She continued to go to church with her family, though she didn't quite share the beliefs anymore. She decided it best not to tell them though and comply with their wishes. It was also around this time Tara began to recognize her sexuality a bit more. She had previously believed she was bisexual but later learned that the term pansexual fit her much better. She was comfortable with herself now, and while she'd share her thoughts and previous secrets with friends; her parents were left in the dark.
xoxo Upon graduating Tara announced that she would not be attending college. As expected her parents were disappointed, their daughter had been accepted to a nearby University and here she was turning it down. As much as Tara tried to explain that she wanted to make her own choices they never quite understood. About a year later, Tara finally made the choice to get away from her restrictive family. Her parents didn't like it, but they had no choice, and reluctantly let their daughter go. Tara packed her bags and with her took her best friend Paige, a girl she had met at her father's church. Paige didn't go especially often but she lived close by and went to the same school. Tara's parents liked Paige well enough, and it eased them a little knowing their daughter wouldn't be alone. The two prepared their things for Nirvani and off they went, waiting to start their new lives.

The thing with dancers is, they tend to marry and have children with other dancers, resulting in their very own dancer children. As one could guess, this was exactly the case with Paige's mother and father. In their younger days the two would often dance competitions together and travel to various dance exchanges, both of which were great fun. Of course, when their daughter was born they had to settle down. The two opened up their own dance studio, giving lessons to those in their town. They still went to nearby competitions and would occasionally travel to others. Being so consumed in the world of dance it made sense that they'd get their daughter into it as well. Since they owned the studio they didn't have to pay for lessons and they could teach her at home as well. Luckily for her parents, their young daughter loved it, and didn't fight their lessons. Then again, dancing was so normal at her house, so what was their really to fight?
xoxoAs she grew up she continued with her parents dance lessons. It was a lot of work and she didn't have much time for anything other than practice and school but she was content. Due to her short height, she had to put in extra work to be recognized. Finding a good partner could be problematic when one was the taller or shorter size. Still, her practice managed to pay off and she managed to get recognized by dance companies and matched with appropriate partners. Unfortunately, she didn't have much time for things other than dancing and school. Occasionally, she'd go to church with her parents, where she quickly became good friends with one of the preacher's daughter's who also happened to go to her school. Still, she didn't have much time to socialize and when she did go out it was usually to go dancing. She didn't mind too much though, dancing was her dream and dreams required hard work! That's where she differed from her friend. While Tara liked to go out, question things, and get involved in relationships, Paige preferred to stay focused on the world of dance, not worrying much about the other things. Going out could be fun, but it wouldn't get her anywhere, and relationships just seemed like a waste of time to the girl. Despite their differences though, their friendship remained strong. When her friend had announced that she was moving, Paige immediately decided to go with her. Sure, she had dance things to do, but they usually required travel anyway.
