Name: Neil Cornwallet

Age: 22

Gender: Male

Height: 5 ft. 8 in”

Weight: 123 lbs

Sexuality: Heterosexual, yet doesn't often date as he usually spends his time with many different people or on his personal studies.

Faction: Police Force

Occupation: Neil is a rookie officer in the Police Force of the City, although his hard work on the job, intelligence a cut above the rest, and unfaltering motivation do not go unnoticed. Neil is constantly pressured by his fellow officers to ask for a rank promotion as they are almost certain he could obtain one with ease, but Neil has made his decision. He is simply not worthy of placing himself higher than the others. Additionally, he is afraid he might not have all the time necessary to assist the citizens of the City and work on his psychological studies.

Physical Appearance: Beginning with the upper body, Neil has a very pleasant look to his face. Thin eyebrows compliment the clear skin that almost seems to reflect sunlight as if he were the moon on a clear night. He has long, dirty blonde hair that is merged into a ponytail toward the back. Beautiful blue eyes act as black holes that pull his onlookers in. However, this body isn't quite what it’s cracked up to be. Neil’s weight is far below the recommended average for a male his size, and this can often affect his physical performance. Most people do not realize this though as Neil does an excellent job of concealing this problem under his uniform. Or, if he is not currently on the job, he may choose to wear layers of clothing as a substitute. Neil has access to fine and expensive materials, but he prefers to put on clothes that are more affordable by the common citizen.

Personality: Almost everyone that has ever met Neil will admit they were surprised by his devotion and hard work toward bettering the lives of others. Neil is a calm, orderly, and inspirationally kind man. He’s quite lighthearted in public earning him the positive attitude of many residents within the City. But Neil does not simply do good for the love of life; he is searching for redemption, a way to renew himself and escape from the past that claws at his dreary mind. He is constantly asking himself how many people it will take to liberate his mind of the guilt it drowns in. Neil wonders if an answer is even possible or if the good deeds shall help him feel better at all, but any route of freedom is worth a shot.

Flaws: Starting with his physical weakness, Neil is quite frail do to his malnourishment. He wouldn't last long in a fight even if he was allowed to deal the first blow. It’s astonishing that Neil hasn't collapsed on his patrol or simply scouting around town by now. His two main mental weaknesses are his guilt and paranoia. It is completely possible for Neil to turn away opportunities for himself, ways to relax and have fun, or even stop participating in things he loves to do if he feels he doesn't deserve the amount of happiness it brings him. The second, paranoia, is the cause of many severed relationships. Neil is terrified of becoming too attached to one person for fear that they might discover why it took Adam Cornwallet so long to receive help after being injured. He has no family that care for him, and refuses to forge a bond between anyone that has the chance of becoming a real friend.

Back Story: Neil was surrounded by wealth and the wealthy since the moment he was born into the world. His father, Adam Cornwallet, had spent years working up the pre-determined ladders of society and earning his friendships with the more influential alchemists housed inside of the City so that one day he would be able to give his son and wife anything they desired. The situation was great during the early years of his father’s marriage. The wife would point out an object; Adam would buy it. The wife would ask for a personal maid; Adam would order one for service. But no matter how many sparkling objects or unfamiliar dashing faces she enclosed herself in, the wife failed to find happiness. Eventually, she made the choice to take her own life. Adam stood over her lifeless body, questioning how someone who possesses so much could decide on such a morbid option. He spared himself the trouble of thinking and labeled her with numerous disorders. He told his friends and family his theory that perhaps these conditions drove her to the point of insanity. This was when Neil was at the age of one. Time lurched on, minute by minute, hour by hour, and each morning the sun blazed across the sky bringing the people a new day. But for Neil, this also meant a freshly purchased toy sitting adjacent to his bed. He had little trains, music boxes, pets, money (both real and fake), books, artistic utensils, and the latest technology to keep him occupied. Neil began to pile the toys he grew weary of in the corner of his room.

By age four, he reasoned that it would be much more fun if he could convince his father to participate in the activities and games that Neil was accustomed to playing by himself. So one night he entered his father’s office, riddled with food, to request a “playdate” between the two of them. (After his wife’s passing, Adam developed an eating disorder to cope with the stress of losing her and now operating on his own) Of course, Adam being the constantly busy man that he is declined the offer and told his son to ask again tomorrow. But tomorrow never came. Neil asked around the same time frame each day, and each day Adam wasn't able to spare his concentration. Finally after 2 straight months, Neil became fed up with the excuses. Instead of complying as per usual, the child began crying and shouting at his so called “father” that he had no true compassion for his son. Neil dashed outside the office planning to release the rest of his tears in the privacy of his room downstairs. Adam, now terribly overweight and out-of-shape, put forth a desperate attempt to chase after his only child and comfort him. But the copious amounts of food he consumed had taken their predictable toll. Adam lost his footing while descending the seemingly endless flight of stairs that led to the bottom floor, severely injuring his respiratory system. Struggling to breathe, Adam gazed upon the small figure that stood before him. Neil stared down at his father with teary eyes. And the same way you would leave a dropped pencil that wasn't worth the effort of bending over and picking up, Neil left his father to die. Even though alerting someone for help may of saved Adam’s life, Neil was still outraged regarding his dad’s refusal to give up his time. He ran back to the four walls that he knew so well and waited. Adam realized in his dying moments the mistakes he made concerning his family. He was unable to recall his anniversary or the birth date of his son. He had few memories of either one. As his body shut down due to lack of successful inhalation, Adam accepted his failure in the relationships he had during his life.

The next morning Adam was pronounced dead. The mansion was soon overrun with officials, and the small child began to understand the full consequence of what he had done. A body was now cold and empty because of his frustration. Neil was given the choice of staying in his current home with the maids or moving out to go stay with his aunt and uncle by an agent that day. After a mere 3 seconds of contemplating, he decided to just keep living where he was. He had never spoken to the rest of his family before anyhow. Neil started attending Alchemist schooling soon after and made plenty of friends. His dream to interact with others was being fulfilled at last. But as he grew up, the memory of what he did to his father became a common scene in his sleep. In fact, it began to invade his entire lifestyle. Eating reminded him of his father’s obesity; therefore Neil became reluctant to consume foods regularly and settled for smaller portions than normal causing his weight to drop to an unhealthy level. Neil removed a high percentage of the possessions his father owned in the mansion, either giving them away to his friends or selling them around the City. Guilt began to take over his mind. He started to hate himself. And then Neil had an idea. He wondered if he put enough work into assisting others, perhaps that will ease his surface memory. Maybe it is his conscience that seeps with regret. At this point, what did he have to lose? No true friends due to his paranoia of someone discovering his cruelty, and no family left either. So Neil took it upon himself to join the Police Force. He saw no greater way to pay for his crimes. He concluded he would stroll through the streets as well, asking citizens for small tasks or favors that he could perform for them. They say almost anything can be accomplished with enough effort… and Neil’s strive to forget shall test said theory.

Talents and Skills: Neil has a rather intellectual mind, although he doesn't show it off publicly. He usually is only motivated to use it when trying to learn or accomplish something that pertains to his interests anyway. He has a rather gentle face and great management of his emotions while speaking to others, but only when he is NOT under pressure and feels he has the situation under control.

Research: N/A

Hobbies: If Neil is not roaming around town searching for random citizens in a time of need, he can most likely be found in his study room or the library desperately scouring through mountains of books to further his knowledge on the subject of psychology in order to find a way to erase his own past choices.

Likes: Psychology (especially aspects that deal with memory such as amnesia, being able to repress said memory), searching for redemption by helping others, meals that can be prepared in short order, having plenty of time to organize his activities, when a conversation is easy to predict where it might lead

Dislikes: Any object, individual, or idea that reminds him of his father, taking the time to eat healthy and properly, people that complain often about unimportant events, murder mysteries, gossipers
