Craaaaaaash! BOOOOOOOOOOOooooom! There was a sigh from Noble as his fingers curled over the straps of his new backpack at the sound of the summer storm starting up and he picked up his pace to try and find somewhere to settle before the rain started in. His bag was a newly acquired thing, he'd helped a man out a week or so back and in return he'd been given the bag, a few clothes and even some food all of which he was thankful for. This whole growing thing had left him in ill fitting clothes and a need for new ones. So of course he didn't want his bag soaked, or his things inside..he appreciated dry clothes and food! The wind started to pick up, blowing his dreads around and into his face irritating him a little and causing him to fish the...what was it the girl who had sold it to him called it? Hair...thing...scooty? Sc...something. Either way the thing was used to secure his hair back out of his face which helped and made it so he could see. CrAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAassssshhhhhh! BOOOOOOOOOOOooooom!
The thunder was louder...closer. Noble glanced up and saw the lightning dancing through the almost black clouds and he looked around with a frown. There really wasn't anywhere safe was there?
Plop....drip...whoooooosh!
The rain started off with large plopping drops though within seconds it felt like an absolute downpour soaking Noble thoroughly, his clothes sticking to his skin as he bent his head a little against the water to keep it from blinding him as it blew into his face. His hair hung in heavy sodden cords as he started to run, looking if nothing else for some trees. Ah there...it looked like a town coming up....maybe he could find somewhere there to take refuge till the storm passed over head and it was safe to be out and about again.
CRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK! Thunder rolled, and there was a sizzling sound that his ears detected, the smell of ozone...and suddenly he was blinded and jumping backwards out of instinct as lightning came down almost where he'd been standing! His jump was awkward, and the ground slippery and it sent the teen sprawling, laying there on the muddy ground looking sort of dazed. Laying there staring up at the sky blinded by the water pouring into his eyes, the occasional glittering of lightning up in the clouds filtering through. Finally he roused himself...and really it was only a few seconds but felt much longer!...and he blinked his eyes a few times and moved to sit up. A groan came from the Keldeo as he sat up, head aching and spinning and he reached up to steady his head from the outside if such a thing were possible, the pervading wetness from the rain making it so he didn't notice the slight wound on his temple from when he struck the ground, the it was the source of his pain and dizziness. That was ignored as he pushed himself up to stand, and nearly collapsed from the pain, looking down at his leg in utter confusion. Why did it hurt so bad? And what part of it? He couldn't tell if it was ankle, or knee, or what. He didn't realized he'd broken his ankle with his reaction to the lightning and the slippery landing, knee sprained from the fall as well. His teeth were gritted against the pain and he merely pushed himself on, eyes blurring from the rain he was now ignoring. He wanted to make it to that little village....to find somewhere he could get out of the rain even if it was under an empty market stall at this point, he didn't care. Each step was fresh agony, and he clamped his teeth together harder to keep from yelping in pain. Finally! He was at the edge of the village when another roll of thunder enveloped the skies, another bolt of lightning hitting a tree a short distance off and crashing to the ground, and causing the now slightly jumpy teen to do just that....and cry in pain as he fell to the ground as he put his full weight on his foot instead of the ginger limping he'd been doing. Noble stayed in a crumpled heap there in the rain and mud, the pain rendering him slightly insensible for the time being.

Devin looked out the window of the small house he was living in with his once trainer, giving a little whistle, "One hell of a storm we're getting, Zapdos must be pissed." He said as he watched the lightning raging across the sky before he gave a squeak, finding himself getting smacked in the arm with the book that his trainer held, "Sorry, sorry. One 'heck' of a storm, and Zapdos must be 'peeved'." He said, editing out the curse words and the old woman next to him gave him a smile and a nod. He had to be careful of his tongue getting away with him, his trainer didn't appreciate such language in the house. He set to tapping his hoof against the ground in a thoughtful manner, wondering what had happened to rile up the God Pokemon so much. He must be in one terrible mood to produce a storm like this he decided before he went from one window to the next, check each and everyone one of them to make sure that they were all shut good and tight.
It was as he was checking one of the side ones that he noticed something a little odd, "Huh?" Was someone actually out in this? It really didn't seem safe to him, in fact it seemed like the worst idea in the history of bad ideas... but who was he to judge others? He took a step back away from the window when there was another flash of lightning, this one seeming to strike too close for his liking, and he was back at the window again in time to see a tree come crashing down, "Gonna be a lot of clean up to do tomorrow." He murmured to himself, he'd need to be up earlier then usual so that he could see about tackling the task. He didn't want a bunch of tree limbs laying around that his trainer might trip over.
Once he was done starring at the tree his dark eyes set to searching for the stranger who was walking in this horrible storm... and much to his shock it looked as though he'd been hit as well. He was laying there in the mud and it was then that he acted, running across the house, something that got him scolded because polite people didn't run in the house, and he was quickly grabbing up his rain slicker, "I will be right back, Gram." He told the old woman who was starring at him in shock when she realized he was going outside but before she could try to call him back Devin was already outside, pulling the door shut, before he was racing across the distance between himself and the hopefully not dead stranger. He came to a skidding halt next to the guy, squatting down so that he could get a better look at him, and he couldn't help but to stare, "Eh?" A rainbow unicorn? He didn't know they had these around here, seemed like something one might see up North in the big city he thought to himself. Another crack of thunder seemed to drag him back to the present and what was important at the moment, that most certainly NOT being what a unicorn was doing around here.
"Forgive me for my rudeness." He said to the other guy a moment before he was scooping him up into his massive arms, rushing back toward home. While it was probably customary to ask first, he wasn't really up to date on the rules when it came to carrying around someone that might have been hit by lightning, he would have to risk it. He'd let the guy and his Gram scold him later, right now he needed to get them both inside before he found his antlers turning into lightning rods, not something he liked the sound of.

He ached, his world was spinning crazily, and he wanted it all to stop so he could stop feeling like he was spinning in circles inside his own head and body, this was ridiculous. He swore he heard a noise not related to the storm raging about and he lifted his head up, blinking a few times to try and clear his eyes to no avail.
All he saw was a double blur at this point. A very large double blur.
"Huh?" the word came out in surprise as he heard the apologizing...for what he didn't know, nor from who. It was that feeling of being scooped up like he was that was utterly shocking to him. He'd never been picked up before, and certainly not while injured, muddy, and soaked!
He really wasn't in any position to help himself in any way, or make sense of things around him so he let his eyes fall shut with a low groan, his head thumping lightly against who ever was carrying him as he tried to relax a little. He breathed slowly to try blocking the pain and it worked to a point. He was able to focus a little bit better, and realized who ever was carrying him was not only big, and strong...but warm he was freezing from being drenched, not to mention the shock from his injuries. He might have been mortified to find himself resting against Devin's chest to soak up that warmth.
It was the sound of the door going shut, the realization that water wasn't dripping in his face anymore that had his hand coming up to wipe the water from his eyes as best as he could, a few blinks and....ah! he could see the guy who had picked him up...and not in double vision, just fuzzy vision.
"T-t-thank you." Nobles teeth chattered a second and he shuddered a moment as a chill tore through him from the temperature difference, much as at the same time another loud boom that he swore made things rattle and jump tore through the sky. He could hear the sound of water dripping off them, mostly himself, and he blushed a bit for the mess he was making.

Devin shook off as he stepped into the house, a mess he knew he was going to have to clean up later, and then he was trotting over to the couch to ease the unicorn down onto it, "You stay here, alright? I will be right back." He said in a soothing tone before he hurried off, "I know I am running in the house, Gram, but with good purpose! Can you grab the Pokemon Medkit, please?" He said as he ran by her, having seen the look that he was getting. He would get a scolding latter for all manner of infractions but he knew that they were all well deserved, he also knew she would understand when she saw the one that he brought home.
After a moment digging around in first the linen closet and then his own dresser drawers the Sawsbuck was trotting down the hallway, meeting up with his Gram in the living room where he'd laid the unicorn down to rest, "Hey there, my name is Devin, this is Gram, we are going to take care of you, alright? I just need for you to relax, sound good?" He kept his tone as a soothing one, not wanting to startle him, especially since it seemed that the storm had him in quite a state already. Given that he was walking in it, and had gotten hurt by it, it was more then a little understandable that he would be out of sorts. Best that he do for him what he could, though there was only so much one could do without knowing exactly what they were dealing with. He wasn't sure... perhaps a Ponyta or Blitzle that dyed their hair? A guess on his part... though neither seemed likely, Ponyta had flaming hair and wouldn't be caught out in such a heavy downpour and a Blitzle wouldn't be likely to be so startled by lightning.
The old woman reached out to pat a hand against his arm to get his attention and Devin nodded, reaching over to dig through the kit, "Let's see... ah-ha! We are going to start with this one, alright? It's a Full Heal, it will help you if the lightning had any ill effects on you." He explained, sure that the unicorn might already have heard of it. He was quick to give him a dose before he was digging around again, "There is also this, a potion, it will help ease any injuries that you have. We will use it shortly, first we really need to get you out of those wet clothes and dried off." He told him, stepping forward, reaching out to aid in doing just that.

Of course Devin shaking himself off resulted in Noble getting a little wetter. Not that anyone really would notice as dripping wet as the teen was at this point anyhow. "'kay..." well what else could he, or would he say? It hurt too much to put weight on that leg in any way, so he wasn't about to move oh no way.
Noble's eyes were closed though he'd been listening to the movement of the other teen through the house, wondering what he was doing. He startled at the sudden talking and his eyes flew open in shock, but he relaxed after a second. He was so used to being on his own that being around others was somewhat disorienting. Especially in the shape he was in!
"I'm Noble...nice to meet you both." the words were polite, but worn. The fright in the storm had left him feeling more than a little drained. Or maybe that was the head wound talking. He wasn't sure. His now semi dry hand came to his head and he touched the sore spot wincing again as he realized he was hurt there.
His attention was drawn back to Devin and he blinked a few times to properly focus on the other. "Full heal...okay...." he sounded puzzled. There was things he could take to get better...than weren't berries? He looked as confused and surprised as he sounded. "A potion...?" he had to be hearing things wrong really. "As long as it helps I'll be happy." well that was something really.
Getting out of his clothes...that would prove problematic really. Though, he slowly pushed himself into more of a sitting position, and carefully undid the parts on his sleeves that connected it to the main shirt, leaving his slightly muscular arms bared for the moment. Fingers curled around the hem of the skin tight shirt and he pulled it up, slowing around his tender head and let it drop.
"My pants....I'll need help. I can't stand...my leg hurts...more my knee and ankle." he was a little less out of it. Being in out of the rain and the storm and getting his wits back had really helped. Still, when Devin reached out to help him, he didn't move away, or try to help. He wasn't sure if the other would need his help in removing his pants, but he'd do all he could...even if all he could do was sort of hang onto the other for dear life as he was stripped naked.
That's right...Noble was commando under those pants. He didn't have a clue about underwear. That was sure to be an interesting sight for both Devin and Gram shortly...

"It's nice to meet you Noble, though I wish that the circumstances were a little better." He said, a little sad that the first meeting that the two of them were having was only happening because Noble had been hurt in a storm, "It seems that Zapdos must in a terrible mood over something tonight, huh? I hope his mood improves soon, so that nobody else risks getting hurt in such weather." Poor Noble, he seemed so frazzled by the storm... though who could blame him walking in such a mess he thought to himself before returning to what he was doing.
When the other seemed puzzled he gave a smile, "You don't have a trainer, do you? These are trainer made products that are good for healing our injuries, full heal will get rid of any lingering effects that the lightning might have caused, like paralysis." He explained, wanting Noble to know that he was just trying to cover all his bases where the injuries were concerned. Better safe then sorry when it came to 'battling' a God Pokemon, right?
The next task became helping Noble out of his soaking wet clothing, clothing that seemed to be a little more intricate that what Devin was used to wearing. Mostly jeans, tee shirts, flannel shirts, simple things like that. Each piece that was removed from the brightly colored unicorn was handed over to his Gram, knowing that she would probably seem to it that they were cleaned and dried properly so that they could be returned to Noble at a later date. At the mention that he needed help with his pants, unable to stand due to leg injuries, he gave a nod, "Alright, I will be as careful as I can, then we will see about tending to your wounds." He said, biting his lower lip as he went about the delicate task that was helping Noble out of his drenched, clinging pants without hurting him anymore then he'd already been hurt. Once that was done the pants were handed off as well and Devin turned back, gave pause, then said the first thing that came to mind, "Ahh... so it's not hair dye." A thought that caused his Gram to give him a smack against the arm.
"Sorry, sorry!" He said in a rush then reached over to grab up one of the towels, setting to work helping Noble to dry off, "Once your dry then I will apply the potion, it sometimes can sting a little but it's pretty effective, if it still hurts afterwards we will see about applying something stronger." They didn't have a lot of the more expensive potions but if it was necessary he would use one of them on Noble, they were meant for Devin after all so he could pick how they were used. He would just have to be more careful himself was all, "Alright, I am going to lightly pat dry your leg, you can hold onto me if you want since I am sure it will hurt a little." He offered before he set to doing so, hating the fact that he might be causing pain but he couldn't really leave his one leg wet, not when they needed to spray his wounds down with the potion, the water would interfere with the potency, "How are you holding up so far, Noble?"

"I'm used to bad things happening where I'm concerned." a wry smile was given to the other teen, a rather accepting tone to his voice. It was true as far as he was concerned he was very used to things not going the way they ought to.
"It does seem that way. Though maybe it's just that the land seems really dry and he's giving us all some much needed watering." well it was one way to look at it honestly. "Hopefully others are able to find shelter quicker than I did." a wry smile was given.
The question made him shake his head. "No, never..." and here he gave a grin of his own. "I've traveled around as long as I can recall following a...a pull...helping people when they need help. Though I have to say this is the first time I've needed helped." it was an interesting twist!
Though he gave a low laugh. "Not to say no one never tried to catch me...the few that did, didn't have strong enough balls to do it. Not sure what sort they'd have needed to catch me when I looked more like a proper Keldeo. Now, well they bounce away harmlessly when they do try."
He let Devin explain the potions and all and gave a nod of his head. "Thank you, I really appreciate your help. Now I've got an idea on how grateful the people I've helped were...never thought I'd be the one hurt, or needing rescued." he gave a sheepish laugh, looking embarrassed by this fact.
Noble did hang onto Devin's arm, letting his hands feel those strong flexing muscles under his skin, and he was mostly oblivious to his pants coming off, save for a slight ache in his knee, and the twinge of pain in his ankle as his pants caught. His fingers tightened on Devin's arm with the softest of whimpers, teeth catching his lower lip as he bit back anything louder.
Though look at him blink at Gram hitting Devin in the arm a puzzled look given as he sat there naked as a baby....and it very obvious the carpet matched the drapes. "What do you mean hair dye? What's that?" well..for as much as he traveled and rarely stayed put in any one place, perhaps it was no wonder the small intricacies of life were lost on him.
"You do what needs done. I'll sit still and not fuss." well hopefully the soft whimpers weren't considered fussing, but he was remarkably calm, and quiet all things considered. He was a legendary after all and it came with certain perks he knew. "The sting can't be worse than the broken ankle Devin. I trust you to do what you feel needs to be done. Once I'm able to, I'd like to do something to repay your kindness."
Nobles hand curled over Devin's arm again, they tightening slightly as the towel patted over his leg. The knee was the least problematic part to him. That ankle felt like some sort of fresh hell though, and he gritted his teeth and dropped his head to rest against one of Devin's shoulders. "Little dizzy...but think thats from hitting my head when I jumped from the lightning. Just glad it didn't hit me. The ankle, knee and head is bad enough. Don't need broiled Keldeo too." he looked up at the other with a low chuckle. Despite it all he was in a good mood. "If I'm able I'll help you clean up the mess I've made...I'm sorry."

Devin gave a little pause when Noble said that he was used to had things happening where he was concerned. He starred at him a moment before giving him a smile, "Well, you don't have to worry about anything bad happening to you here, you are safe so long as you are with me, I promise." Anyone dumb enough to mess with Noble under his watch would get a massive hoof to the face courtesy of Devin. With that he returned to tending to the other Pokemon's wounds, being ever careful as he did so, listening to everything that Noble was saying. When he spoke of how nobody had been able to catch him due to a lack of strong enough balls Devin lifted a hand to his mouth, smothering a laugh, "I see, I see. Well it's proof of a bad trainer when they lack balls so I doubt they deserved to even try to catch you." He said, doing his best not to laugh even as he said that. It was true in so many ways he thought to himself.
Devin cleared his throat when Noble asked him what he meant about hair dye, "Oh, when I first say you hair I thought maybe it was dyed since it's such a bright color and I have never seen that before on a... Blitzle? Ponyta?" He still wasn't all that sure... could really be either, or was he an evolved form of that. Didn't Rapidash have a horn like the one Noble had? Maybe that was what he was. Yeah, that made sense he thought to himself as he went back to what he was doing, wincing when Noble made little whimpering sounds here and there, "Sorry, sorry... I am almost done." He said in a soothing tone of voice, reaching over to grab up the big shirt that he'd fetched, one of his own, green in color with a similar plaid design to it as any flannel had, and he helped Noble to put it on, giving him back some semblance of modesty once more.
"There we go, all dry and dressed, time for the potion. If this one doesn't help let me know, I will grab a stronger one." He wasn't quite sure what sort of potion was going to be needed for a broken ankle and even if he was able to heal it he was sure that Noble would still need to be off his feet for a while, "Once we get you patched up what do you think about something yummy to eat? Gram made some really good stew last night and I am sure we can reheat you a bowl of it." A good, hearty meal would do wonders for the other teen he thought to himself as he popped open the potion and set to spraying the cold contents of it against Noble's wounds, hoping to get it done quickly enough that he wouldn't cause even more undo harm to the poor guy. He'd been through enough already. As Noble started to list off his symptoms as he used the potion he nodded, sure to give his knee a good spray down as well. There wasn't a lot he could do for the headache though save for some asprin though, he'd get him those along with dinner since it was best to take them with food.
"There we go, let me know if it helps with the pain." He said, giving him a smile before he fetched a blanket to wrap around Noble, not wanting the poor guy to freeze, "As for helping to clean up the mess I will have none of it, your job is to rest and get to feeling better." He told him, giving him a smile, "You work on that and I will pick up the mess and get you some dinner."

"It's not me I'm worried about the bad things happening to Devin..." his words were sighed out softly. He'd try to explain more, and better when he wasn't feeling quite so out of it. He didn't want to stay and something bad happen to Devin and Gram just because they'd helped him.
Devin thought Noble would be safe as long as he was there with him...and looking the Sawsbuck over, Noble thought that maybe he could be right...but what if he wasn't? What if all the bad followed him? He wasn't fully convinced he wasn't some sort of bad luck magnet, and that while it never seemed to harm him...that it wouldn't go for them.
Noble completely missed the double meaning to his choice of phrasing. It was just one of those things he didn't usually talk to people and when he did it was to exchange only a few words. So he was a bit naive on how certain things worked.
"Oh...no my hairs always been bright colored like this...and not a Blitzle or a Ponyta." he couldn't help laughing softly. "I'm a Keldeo."
"It's okay. I knew it would hurt." there was no point in lying about it. It would hurt, and at least he was just whimpering some, and not crying out or reacting worse. A few whimpers were easy enough.
The shirt he was handed to put on, was pulled on thankfully, he was more than a little chilly after the time in the rain. He half snuggled into the shirt, and realized with a slight flush it smelled faintly of Devin. That wasn't a bad thing. It was just not something he'd ever experienced before.
"I don't want to use all your potions up. I have some money in my pack, I can at least pay you back for those. They can't be cheap." he shifted carefully so Devin could get at the leg that was hurt, looking up at him with a bright smile. "Something to eat would be really nice. I haven't eaten since early this morning. I was trying to outrun the storm so didn't stop to eat." at least he'd had a good reason.
The cold potion on his leg was just that, cold! It brought a soft gasp of surprise from him and he jerked a little going instantly rigid, fingers curling against his palms as he held his breath a moment and let it out slowly. Oh that had hurt, jerking like he had. That had been stupid.
"Thank you." he stayed still even once the other was done, giving it all time to start working, he didn't know how long it would take. Though he noticed his knee started to feel better relatively quickly. That ankle...that was an entirely different matter. Oh sure the sharp stabbing pain was less, but it still hurt a lot.
The blanket was appreciated and he pulled it around himself tightly to try and warm up as much as he could, a wry look given to Devin. "Alright Devin. I don't think my ankle is going to let me help any time soon anyhow. But it isn't hurting as much." which was something.
Still, he sat there, and wished he could do something a little more than be a useless lump on the couch. Devin had run out into that storm for him, brought him in, and now was taking care of him. Of course if he'd been able to take care of himself he wouldn't be here.
Is this really how people felt when they were in need of help or rescue? How disconcerting it was! His attention snapped out of his thoughts as he watched Devin walking off, and he settled a little more fingers gingerly touching his head, glad to find it wasn't bleeding anymore. He didn't think he ought to close his eyes anytime soon though. He'd hit it pretty hard.

"Keldeo?" Devin echoed, blinking a couple times, then flushed, "My apologies then for being so hands on." Oops, he hadn't really thought that he would end up finding a Keldeo, one of the God Pokemon, out in the rain he thought to himself. Had he known... well... he probably wouldn't have done anything different. Noble had been in need of help and he'd given him that help, no matter who or what he was he felt that he had done the right thing. There was no reason why he should act timid around Noble now that he knew what he was, it didn't seem as though the guy were the demanding sort, nor was he acting as though everyone should fall to their knees in either. If he truly was a Keldeo he must be a rather kind and gracious one.
A soft chuckle escaped from him when Noble told him that he didn't want to use up all of the potions, "They are here for this very reason, if we need to use them then we will use them. I don't want to leave you in pain just because the potions cost money. Besides, it isn't as though we can't go and pick up more of them later to replenish our stock." It helped that Devin didn't really battle all that much so it wasn't as though he used up a great deal of potions to heal himself up after the battles were over. The way he saw it was that he should use the potions now, on someone that needed them, before they risked expiration. Glad that it seemed Noble wasn't going to argue with him on the point about the food he smiled, "I will get you a big bowl of stew to make up for you missing lunch." He told him, "Eating good will help speed up the healing process after all."
Giving Noble's hair a gentle ruffle the big sawsbuck turned on his hoof and headed for the kitchen, deciding that he would see about fetching him some stew first and then he would see about taking care of the mess that he'd made while helping the Keldeo out. How interesting, to think that he would actually end up with someone so important in their modest little house. It really was a honor he thought to himself as he got out one of the big bowls, serving up a good amount of the stew that his Gram had made, got a spoon, and carried it back to where he left Noble at, "Dinner is served." He said, holding the bowl out to Noble, giving him a bright smile as he did so.

"Mmmhmm Keldeo..." he watched the other blink and flush and he groaned internally. Oh please don't let him over react and treat me weird... he hated that! The apology though...it made him smile and even laugh."No it's okay really Devin I don't mind. I needed the help, and you gave the help, you have no reason to be embarrassed, really you don't." "I suppose you have a point. Still...lets start with this, see how it works. Can always use more, but can't take it back once used." it was only logical in the end really. There was a grateful smile and he nodded. "Thank you, I appreciate it." maybe he should stop telling people he was a Keldeo. They usually seemed to expect something from him...and he didn't realize it was a different sort of behavior than the one he had. He didn't see what the big deal about himself was in the end. God or no. He was surprised beyond words at having his hair ruffled though and it made him blush a moment, a smile crossing his lips. No one had ever been so friendly with him before after finding out who he was! This was... nice!Noble wasn't asleep, he hadn't even dozed off really. He'd just been sitting with his eyes closed trying to relax and he was. He was merely listening to the quiet sounds around the house, and trying in his own way to make sure he wasn't bringing danger down upon the two who lived here. He'd leave in a heartbeat even if he was still injured if he had to. His eyes fluttered open and he smiled up at Devin warmly. "Thank you. It's nice....being treated normal I mean. I'm glad you're not making a big deal about things. It makes me uncomfortable. So this is really nice." Devin had no idea how nice. A bite of the stew was taken and there was a low moan of appreciation for the hardy home cooked meal and his eyes lifted up to Devin again. "This is the best thing I've ever eaten!" he usually existed on what he foraged as he traveled. It was easier that way, though he did usually have supplies in his bag in case. Eating quietly for a few moments he finally sighed, letting the food settle and he ran his fingers along the edge of the bowl. "I said a bit ago I'm used to bad things happening...to me is a first." a wry smile given. "I swear bad luck follows me. I wouldn't want the two of you to get hurt because of my being here. Once the storm lessens...I should think about leaving....hopefully anything bad will bypass the two of you."
