Between one moment and the next Jessie went from being huddled in a corner surrounded by the destruction that was the carnival to being wheeled into the Destiny City ER. She distantly remembered bits and pieces of it.... The sounds of distant sirens coming closer, mixing with and covering the cries of the wounded.
A young man in a reflective jacket asking if she was ok... Shining a light in her eyes... field dressing her still bleeding arm
"Shock." Is he talking to me?
"Will need stitches" No... no he's not
"Not priority." Who cares? Nothing matters anymore
"Ma'am? Ma'am can you hear me? Everything will be ok?" Ok? Nothing will be ok... ever
Everything went dark for a little while and then there were lights, bright white lights. And sounds... crying, beeping, squeaking....
The young man was back, pushing her cart... gurney, its called a gurney.... in through the doors of the hospital. He was rattling off all this medical jargon but she wasn't listening.
Oblivion was calling... and Jessie didn't really care, anything had to be better then the hell that she just lived through.... if you call surviving living.

Trevor glanced around in the flurry of chaos looking for Lily, knew where she was located exactly but hadn't seen her in the crowds and did not hear her cry of help or for him. He ran past the other people apologizing when he pushed past them. It was important he find her to make sure she was alright. He paused and took a couple of deep breaths. Before hearing the cry of ambulance sirens. He panicked and continued his search.
After a few mintues of pushing past emergency crews he spotted gurney with a figure on it. He pushed past anyone in front of him praying silently that the figure wasn't Lily but when he got closer he recognized the familiar red curls and let out a gasp. He made his way over and lightly touched her hand before a emergency crew member approached him and tried to usher him away before he stood his ground "I know her! just let me see her and let me ride with her" he told the crew member.
Trying to hide the emotions he was experiencing, shock, anger, love and protectiveness. He cursed under his breath to himself knowing he should have been there to protect her.

Lily lay still on the gurney, her breathing shallow and her heart rate slow. She had exhausted every bit of energy she had and pass out after she just could hold it any longer. She didn't have the energy to wake and she was completely unaware of what was going on around her. There would be no response from her for now, she needed to rest.
Being wheeled into an ambulance, being taken to the hospital, her boyfriend at her side, we're things she could only be told about.
Xander was currently in over his head. There we're people everywhere, some were being checked in while other's need to be shipped out to other hospitals. The morgue had taken more bodies today that Xander really felt comfortable with and he found himself running round and round.
The carnival was what he was being told, there was some kind of masscre at the carnival. People came in with all sorts of injuries, from being attacked, to be throw from a ride, to just minor things like scrapes, cuts and bruises. He was on his own tonight, there was no help from his superior, everyone was busy. He had seen 15 children already in the night.
He turned to see what he could have sworn was Jessie on a gurney and did a double take. He heart picking up a beat or two. "I know her," he stated quickly and came over to the gurney.
"Jessie," he said softly, "Jessie look at me please."
The ride to the hospital was a short one, siren blaring, going through lights, nearly hitting a car who didn't move quite fast enough, but they got there.
The gurney was being wheeled through the hospital, the paramedics rattling off the situation, "19 year old female, multiple cuts, multiple bruises, shallow breathing, low heart rate, totally unresponsive."

Jessie was awake again but not paying attention to anything. Her mind was hiding deep in its own consciousness trying to hid from the devastation that occurred at the carnival. Part of her was yelling at her to wake up... to get up and fight back... she was a knight for God's sake... grow a bloody pair. But that part had been sleeping for so long it was easier to ignore it... easier to drift in and out of the fog that dulled the edges of pain and loss. There was a light jarring when someone came over to her. Her arm bumped up against her body, setting the claw marks back to throbbing. Each beat of her heart echoed in her arm and some light came back into her eyes. There was someone standing over her... calling to her. Eyes... pretty eyes... blue, no green, no blue.... green
Red hair... curly.... long.... not Lily
Tall.... realllly tallll
Shang..... Shang and Maia..... Shang and Maia and Pompeii.... "Xander?" Jessie surfaced slowly. "Xander what are you doing here?" How did I get here? "Where is here?" It was all a blur for Jessie. Her last clear memory was the bear youma being dusted by a broom. She didn't even knotice the tears slipping quietly down her cheeks.

Trevor followed the emergency crew a few paces behind them he watched her lying in the gurney helpless. He was still raging through the emotions and he lightly brushed her cheek with a hand. He needed to focus on where he was going. "It will be alright and im here" he told her under his breath even though she was unresponsive he wasn't sure what to do in the current state she was in. He was not use to this and it came as a shock, still wishing he had been there to protect her if not help her she would have stood a higher chance of still being conscious. The warmth of his free hand still holding hers i hopes she would feel it. He was pretty certain she could tell it was him by touch but then again there was a chance she might not.

Trevors voice was heard and his touch was felt, but neither registered. Lily had used most of her energy and her body was in a forced rest. She needed it to regain her energy and she heal. She was rather bruised, with multiple cuts, and her heart rate was very low. It was odd what being fully disconnected with one starseed could do, especially since the feisty and determined young woman wouldn't give up in a fight.
Her normally tanned skin lost it sunkissed hue and she was a bit clammy, probably quite a sight to see.
A paramedic turned to Trevor giving him a sad look, "I'm sorry, but we need to work on her," he said pulling the boy in another direction, "come lets get you checked out and once she's stable and situation we will let you sit with her."
Xander frowned at Jessie pulling out a small light and checking her eyes, moving the light back and forth to see if they would follow.
"I'm at work Jessie. Your in the hospital. You don't remember how you got here," he questioned her softly moving to allow another doctor to work on her with a nod to her.
Looking at Jessie he missed his sister being wheeled in a boy with her being pulled away.
"Xander," a nurse called gaining his attention though he still didn't see his sister as she was wheeled through a crowd to a separate spot to be worked on, "this boy needs to be checked out. He just came in from the carnival," she said motioning to Trevor.
Xander nodded moving to bring Trevor over to where Jessie was so he could examine the boy. "Hello, I'm Dr. Jacobs. Do you know where you are? Can you tell me your name," he started motioning for Trevor to sit up on the bed.
It could be noted that the doctor looked almost identical to his sister, only he lacked his sister's freckles and was obviously male.

With a shake of her head Jessie weakly moved her arm and muttered, “Not really. Damn carnival.” It was all starting to come back to her; how she went to the opening day of the carnival at the insistence of her mom, how she spent most of her time at the animal pens first watching the animals and people then fighting the youma when the negaverse attacked, then following the officers to the fun house and taking on the huge bear youma… everything after that was hazy and for some odd reason Jessie was glad that it was. The memories haunted her eyes and for a moment there she nearly spilled it all but then Xander moved to let another doctor work on her. He asked the typical questions while examining her bandaged arm, ‘can you tell me the date,’ ‘can you tell me your name,’ ‘does your head hurt,’ ‘does anything else hurt,’. It was the last one that made her nod an affirmative, she remembered falling and scraping up her back several times during the battle, her uniform took most of the brunt but her back was still pretty tore up. Explaining that she had fallen during the carnival the doctor asked to take a look. A hiss of pain escaped her clenched teeth when the doctor tried to remove her intact shirt from her torn back. The light material had adhered to her back and would need to be cut off, since the sleeve was already slit to gain access to her mulled bicep Jessie could only nod in accent. To keep her mind off of the pain and the indignity of her shirt being removed, her back cleaned, disinfected, and bandaged Jessie studied her surroundings and with a gasp of surprise recognized the young man Xander was helping… Tyler, no…. Tanner, no…. Fred? Nope… “Trevor?” It was the young man who had helped her hang the Easter decorations so very long ago, or at least it felt that way.

Trevor glanced at the figure on the gurney that was nearby and recognized her and nodded his head "Hi..Jessie" he said and then looked at the doctor before answering his questions. He was fine, perhaps a little shocked that Lily was in the state she was in and he felt useless and wasn't sure what to do.
"I'm pretty sure I'm at the Hospital and my Name is Trevor..I came in with Lily " he said gesturing where the paramedic was wheeling Lily away. He took a moment to register who the person was..he looked like lily with the exception that he was a male and was missing Lily's freckles and he had the same last name as Lily so he put the pieces together "ah...you must be Xander...Lily's Brother" he said.

Xander looked over to Jessie when it seemed that Trevor and Jessie knew each other. He listened to Trevor while he spoke, but when he said his sister's name he looked up remembering that Lily had talked about a Trevor, a lot lately and when the boy seemed to know he was Lily's brother it only confirmed it. This was the boy, now boyfriend that Lily talked about a lot.
He nodded confirming that he was indeed Lily's brother before speaking again. "I'm going to check your heart and your lungs," he started, "stay as still as possible."
The stethoscope was placed to Trevor's chest and Xander listened to the slightly too fast heart beat, while he eyes wandered the emergency room looking for his sister. He expected her to be sitting on a bed getting checked out by another of the pediatric doctors as the hospitals policy was pediatric until 21. He did not however see her and his own heart rate was beginning to rise.
He looked to Trevor, "you breathing sound fine, but you heart rate is a little elevated," before his eyes wandered the emergency room once more. "That's to be expected. Your body still hasn't come down from it's adrenaline rush. You may feel a bit shaky when it does."
He looked to Jessie who was getting bandaged and frowned at the bruises he saw on her. "What exactly happened at the carnival," he asked her not knowing that Trevor was Lassell from training, so not knowing he was a knight he has to look to Jessie for confirmation of the fantastical stories they were being told.
His eyes roamed again looking to the groups where the most action was, were several doctors worked on a patient at once and hoped Lily had simply been finished with already. "I don't see my sister," he said looking to Trevor once more before trying to refocus on the task at hand.
"How's your head? Is it hurting? Are you hurting anywhere else," he asked moving onto more standard questions.
Lily was transferred to a bed and several doctors moved around her, pulling away her clothing, checking her over before starting in on trying to raise low heart rate and stabilize her shallow breathing. She had many bruises forming all over her, open claw marks down her left thigh, angry red marks across her torso, though them appeared to be simply superficial. The doctors couldn't help but to ponder what exactly happened to the girl.

Jessie was holding the hospital gown that she was given across her chest as a nurse quietly murmured as Jessie’s back was cleaned of all debris. The doctor that took over for Xander had done the check of her wounds and determined that the main parts were her back and her arm, since the arm was field bandaged and was holding until it could be stitched he turned her over to a nurse to work on her back. The doctor then went on his way to help yet another carnival attendee. She was doing her best to focus on anything other than the rasp of the brush across her back so when Xander asked her something it took a moment before she registered the question. What happened? What could she say? Negaverse officers attacked en-mass? No one would believe her other then Xander and she did not relish spending the night at the hospital for observance for a ‘brain issue’ when she knew that the hospital staff would need every hand and bed for the real injuries. “Um… these really oddly dressed people showed up.” From both sides “And I was at the animal pens and something went wrong since all the cages opened somehow.” Jessie briefly wondered how the animals faired in all that insanity. “Then there were these… things that were just attacking. Some of them looked like animals but they weren’t. They were too big or had sharp teeth, claws where hooves should have been. And some…” Jessie shook her head and felt the warm hand of the nurse as she tried to comfort her. “Xander… I saw one of the attackers… they…” She was at a loss for words, Lily had briefly explained it but she didn’t think she would ever see it happen. As she groped for a word she remembered a bit from a movie that would be a good explanation. “They pulled a Kali-ma from Temple of Doom.” The nurse peaked over Jessie’s back to look at her in shock, “They reached their hands in someone’s chest, ripped out their still beating heart, and ate it?” Jessie could understand the disbelief she saw in the young lady’s face but other than the little side note that it wasn’t a heart and she didn’t see anyone eat it, it was a pretty accurate description so Jessie nodded and looked away. She didn’t want to see the doubt bloom in Xander’s or Trevor’s eyes, she didn’t want them to believe she was going crazy… she didn’t want to believe she was going crazy.

Trevor shrugged slightly and glanced at Xander "they said they had to tend to her so i don't know where they would have put her" he put in frowning slightly hoping that Lily was okay. He nodded his head and followed the doctor's instructions sitting as still as possible so he could check his lungs and heart rate.
"My head is fine and no I'm not hurting anywhere else, other then being all high strung about the state Lily is. I've never been in such a situation before its fairly nerve racking" he told him his eyes surveying the crowds to see if there were any good signs that a doctor was approaching them. He was on edge and jumpy because he wanted to find out if she was alright, he blew out a light breath and continued to wait.
He wasn't too worried about how he would feel after the adrenaline wore off but his main focus was hoping the Lily was alright. He wanted to be there for her when she woke up to make up for not being there when she got hurt and when she used up all her energy.Before he spoke up to back up Jessie's description " i was around the animal pens as well, so i saw it too" he put in quietly.

Xander frowned at Trevor as he spoke, it didn't lend much hope that his sister was in a good condition. She and Trevor were around the same age and that they had come in together, but separated and he didn't see his sister at all made his heart race faster.
Jessie's words drummed in his ears and the added explanation from the nurse made him tense and look at Jessie wide eyed, turning his head to give Trevor the same look. He gave them both a nod and then he was walking away very quickly. He needed to see his little sister and make sure she was okay. He had a sense of foreboding at the moment.
He was however circumvented by his superior, who grabbed hold of him. "She's fine Xander. While she doesn't show any signs of waking up, its not like the others. We have stabilized her breathing and her heart rate and they are stitching up her wounds and getting some bandages on her."
Xander nodded, but frowned wanting to go over to his sister.
"Why don't you tell the young man she came in with that she's doing fine and he will be able to see her when we move her to a room," said his mentor.
Xander gave a forlorned look before heading back over to Jessie and Trevor. "Sorry about that. Dr. Taylor says that Lily is doing fine and you'll be able to see her when they move her. She isn't waking up, but she'll be just fine."
He grabbed some sterilizing equipment and went about cleaning any small cuts and knicks. "When I finish my shift I'll come up to her room. It may be a while though, wait for me please ... you to Jessie."
He looked to Trevor, "I've got a lot to do. I'm sure you can see that Lily's phone should be in her purse. They'll give it to you if you ask for it. Call our parents for me if you could and let them know what happened."
He finished checking Trevor over and looked to Jessie, "You can wait in the waiting room and when they move her, they will let you know. Okay?"

Jessie watched as Xander walked away and was stopped by another doctor only to return to Trevor's side. She can't blame him, if she had heard that one of her parents were likely hurt but didn't know how bad, she would have dropped everything to go find out. Stay longer? Jessie really didn't want to but she knew that Xander would need to know exactly what went on at the carnival and she did want to see how Lily was doing, after all if a strong senshi like Maia was floored how well could a weak page like Pompeii hope to survive. "Okay Xander." The nurse was just about done with her back and after bandaging it waved over the first doctor again. "She is ready for the stitches in her arm." The doctor nodded and after a few moments started to stitch up her arm. It was annoying and sort of painful but it wasn't as bad as Jessie thought it would be so it was with only a bit of pain bleeding into her voice that she nodded and said 'Okay' to Xander again.

Trevor nodded his head "will do Xander" he said before walking up to the doctor that was tending to Lily and asked him to retrieve her phone from her purse. "can I get her phone? I need to make a phone call to her parents" he told the doctor. A few mintues the doctor came back with Lily's phone.
Before he glanced at Jessie and lightly patted her shoulder "I'll see you around" he said before taking Lily's phone and headed to the waiting room to make the quick phone call to her parents to inform them of the situation, it would have to be brief since they were in the hospital. He looked around for a empty seat and sat down, opening Lily'e phone to scroll through her contacts list for her parent's number. After briefly conversing with them and explaining the situation to them. He hung up on them.
After a few minutes he made his way up to Lily's room and opened the door quietly and walked in sitting in a chair that was near her bed. He lightly took her hand in his and he lightly stroked the back of Lily's hand with a thumb. "why didn't you ask for my help, i would have been there in a flash" he quietly. He lightly kissed her forehead and sat back down.

Lily had been stitched and bandaged up, her heartrate had returned to a normal range, so she was moved to her own room. It took a bit of time, but the doctors felt she would wake up, hopefully at some point in the next 24hr. She hadn't been like the other's who heart rates that hadn't been able to raise, so they were confident she would be fine.
Trevor's words were heard for the most part and she felt his kiss, but she didn't have enough energy to wake or give an active response so Trevor would be left wandering for a while.
Xander had managed to get away for a few minutes to answer his ringing buzzing phone that was distracting the ER. His mentor knew it would be better for Xander answer so her shuffled off for a short break. He didn't answer his phone instead turning it off, finding out his sister's room number and heading up. He saw Jessie as he came of the elevator and gave her a smile and a pat on the shoulder, before heading to his sisters room with Jessie beside him.
He came to the door just in time to hear Trevor asking why Lily didn't ask for his help and how he'd come right away. He looked to Jessie perplexed wondering if the boy knew his sister's secret.
He motioned for Jessie to go and and closed the door behind him as he entered, heading over to the other side of his sister's bed and brushing the red curls from her face. He leveled Trevor with a stern gaze, one that read don't lie to me. "How could you have possibly helped her? And more so why weren't you with her?"
