A new world awaits beyond the silver gates that lay closed behind me, but fear not lonesome traveler. These gates will only lay closed for a short while. There are simple questions one must answer before The Game will allow you access to it's haven. Take time in selecting your answers, and great heed in what you say or do. Each decision shall be affixed to you permanently. Choose wisely. It is up to the Game Servers to decide where you will go from this point on- based on who you are, what you're made of, and how you would handle certain situations in every day life. The Game Servers decide whether or not you are worthy enough to set foot within the world of Larmadia.User name: Player name: Player Desc: (This is your Character's REAL life self) Player Personality: Game Character Name: Age: (Your character's REAL age and Game Age) Class: (Select your Class from the third post on this page) Weapon: Description: (Yes, pictures are allowed, just make sure they don't stretch my page! The Test Run Quote: The room was restless, and yet somehow quiet. The eight people scattered throughout the large and plainly simple room hardly spoke to one another. They all, however, knew why each was present. The request to test some new game for the world's most known company, Lab Tech- passed out to the best known gamers throughout the US, and even beyond there. And now they were all present, merely glancing at one another, and not wanting a thing to do with each other. Silence, it seemed, wasn't meant to last. The doors opposite the pair the group had entered the room through were thrust open, allowing a team of five Lab Tech personnel to step through and into the room. Each face of the eight guests turned in tandem, seeming to size up the five that had just joined their numbers. Casually, each finally found their feet, awaiting orders- if not more then that- from these new faces. "I imagine you eight are the group we invited to test out our newest project." an older male of the five stepped forward, speaking almost eagerly as he shook the hand of each person he came to in greeting. "Else you all would not be here, correct?" he didn't give any the chance to answer. "The Game is a virtual reality system which we have taken to the next level. You will be plugged in, so to speak, run the test level for 90 minutes, then give us direct feed back when the test run is over." he paused for only a brief moment, glancing at each face briefly. "Now then, if there are no questions, follow me please and we'll get started." With little to no hesitation the group now consisting of thirteen filed into the room the personnel had just emitted from moments before. Once all were inside the doors were shut, locked, and the first test run of The Game commenced. Quote: "This just in! What was left of one of Lab Tech's private planes was just confirmed of being found outside of New York City's city limits. The craft apparently exploded for unknown reasons and was carrying the eight winner's of the company's Big Gamer Contest. The group was heading back home after the first test run of Lab Tech's newest product The Game- a new virtual reality system set to be released some time next fall. More on this story and more, tonight at 8:00." Quote: The Game! Today's biggest marketing system has been sweeping the Nation and across seas since it's release three years ago. There is hardly a house hold without at least two hook-ups for the system, and according to polls taken earlier this year, over 70 percent of America has at least played this action packed adventure game! See what you're missing today- try The Game, Lab tech's finest system!

Character Classes / Job List Physical ClassesQuote: Warrior/Knight - Portrayed as a skilled swordsman who can make use of some of the most powerful heavy armors and weaponry. As such, it is a well-rounded physical combatant with both high attack and defense statistics. Monk - A master of martial arts (especially karate) who shuns heavy weapons or armor in favor of barehanded fighting, sometimes supplemented with claws. They show a proclivity towards certain meditative techniques which can improve their attack power, or heal their battle wounds. Berserker - A warrior who fights battles in an unbridled rage, and is thus vicious but uncontrollable. Berserkers characteristically dress in animal skins. The Berserker has access only to physical attacks and is not directly controllable by anyone, thus making them dangerous to even their own side. Thief - Generally a slightly weaker physical combatant, but with an unusually high skill at evasion, escape, speed and often luck due to their natural dexterity. Stealing is their trademark ability. It allows the Thief to remove one of an enemy's held items, weapons, armor, or accessories. Fencer - Like the combination of a warrior and a thief a fencer is fast, evasive and wonderful on their feet and have the sword skills, technique and most of the strength of a warrior. To maintain smooth movements fencers cannot equip heavy armor or maintain a shield though they can, at an expert's level, wield two weapons at once. Lower defense than a warrior Fencer's are open to physical attack but the evasion and speed a fencer possesses compensates in some ways. Hunter - Sometimes also called Archer or Ranger, Hunter is a physical class that specializes in ranged weapons, which do less damage, but allow them to attack from a distance. Hunters traditionally use bows and crossbows for damage. They can also inflict status effects (sometimes) with their arrows, and sometimes have forestry related abilities such as detecting, capturing, or hiding from monsters. Dual Edge - Those of the Dual Edge class wield two long daggers (the blades are about the length of one’s arm from the wrist to the elbow). They are agile and able to attack more quickly than most of the other classes--attack power is average, though defense isn‘t as strong as it could be. Lancer - This class is able to wield spears and other bladed poles. Their attacks are slower--but their weapons are very effective when it comes to piercing armor or dealing with aerial enemies/attacks. Their attack power is quite decent, though their defense is not. Edge Master - Edge Masters specialize in one-handed swords and daggers. The are also swift in their attacks and have good accuracy. All of their stats (except for higher agility) are balanced. Reaper - Reapers wield scythes and large axes--specializing in sweeping attacks that can easily knock an enemy down if said attack connects. They are quick and powerful but have weak defense. Members of this class are similar to Lancers, only more agile. Artillerist - Artillerists have bayonet-like rifles so they are equally able to defend themselves at either close or long range. The sword-like blade attached to the barrel of the gun is able to detach, allowing the blades to be interchangeable. Mage ClassesQuote: Black Mage - Is a magic-user that specializes in attack magic, Black Magic. Many of their spells utilize the elements to attack their enemies (fire, ice, thunder, water). White Mage - Uses White Magic to replenish party members's health, revive the wounded, cure status conditions, and deal holy damage to the enemy. They also use Denfesive Magic to protect both themselves and their comrads in the heat of battle. Geomancers - Channel the powers of the environment around them. Therefore, their abilities differ depending on where they currently are. If in a forest, they will attack with vines and forest animals, if in a cave with rockslides, if in a desert with quicksand, etc. Sage - Sages are powerful magic users who can learn nearly every single Black and White Magic spell. (We will accept a limited number of these.) Mixed ClassesQuote: (Again, we will be accepting a limited number of those listed below.) Red Mage - Red Mages use the abilities of both Black Mages and White Mages and have the combat abilities of a Fighter, but are dilettantes and are not as good at any one ability as are any of the other classes; they are the "jack of all trades, yet master of none" sort of class. In general, they are only able to cast lower-level spells, and even then, not necessarily every one of those. Paladin - Virtuous knights devoted to the good of the people; these "knights in shining armor" wield white magic to aid the people. Dark Knights - The embodiment of sorrow, regret, and mourning. They wield dark magic dedicated to stealing the health of an enemy. Their special attacks usually involve draining their own health or in some cases, sacrificing themselves, in order to inflict heavy damage on the enemy. They use very heavy armor and weaponry to augment their skills. Savage - This naturalistic class is sometimes better known as a shaman, or witch doctor. Able to wield strong elemental magic, restoration magic and most types of weapons, this class is a very strong hybrid. To offset the brutal offensive capabilities of a Savage, most of their talents and skills require lots of mana, which they do not have in abundance. Of all classes, the Savage is the most mana inefficient. They also suffer from the armor restrictions placed on them. Up to 35 they can only wear leather armor, at 35 they gain the proficiency to wear chain mail. This is the highest armor class they can equip. As a hybrid class, Savages can train themselves to be splendid melee damage dealers, powerful casters, or very efficient healers. However they cannot excel at all three. Other ClassesQuote: Bards - They use songs to cause status effects, often strengthening the party or weakening the opposition through temporary stat reduction by using their vocals and/or instruments. They generally equip harps and flutes as weapons, which vary in strength depending on the materials the instruments are composed of. Dancers - They use special Dances to cause status effects or damage to all enemies on a battle field. Unlike songs, the result of a dance is usually random if the Dancer does not know what they're doing. A well versed Dancer has most control over the effects their dance will cause if, and only if they think of it before they begin. Macabre Dancer - The name comes from the shocking beauty of these dancers. They use fans as their main weapon but are also quite skilled at casting status magics that both hinder their enemies and aid their allies. They have a high intelligence but pay for it with a weak defense. Their fan attacks are graceful and fast but they aren't particularly powerful. Echo Bracer - Echo Bracers focus primarily on speed and balance, taking instruments as their weapon of choice. While their attack stats are weak, they can generally get in three attacks to most other classes' one, and players can unlock many rapid-hit combos as skills, and their attacks have a good range (though the effectiveness drops off as the sound disperses). The downside? A defense stat nearly as poor as a cleric's.
