Mahaziver's mother died in child birth, or so she was told. Which might explain why Mahaziver is a little more tomboy then girly. Her father raised her well and strong. Her father's occupation was hunting riftborn. They were the scourge of the land had to be kept under control. His job was dangerous, but he was good at what he did. He passed on his skills to Mahaziver as a child. Starting her early with flexibility and endurance. Her father felt that those attributes would benefit her best compared to physical strength.

Mahaziver didn't inherit her magic from her father. She might have gotten it from her mother but he never talked about her and so Maha could only speculate when she got older. Mahaziver spent her life as a normal child, hoping to follow in her fathers footsteps hunting Riftborn. But those dreams came to a halt when her father sent her to the Makai Academy.

While Maha attending the Academy, her father was injured by a riftborn and his career came to an end. Mahaziver wanted to come home to tend to him, however she wasn't allowed too. Once the magical training began, she had to stay. When she returned home, sh found her father not the same man she left. The light in his eyes were gone. Not being able to work had really taken it's toll. When Mahaziver turned 18, she was given her daggers and armor which she cherishes. She was so proud that day and it was that same day that her father told her that her mother was still alive.

Mahaziver fled the home upset that this was kept from her, her whole life... And while she was out trying to work through her anger, a spiritus attacked the village and her father tried to fend him off. He failed and was killed in his endevour. But everyone said when he died, he was smiling.

Taking that small bit of solace, Mahaziver joined a traveling circus and using that means to get around is searching for her mother.
