Eira stepped into the bustling maul, trying to remember when she had last been here. It felt like she had never even been to one by herself. Playing with her hands as she figured out what she wanted to do with her latest allowance or pumpkin seeds. It was prom season, there where lot of sales and the best stuff was going to go first. The little ghost wanted to see what she could snag before anyone else. Floating from store to store, Eira managed to pick up some fabric and some odds and ends, enough to get her thinking about her dress. She wasn’t really one for making dress, but when she found one she was going to make it her own.
Needing to rest for just a bit the little ghost decided to take a visit to the food court. Finding a cheap drink and seat to take a moment to herself. Letting out a soft sigh of relief as her new purchases sat by her feet. Now reverting to her natural state she decided to people watch. They all seemed so busy and rushed as the made their way through the maul. Eira sat there sipping at her miced tea. Syusaki Kind of short sorry! > w<

He couldn’t remember the last time he hadn’t been at the maul. Perhaps it was time for TK to ease off, but the maul was an endless source of entertainment for him. True, the boisterous atmosphere hardly suited the skeleton boil. He was more inclined to say nothing than to say something and he was satisfied with sitting at a table in the food court with a book in his hands. Occasionally he would look up to curiously observe the other maul goers. There was something terribly amusing about watching others, trying to gauge their interests and history and relationships. It was almost like a game. It was even more interesting to encounter familiar faces. It was always interesting to watch his fellow classmates in an attempt to discover something new about them.
Then again, sometimes it was necessary to greet his classmates. Book in one hand, TK rested his cheek against the other. Golden eyes glowed dimly as he spotted a certain Eira Wen. His eyelids drooped as he examined her position—sitting with a cup of tea, bags filled with some sort of fabric (most likely clothing), sitting by herself, watching others. “Hmmm,” he hummed, tilting his head. He perked up slightly when he made eye contact with the ghost. Well, looking away suddenly would be awkward, wouldn’t it? Surprise melting away from his face, TK put on a polite smile and waved. “Hello,” he greeted, but it was hard to tell if his soft voice carried over the crowd.

The little black haired ghoul was really starting to get comfortable. A little bit of gossip and a little bit of shopping madness, it was nice to take a backseat and just watch. She gave a soft sigh, starting to notice fellow students and even some of her classmates. They all seemed to have someone they where here with, not many loners came to the maul. Only weirdos did that. The lonesome weirdo’s ribbons, having a mind of their own, started playing with some of the shrubbery around them. One of the plants hissed and then snapped at the harmless pieces of fabric. Reigning her ribbons so they wouldn’t be eaten when she heard someone greet her. Wait, what? Who did she know?
Looking across a few tables over was TK, a classmate from Utilizations of Fear with Professor Selene. Eira had a blank look on her face, wondering if she had made it all up in her head. She had never spoken to him outside of class before… maybe there was someone behind her he was trying to get. A quick look behind her and there was only a disgruntled plant. She put up one had, giving a small wave as if to test the waters. It took her even longer to speak, but she didn’t want him to feel awkward for speaking up and not even getting a hello back. “Hey… How are you, TK?” She gave a little smile, as if was nice to already kind of know him from class. Then again, little formalities where already out of the way, what where they going to talk about? She stood up grabbing her bag and her tea to float closer to her classmate, but not yet sitting down to join him. It would be easier to talk like this than across the business of the Food Court.

Her ribbons were moving on their own again, but it was a sight TK had seen in class before, so it didn’t surprise him as much as it could’ve. Rather, the skeleton boil found it amusing to watch the pieces of fabric move like snakes as a nearby plant snapped. He hid his toothy smile behind a pale hand, but his smile only grew when the ghost appeared confused. The quick look behind her did not go unnoticed by TK, and he chuckled. Who else could he be talking to? Most, if not all, of the other maul goers were caught up in their own little worlds. But they didn’t talk often in class, so he supposed the doubt was not completely unwarranted.
She waved back, albeit nervously. TK thought it best to wave at her a second time and to smile warmly. “Me? I am alright. I was just observing the maul goers walking around the stores. A bit boring, but it has its merits. In my opinion, at least.” When he watched her grab her things, he immediately slid out of his seat and reached out for her things. “Here, allow me.” Another polite smile as one arm gestured toward the empty seat next to his. “What about you? How has your visit to the maul been so far? It seems like it was a productive one, though. Which is a relief.”

Eira Wen, though hesitant as first, was easily put to ease by T.K.'s presences. He spoke in polite and warm manner, it was hard to think this boy could turn into a 50-some-odd-foot skeleton. She had never really spoken to him outside some group work in class, which was never fun for anyone... Accepting his offer she handed him her bags and then slid into the booth to join the undead boil. "Oh you were watching others as well?" It was nice to know she wasn't the only weirdo who liked to people watch.
"Yeah so far... It's prom season now so I figured I'd pick some stuff up." She smiled then started fiddling with the straw in her cup. "I'll be doing some alterations to my dress when ever they tell us what the theme of it's going to be..." be doing some alterations to the dress I bought... depending on the theme." The student council had yet to tell what the theme was going to be this year and rumors where a buzz. Even at the maul you could hear people talking about it and trying to guess what it might be. "Will you be going to prom this year?" It was her first year so Eira was more than excited to get to go. She didn't think she would be going with anyone, but the experience is what she was looking forwards too.

Smiling, he nodded. “That is correct. It is a habit of mine. I find it interesting to watch others and to infer what kind of person they are from their quirks and habits. A little bit of cold reading is not horrible, I think,” explained TK. “I am glad to find another student who also enjoys people watching. Do you do it often?”
The skeleton boil leaned in his seat, arms crossed and a hand on his chin. “Ah, yes. Prom is indeed coming up soon…” His voice drifted off a bit as he pondered silently, eyeing her bags. “By stuff, I can assume you mean items such as dress, makeup, etc.? Out of plain curiosity, do you plan to go alone or with someone?” TK nodded his head slowly, impressed at the idea of personally altering her dress to suit the prom’s theme. If he decided to go, he wasn’t sure he could successfully match whatever motif the council decided on. “Good question.” He sat up straighter, pressing his back to the chair. “At the moment, I am not sure. I chose not to go to Scarentines this year because I had little interest in it, but if I do not go to prom I feel like I would be rather…unspirited, I suppose? Something along those lines.”
His gaze drifted away from the ghost student in favor of eyeing a group of other students, a pair of monster ghouls. Eyes narrowed slightly as he curiously observed from afar.

“Hmm.” She gave a small smile while listening to him explain why he watched people. She was in a similar boat. “Yeah, I think it prepares you a little bit too… I usually terrible at talking and meeting new people, so if I can watch them a little bit before hand I feel like I know them already.” She let her words sink in and regretted what she said immediately. “Not that I’m a stalker or anything!… or because I’m talking to you means that I’ve stalked you. I mean we do have class together...” She gave a soft sigh collecting herself and slugged back into the seat. “I’m sorry…” Her eyes shifting away to anywhere except where the skeleton boil sat right next to her.
She perked back up as he mentioned prom again, almost as if giving her some kind of charge from a battery. “Yeah~ Just some little things here and there. I’ve already got my dress back at the dorm. I’ll be going alone… but hopefully seeing a friend of two there.” She really only had one friend she had planned on seeing, but more would never be argued with. “...or you mean you’ll regret it.” Eira managed a little smile and nudged the boil’s arm. She felt kind of silly being playful like this with an almost perfect stranger and then decided to return to her point. She didn't like this quickly flipping through emotions, it was starting to make her feel a little sick. “My mom says she regrets not going to hers, so even if I’m going alone I know I’m going.”
Her gaze followed his, interested in who he was learning about now.

“A valid point,” TK agreed, “For me, I merely like to learn as much as I can. It does not matter what I learn or how useful it may be. I only want to know.” He pressed his back further into his seat. “But one has to be careful about how much one knows. Cold reading looks a lot like magic to many, so we may come off as somewhat creepy.” Amused chuckling, which grew into restrained laughter. “Even if you were a stalker I would not think badly of you. Not yet, anyways. So there is no need to apologize. Regardless of whether you are a ‘stalker’ or not does not bother me in the slightest.”
The skeleton boil nodded before thin lips twisted into a wry grin when she nudged his arm. “I do not know if I could revise it as regret…” He briefly nudged her back with his own arm. “It is not to see you are taking your mother’s experiences into account. Learning from others is important.” His voice trailed off as he continued to focus on the pair of ghouls.
Now that he had someone to cold read with him, he began to softly murmur observations to himself while he folded his arms. “Both of them have bits of feathers on their arms—therefore a bird creature and most likely a monster. One of the ghouls is standing rather erect and with an open chest. She must possess a lot of confidence and energy…”

TK was so reasonable and level headed. He didn't even skip a beat when she started having a melt down about possibly being a 'stalker'. Eira felt a good bit calmer, taking in a breath and then letting her stress just slip away. The poltergeist even smiled just a little bit brighter when her nudge back. She hoped that he would decided to come to prom, even if it was just to pop in and say hi. It be another person she would see and possible dance with...
Her eyes shifted over to the girls the TK pointed out. Everything he pointed out she made a small metal note on. "The other ghoul's body language doesn't show a lack of confidence, but your right nowhere near like the first ghoul's..." She pondered with him, trying to figure out what they could about these two.

TK leaned forward, scrutinizing the two ghouls further when Eira decided to offer her own interpretation. “Is that so?” he mused, more-so to himself than to her. “Yes that is true—the other ghoul definitely is not curling in up on herself. She has a typical posture. Erect like the confident girl, but not as confident. Her chin does not jut out like hers, her strides are not powerful like hers. Rather, she appears to be often trailing behind, much like a follower and a leader.” The skeleton took a moment to pause so he could mull over possible relationship dynamics.
Golden eyes watched the pair of monsters walk into a store, which caused him to lean back and sigh. To wait, to leave, or to pick a new target, that was the question. TK turned toward Eira. “Do you have any other plans for today or are you going to accompany in people watching?”
