An orphan, he had it worse than most because of his Elven features, and even other beggars looked down upon him. When he turned 20, he stowed away on a ship to America for a new beginning, but it was not to be. Once more, he found himself in the streets and discriminated against by even the most downtrodden of humans, but he soon made friends, and despite the roughness of his life, he managed to get by. He changed cities and countries frequently, and as a result, he doesn't really identify with any sort of nationality; this is reflected in his accent, which can, oddly, be described as a mix between Japanese and South African.
