King's Terrace can be found at the foot of King's Berth, in the center of Asmodius. The paved terrace surrounds the cliff of which King's Berth sits upon. This leads off into several streets and corners of Asmodius and engineered elevators and pull-lines can take you up and around the upper levels of the Iron City. Pull-lines are found all around the city are literally hanging tight lines that you pull once, and they pull you up to a small Berth platform a story or two higher. Here you often find marches of the Iron Military.

It is here that you may also find the cities subway system, entrance at the foot of the great pillar where King's Berth stands upon.

I’m a princess cut from marble, smoother than a storm.
And the scars that mark my body, they’re silver and gold,
My blood is a flood of emeralds, precious stones,
It keeps my veins hot, the fire's found a home in me.
I move through town, I’m quiet like a fight,
And my necklace is of rope, I tie it and untie.

Cardy couldn't believe her ears, this forgotten girl was actually standing up to her! And with sass too, Cardy was shocked to say the least. She swung around and faced her with an angry stare, she wanted to slap the girl! However, she thought, she has an image to uphold, and she can't ruin it now. Breathing out calmly she slowly blinked and said "Thank you". She then crossed her arms and rolled her eyes as she added "But I could've ended that before she moved an inch".

Just then the sound of horses and whistles could be heard coming down one of the streets, the clip-clopping got louder and louder, yelling and commotion following it. Cardy sighed, more movement through the city, what next?! Someone else to pick a bone with her? Coming around the corner very suddenly was a canopy of shields, held up by soldiers surrounding someone in the middle like a snake passing through the city streets. She tried to peer within, but the wall of shields above and around the individual was too difficult to see through. The horsemen were ordering everyone to move out of the way as they rushed towards one of the lifts up to King's Landing (i REALLY need to change the name of this place dear god the copyright will hit hard xD). As they all bundled together onto the lift and pulled the gates closed behind them, Lamia was lucky enough to catch a glimpse through a momentary crack in the shields. From it she saw a young man staring out, it looked like Crimson cloth and golden armour was around his neck, and he had mid-length Ginger hair, a beautiful shade of golden-red. She ahdn't a clue who he was, she never really paid much attention to anywhere outside of Zakernand. Though she had heard news about the Red City being in commotion recently, rumours about a new heir to the throne or something? Ugh, she couldn't care about Royalty. But she supposed if the throne had been empty for centuries then it must be a big deal. What interested her though was how the Guildeam would react to a new leader, their government would be compromised.

This is the start of how it all ends
They used to shout my name, now they whisper it
I’m speeding up and this is the red, orange, yellow flicker beat sparking up my heart

Euphemia

Her mentor bit her tongue and turned to her with searing frustration in her eyes. She half-heartily showed her gratitude, and then turned crossing her arms and rolling her eyes. Euphemia didn't expect Cardy to respect her and left it at that before they got into a fight. Anyway, her attention was turned away from Cardy once she heard a stamped of stallions coming their way. Overhead, a heap of shields that concealed the guards holding them appeared. They rode along in an organized, yet chaotic manor while pushing civilians aside. The girl had to stand on her tip toes and shade her eyes from the immense amount of light reflecting off the shields. Unlike Cardy, she wasn't fortunate enough to see the man they were protecting as they squeezed onto the lift. Without permission from Cardy, she decided to slip her away through the crowd in order to get a better view before the gates closed.

As she neared, through the slits in the shields, she saw the exotic man and remembered Cardy saying something about Royalty. Euphemia wasn't sure how the ranking system for people worked in this town, but it was obvious that this man wasn't allowed to associate with others. However, she had an urge to invade the royal grounds before the gates closed. Maybe there was a chance he could help her and Cardy. Since he was rich, it was possible he could help her get to the summit and find Cardy's book if they did something for him in return. Kind like what they did for a bounty. Euphemia had no idea how different the two circumstances were. She wasn't to far from the gate and there was still quite a bit of space for her to jump through. "Hey, Mister!" she shouted and waved her arms.

"Well, that's-" Cardy began, brushing off the whole scene but Euphemia was shouting out to the mystery man! Cardy flipped round in shock "You can't just shout hey mister! He obviously doesn't have time for you!" she exclaimed, but Arwren did hear her, and he looked through the gap at her for a breath moment too, half with sadness and half with an almost false looking pride. Then the sudden clink of gears and metal began turning as chains rattled and began pulling them up to the heart of the palace. The palace has been a tourist attraction for years, open to the public for some few centuries now. However with rumours of an heir being found and the Guildeam wanting that person to be kept in utmost secrecy, it has lead to a small portion of it to become strictly private and guarded at all hours. Cardy watched the cage ascend.

Arwren stood silently in the middle of all the guards, and after a few moments of silence he said "A girl saw me". At first he got no reply, and he blinked a few times before repeating himself, "A girl saw me through your embarrassing attempt at hiding me."
"You need to be kept in complete protection and secrecy at all times my lord." one of the guards replied, not budging. But Arwren rolled his honey-golden eyes and stared at their backs, watching the descending rooftops around him. "I've been the Lord Commander of Asmodius for almost decade and suddenly the rest of the Guildeam thinks i must be hidden because of Royal Blood. I could have got here with less attention by myself."
"Someone could attempt to at-"
"Attack me? I've been attacked ever since I became the Lord Commander. I believe the Guildeam wants to keep me under control"
"the Guildeam wants what's best-"
"Under who do you take orders?" Arwren asked, getting irritated. The guard replied "To you, my Lord."
"Then you shall do as I say from now and not the Guildeam. They only care about their own cities and beliefs anyway." he sighed and looks out into the horizon as they city below becomes a concrete canopy.

Cardy let out a great sigh and smothered her face, "He's just some randomer Euphemia, hardly someone that could be of any help to us if that's what you're thinking". But what would they know, no one in the world knows who is being kept so secretly apart from the Guildeam.

Euphemia

Cardy wanted to dissuade from the whole ordeal seeing as the man didn't have time for the common folk. That didn't stop her though, what did stop her was the sadness in the male's eyes. The expression was only exposed for a moment before the shields re-positioned themselves and the lift activated. Euphemia stepped back at the metal gates closed with a loud creek followed by a slam. There was no way anyone was going to infiltrate these walls anytime soon. She gently placed a hand on the metal and glanced back to see the crowd disburse. A lot of them walked into the open section of the palace area, but the main attraction was concealed behind the gates. Cardy caught up to her and buried her face into her hand while reassuring her that the man was a nobody. Euphemia didn't want to believe that because the look in his eyes cried out for freedom. What if he was a tragic prisoner that is being held for ransom or just a lonely prince longing for friendship. Either way, it was her duty to help him so she vowed she would attempt to invade the palace tonight. She turned to Cardy and said, "If he is what you say than I guess there is no reason to stay. Let's go find an inn to rest in for the night." she suggested and jerked her head which was a signal for Cardy to lead the way.

Euphemia was catching onto the basic uses of conversation quite well, she adapted very well actually. An empty vessel was like a sponge she guessed, taking in all the information is can and quickly putting it to use. Cardy raised a brow at how quickly she agreed with her though, she honestly hadn't expected it and after cocking one hand on her hip and shrugged it off and said "that's good then, a good night's rest is exactly what I need... now... where to go" she said. Cardy looked left and right and had no idea which way lead to an Inn.

After a short while the two did however come find a place to stay, it wasn't too expensive either and it was decent, they had individual rooms, Cardy insisted, but they joined each other with a door in their mutual wall. When Cardy got in her room she sat down on her bed and let the blanket mould around her shape as she let out a sigh. After a few moments she dug around her pocket and uncurled her fingers, revealing the black runes she had used earlier to attempt searching for the holy book she so desperately wanted. She stared down at them, and images of why she wanted it so badly flashed into her mind, they made her grit her teeth tightly together. She then whispered to herself, "I will find it... no matter what the cost..." before closing her hand again and replacing the runes. She then heard the scatter of something outside, and although it was quite dark outside now, she still looked out the window out of curiosity, the glass was quite blurry, perhaps misted over on the outside, probably with soot or dust from all the moving machines and carriages outside during the day. Turning her nose up at it she turned around and headed back to her bed. "I s'pose this place isn't so bad after all... although the sheets could be a bit cleaner..." she said to herself, then admiring her dress whilst adding "not to mention this dress must surely be too small...". After her time of self-analysis was over, she found herself glaring at the window again when she heard the sound of gears or machinery grating or sliding or something. It made her roll her eyes and wonder how on earth she'll get any sleep tonight.

Meanwhile, Arwren was sitting one of the Royal Chambers of the Royal Palace, he was deep in one of the sections that was closed off to all the public for several days now. Guards patrolled outside every exit and kept him safe. But with each step he heard them take outside he was reminded how much of a prisoner he felt. He dropped himself on the luxurious bed and flopped back on it, arms spread out and muttering "this had better be worth it.... the things I do for a good man." he then shook his head and sighed.

Euphemia

She followed Cardy around silently until they found a standard inn that was rather cheap. Her guardian requested separate rooms because of their petty dispute earlier, but she didn't complain. Dragging herself up to the room, she shut herself in quickly without saying a word to Cardy. The woman retreated to her room as well so it worked out for both of them, and besides, a wall was all that divided them. Euphemia trotted over to the dull colored bed and flopped down on it sighing. Her long white hair fanned out around her and one red eye peer out to examine her surroundings. The walls matched the color of the floor ironically and the only other pieces of furniture in the room were two dressers and a lamp. The girl didn't expect a royal suite considering how much money they had between the two of them. She sat up and glanced over to the grimy window seeing nothing but darkness consume the area. However, the night and betrayal of Cardy's loyalty wouldn't stop her from saving the prince she saw today. Then again, Cardy wasn't terribly trustworthy to being with and she seemed to not care about her agenda to much. Even if she ended up hating her after she returns, she believes she can live with criticism.

Euphemia relaxed for a bit and waited until she couldn't hear any movement from Cardy's room. Although when she was listening through the thin wall for silence, she did catch a buzzing hum from outside. People might mistaken the sound as rotating gears, but it was so distinct. She knew she had hear it somewhere before. Her anticipation grew and she couldn't wait any longer so she got up and tip-toed to the door. Opening it gingerly, she shut it soundlessly and cautiously walked down the hall and out of the inn. Immediately, she ran down the street to investigate the sound and happened upon an alleyway. There sat a blue telephone box that had bold white letters written on the top of it. She has definitely seen this thing before and without hesitation she approached it. Her hand stretched out and hovered every so closely towards the door to the booth.

"Sometimes the only choices you have are bad ones. But you still have to choose"

As Cardy lay back on her bed, staring up at the ceiling and trying to sleep amidst her constant thinking and calculating, Euphemia did what she did best - wandered. She followed the groaning sound and as she neared the street that it came from the familiar "clonk" echoed mysteriously as if something metal and hollow had just landed on the ground. The mysterious blue box had gained no other attention and was completely ignored by anyone else who could possibly be awake at this time, but Euphemia neared it. The box seemed to stand with a self-righteousness... as if it had a consciousness. That was when she outstretched her hand towards the handle, but just before she could touch it the door swung open and a tall man with well-matured features stood on the other side. At first he ignored her and looked over her head before eyes like a wise old owl stared down at her, eyebrows narrowing most curiously down at her. "You!" he said quite loudly and excitedly, yet somehow bored at the same time, "You're in my way!". With that he closed the door again in an instant and seemingly vanished within the small box. But then a few moments after he swung the door open again and with a confused expression asked her very quickly, "You wouldn't happen to know if this is Occulas would you?" but then he tilted his head as if to have answered the question himself, "smells like Occulas. Are you still here?! Good" and then he ran back into the box without closing the door. Within was a room that was bigger on the inside, metallic walls and a round platform in the middle, books and black chalk boards lay sprawled out along the walkway on the outside, up the steps and below the platform. In the centre was a glowing mainframe.

After he grabbed something from the middle he ran back towards the door, his red and black coat bridling behind him. "Now!" he said, rushing out and closing the door behind him as he stood behind Euphemia, "It's nothing, nothing really!" but now he began to speak to himself. "Definitely, sure. 90 percent? Maybe 80%... Hm, Really?! That's quite low, I should be more sure. Perhaps 50% sure then, you just lost 30%, not good". He then looked down to Euphemia and said "Look" as he held a finger up to seemingly nowhere, "Question, why do we give into curiousness even though we might be afraid of what we'll find? Conjecture: because its instinct. Question: Why can't we stop this instinct?... Answer... because it keeps us alive."

And with that he stepped forward and held out his sonic screwdriver, a metal object that glowed green at its tip and made a buzzing noise as he held it up, as if to be analysing the air.

Euphemia

The humming of the booth that drew no attention from outsiders just peeked her interest more. She had to know what it contained and why did she remember it so vividly. As she barely touched the handle, the door swung open almost hitting her if she didn't react so quickly by jumping back. In the darkness of the interior loomed a tall manicured gentleman whom looked right past her as if she was invisible. Well, she was rather small so she assumed a man of his height would easily miss her but then he did notice her. He leaned in, furrowed his brow, and shouted excitedly. For a dull looking man he was pretty lively, yet he changed his mood within a few seconds as if he had become another person. Slamming the door in her face, Euphemia twitched at the booming noise and cautious examined her surrounds. Maliciously no one heard it. Anyway, he told her she was in the way but she bravely took matters into her own hands and proceeded to open the door again. However, her efforts were foiled again when he opened the door and if this was Occulas. He landed here shouldn't he know or did he follow the wrong coordinates?

Euphemia was confused because the man answered the question himself and she couldn't tell if he wanted her there or not. He ran back inside which was beginning to become a routine, but this time the door was open. Without hesitation she stepped in and called out, "Sir?" her voice bounced off the metallic walls. The inside was a mystery because it was ten times the size of the exterior. Books and chalkboards were scattered all of the grid floor, and in the middle there was a control panel. That was the one this she recognized the most, but the question was, when in the past life was here?

He scooped up some long pen light object and lead her back outside as he whispered calculations to himself. She desperately wanted to interrupt him, but he acknowledged her quicker and quizzed her. Euphemia swore she failed because she could answer back and that's when he pulled out the object. The tip of it glowed a warm green and it buzzed light. That's when memories drifted back and she couldn't help, but spill them out all at once. "That thing...its called the...the...sonic screwdriver! And your ship, I went to the moon in it! A man like you was there, and so were other people, but I don't remember who they are. And there was a girl with the guy like you. Her name was...her name was...Clara, I think." the albino was lost in thought at the moment trying to sort out the bank of memories.

After the mysterious man had finished his ramblings and finally gave Euphemia time to speak, and she was coming out with nothing to do with what he was speaking about. He half wanted to tell her to be quiet whilst he got on with his mission, but instead he was found narrowing his brows in curiosity. But that turned into confusion and attention as he began to bring his face closer and closer down to her own, staring into her eyes by the end of her sentence. "Clara?" he quickly asked, staring into her eyes, crows feet on either side of his eyes exaggerating his age. "She is busy" he said, his eyes darted from side to side before back to hers. He spoke more quietly now than before since h was so close. "And I don't remember you..." eh said off the top of his memory, then stepping back and standing up straight, his eyes looked down at her as he straightened his jacket and proudly, yet quietly said "I'm the Doctor - And you appear to be somebody I cannot remember nor work out just yet but who cares that's a distraction! Come on, I need you help!" he then ran past Euphemia and to the edge of the alleyway, his head dramatically looked round each corner before he looked back and gave an odd look at the bewildered girl, "Well don't just stand there, you stand there you'll get cold perhaps even a disease or something in this kind of place!" he then said the next words with a raise of his eyebrows at each word, he said "You - ME, up there. Now" he pointed up to the Royal Palace, even the tourist sections are closed at this hour.

And all this time Cardy was unaware of Euphemia's little adventure beginning. This would be one hell of a morning in the dawn to come.

Euphemia

Euphemia leaned back as the Doctor leaned in getting ever closer to her face. Compared to his, her face was smooth and glowing with youth while his was rough and wrinkled. He still had a certain charm to him that wouldn't fade away and could be seen in the glimmer of his eyes. He questioned Clara's name as if he knew her and ironically he did bust he insinuated that she was busy. This confused Euphemia because when she blurted out the sudden rampage of memories, she said there was a guy just like him. She never said it was him. The girl didn't realize that the Doctors were reincarnation and that's why he knew Clara. His eyes moved to the side quickly like a chameleon, but he never distanced himself from her. Quietly, he announced that he did not know her and she didn't know why he would considering they are barely acquaintances. Finally giving her some space, he straightened himself up and his jacket before introducing himself. He called himself a doctor, but she wanted to know his full name, "Doctor who?" sadly, she was interrupted at his train of thought and left it at Doctor since he needed her assistance.

He rushed past her to the end of the alleyway, and popped his head out like a spy. Euphemia didn't understand his logically and he even told her to move over to him before she caught a cold or some other inflection. The night air was humid due to the cities location and there was no diseases here that she knew of. Shaking her head, she ran up to him and he turned to her demanded that they head up the Royal Palace. Instead of arguing, she smirked and played ago because that's where she wanted to go. Why he wanted to go up there to would be answered once they get there. "Okay, how do we get up there? There is a wall surrounding the palace with guards stationed at every side."

To her question of his name, he merely replied "precisely!"

But as he explained to her that they need to get up to the palace, she only replied to him with bad news to which the Doctor sighed. "Uh, you're useless" he commented, putting a palm to his face and pulling it down his chin in a bid for thought. He began to speak to himself, "Hm, can't take the TARDIS it will be too loud, if there's any defences it could set them off too. We need to sneak in. Robbed a bank before, could do it again im sure". He then finally looked back down to Euphemia and said "You, what's your name?"

Once she gave her name to him he responded "right" before pivoting and walking out to the street. "I bet you're wondering why I need you, no one else, just you, out of all this whizzing... boring... hm. Everyone's asleep, that's good." its as if he was just coming to understand certain obvious pieces of information. "Anyway! You're the first person i saw, so i chose you. Sound good? I need to speak with ah uh... uh... Erin? Awon? Guy with ginger hair" he gestured to his own discolouring hair. "Do you know if there's a way we can get past the guards?

Euphemia

The albino must have been correct about something, although the praise didn't last long. Apparently, she was useless to him now and she frowned at his negative attitude. He rubbed his aging face roughly and ranted to himself once more about how to invade the palace. She was sure it wasn't on the same level as robbing a bank, but she didn't intend to argue. While pouting, he asked for her name and she reluctantly obliged him before they set off down the street. Euphemia scuttled behind him trying to match his incredibly fast pace. He began speaking very condescending to her, and it wasn't necessary because she could already tell why she was choose for obvious reasons. Sighing loudly and rolling her eyes, she tuned him out until he mentioned the prince. She didn't know his name, but the description of the ginger hair was unforgettable. Again, why he wanted an audience with him was beyond her. Anyway, he wondered if she had an idea to get past the guards and for a while she was silent.

"The wall around the palace is around forty feet tall. I'm sure there's guards patrolling the top as well. However, they seem like they're around the clock guards and get little to know sleep. Maybe there's some way we can put them all to sleep. Tell, what can the sonic screwdriver do? Can it emit high pitched sound waves?" she was no to something, but he could totally debunk her idea if the screwdriver doesn't have that ability.

"Sometimes the only choices you have are bad ones. But you still have to choose"

The news wasn't exactly what the Doctor wanted to hear when he asked about a way into the palace high above. Cogs in his mind seemed to shop with a lack of excitement. With the news that they were always stationed he wasn't sure if that was a good or a bad thing. When she asked about the sonic screwdriver though she seemed to have pretty solid plan if it wasn't for "It'll need some power boosting for that, but otherwise that's quite an excellent idea". The Doctor pondered his brain for ideas, but eventually he said "Let's get to the lift and work out the problem from there".

The two of them didn't have to walk far to find themselves at the foot of the giant cliff that stood in the centre of Asmodius. It was once a mountain that the city was build around. They stopped at a corner nearby as if someone would suspect they were up to no good if they stood in the open. "If we could just get a little bit closer..." the Doctor mumbled, staring over at the lift and the guards, and without further ado he ran off to another corner that was far closer to the lift and it's controls, from there he pointed his sonic screwdriver as it began to buzz. After a few seconds he pulled back and hid in the shadows, just as a guard asked the other "hey, did you hear that?"
"Probably another cicada."
"Wait, no, do you hear that?" much to their amazement the lift was automatically moving and coming down to ground level, but at a worrying speed. The two frantically tried to stop it and pull levers but nothing was working until the Doctor pointed his screwdriver again and caused it to cease and lock up just before hitting the ground. The guards were confused and beat, "we need to find an engineer" they agreed, leaving the lift to the open. As soon as they were gone he looked over to Euphemia and gestured for her to come over quickly. The two of them got on as he set the lift back in motion back up. During their ride up, that took several minutes, the Doctor said "that was surprisingly easy, this guards aren't all that intelligent, it'll get them killed one day, anyway. What were you doing out in the streets alone? That's dangerous, and outright stupid frankly" he continued to speak to himself during that last part.

Upon reaching the top, the Doctor realised there would be more guards, "ah... now, I don't have a plan for this" he admitted, looking to Euphemia hoping she would have an idea as to how to get by these few guards on the other side of the lift doors without being seen, or... without them having chance to see them. The lift would be hitting the top in a few moments and before he broke his stare at Euphemia he whispered, "well?! You look like the go-in sort-em-out type!"

Euphemia

It wasn't surprising that the Doctor turned down her due to the sonic screwdriver unable to exert that much power. Euphemia sighed even though he commemorated her for the idea as he suggested one of his own. Heading to the lift would make more since seeing that it is the only way over the wall. It's not like the gates were going to open anytime soon unless the prince or some higher authority commanded it. Following him, they found themselves hiding beside the infamous landmark of Asmodius. The whole city was built around it and compared to the palace it would be a prefect view from up top. The Doctor peered out and complained that they weren't close enough, but if they got closer wouldn't they be spotted? Anyway, two dim witted guards operated the lift, however, with his device, the Doctor was able to active the machine. At first, the guards assumed it was an insect they were hearing because of the buzzing noise. When they realized what was happening, they panicked as the lift seemed to accelerate downwards. Euphemia got caught up in the moment as she worried about their safety. The Doctor was a cautious man though, and stopped the lift before it hit the bottom.

In their confusion, they abandoned their position in the hopes that someone could fix its sudden "malfunction". He occupied the lift and urged her to board as they ascended with the help of the sonic screwdriver. The wind thrashed her long white hair all around and she turned to the Doctor while he spoke to her. She laughed at the dumbfounded nature of the guards, but their stupidity was a threat to their existence. Poor bastards. He switched the subjected and asked why she was out so late, plus it's dangerous and stupid. She frowned because she could say the same for him. As she thought of something pretentious to say, they were nearing the lift doors quicker than expected. At this rate they would be caught and he left it to her to get them out of this mess.

She still was new to fighting and couldn't take the guards down by herself. What they needed was a diversion. Scanning around, she noticed a stack of metal barrels complied on the edge of one side of the wall. Inside the barrels were probably food and beverage supplies that could be easily accessed. Without much thought, she grabbed the Doctor's wrist and forced him to point the sonic screwdriver in that direction. The barrels rattled and toppled over with ease causing the guards to flock to them quickly. This distraction was their chance to get through the doors unseen. "Go!" she commanded.
