This was it.
Ofelia had spent the better part of a week looking at different buildings in town - the houses, that is - and she'd finally come across two houses close enough together that if someone built a walkway from one wall to another it could be a duplex. Or whatever that word was for a building that was two houses in one connected by a narrow space. The houses themselves didn't look too bad when she'd marched inside of them, the floors supporting her weight and the walls not too full of holes, and so the redhead had decided once and for all.
This was where she wanted to live on the Island.
This was also where she was going to as a certain Mist Hunter if he didn't mind being a pseudo-roommate. Because technically they wouldn't be living together, just in a connected house thing, and Ofelia could really use his company. She was thinking about asking a certain Life hunter to live in her side too, if she wanted, but considering her memories were a little fuzzy about an attack and maybe threatening people's lives and all that.
Rue smirked inside her skull and Ofelia did her best to shrug that off too. The voice of the Boo Hag was not welcomed now because the redheaded Sun hunter had gotten used to the silence. Now that the noise was back it was frightening.
But that was all beside the point and Ofelia took one last look at the place she was going to live before she headed back to the dorms. There had to be a way to approach this, to ask Before if he wanted to live somewhat together. The nature of their relationship was good friends at best, or so she thought, and the feelings she harbored weren't exactly out in the open or returned. One-sided as it were they happened to be and Ofelia was sadly content enough to let them remain that way. If she and Before could live together even just as friends it was enough. Her footsteps carried him to his dorm room (she didn't even know if he was in) and slowly she raised a hand to knock.
Of course the normally brave Ofelia completely backed down and instead got a piece of paper from somewhere and wrote a message on it. Her handwriting and spelling were beyond compare.
LIVE TOGETHER?
CHECK YES
CHECK NO
Ofelia was six all over again. The note was slid under the door and the sun hunter was about to turn and leave when she figured that just that alone might be a bad thing. So she wrote another note and shoved it under too.

What Before found waiting for him in his room was pretty much barely legible to the Misty. And while he got a vague idea of what she wanted him to agree or disagree with, Before thought it would be best to address this in person. Someone has to be the "mature" one and it might as well be him.
...
...
Ahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!
Okay, maybe not mature but Before strongly felt that this was something he had to deal with face to face. His earlier talk with his Bro only made him all the more sure. So he sent her a message (and hoped to God she actually had her phone with her) asking her to meet him.Rown Text to DinahDiiiiiiiiinaaaaaaaaah!! I GOTS AN ANSWER FOR YOU~ Meet me by the beach? Y/N?

Ofelia was debating on going and finding either a dummy or a trainee (they were interchangeable in her mind) to beat up on to relieve her nerves when her phone buzzed in the satchel against her hip. Pulling it out and looking it over the redhead blanched two shades of caramel mocha as she noticed who the sender was. He'd gotten to those papers a hell of a lot faster than she thought he would and now he wanted to answer her face to face. Ofelia would have been completely okay if he'd just slid a note back under her door, preferably the same note with a box checked. Then if the answer had been negative she could have easily shrugged it off and maybe cried as she destroyed that secondary building.
Wait what.
Moving along Ofelia looked at the phone a few more times and felt the need to destroy a person or object sort of ebbed. The best thing to do at this point was to get it over with and just move along. Maybe if he said no she could offer having Tori move in with them to further explain she just meant it as roommates? It wasn't like the redhead was honestly expecting anything, she knew where Before's heart lay and she knew very much that it wasn't with her. Still she liked both of them very very much so no harm in wanting to be near them right? Rue cackled in the back of her skull and Ofelia's stomach hurt just a little.
The phone was closed as the teen opted to head to the beach directly instead of responding but she was more than halfway there when she remembered that the beach was huge and unless he specified she might not find him on their first try. Getting her phone out (and trying not to drop it) Ofelia sent back a reply as she marched towards whatever the outcome out be.Huni Pi Text to Clover heading your way what is your location on beach

Before wasn't sure where exactly he was at the beach, but he figured the cluster of nearby rocks could be used as some sort of landmark. So he took a quick picture and sent that along with several smiley emoticons. Yes, he was emote-spamming Ofelia but that wasn't a problem for either of them, was it? He sat down on the sandy ground, idly tracing random shapes into the sand with his finger. Silly little doodles that looked nothing more than squiggles but were, in fact, some form of floor plan he was mapping out. Of course, the tide would come over and wash it away each time. But that was fine too.

The sound of someone loudly explaining that they found something could be heard in the distance amid the cry of the gulls. Ofelia was doing her best to look at the photo she'd been sent and match up the landmarks but navigating had never really been her strong suit. She tripped a few times, rolled several more, but eventually ended up shouting happily as she found the exact spot.
"Ah hasaaaa....oh wait." Oh yes that meant Before was actually there and now Ofelia was suddenly a lot more sheepish than she had been. The usually boisterous redhead made her way over to her friend and planted the best grin she could on her features as she prepared to address him. "Eyyy Clover! So ya got mah message? Whatcha think 'bout it?"
It was best to act like it was just something super casual right? Not something she'd thought about for weeks?

The Misty glanced back and beamed at the sight of the red-head. He waved at her and promptly stood, managing to keep upright despite the sudden rush of water against his feet. "Yup yup! Totes got your message and I totes think we should! Move in together I mean!" This pretty much determined Before's choice between which girl he'd pursue, not that he'd ever tell Ofelia that. Before was stupid among other things but he wasn't going to do or say anything that would hurt the young woman. Not on purpose at least.
"Does that mean we're gonna go house-hunting now?" he asked, still grinning widely.

Ofelia was a bit shell shocked and stared at Before for a moment or two. Eventually though her face turned rather...womanly, or at least girlish, and a smile of pure happiness that she couldn't hide decorated her features. It was very evident that what he'd said meant more than the world to her and it took the hunter a moment to kick herself in the brain and get off that track. Just because they'd live together didn't mean they'd live together.
She was too full of herself if she thought otherwise.
"Actually Ah found a house in town that Ah thought would work - it's actually two houses, jus' really close tagether. Ah'd live in one an' ya can live in the other an' we can make a walkway or sommin' ta connect 'em." The way she said it made it clear she just wanted him to think it was an offer to be roommates. Ofelia didn't want to press her feelings on him, on anyone. Her feelings weren't anything good, no one deserved them.
The redhead took a few steps closer. "We can go check 'em out now if ya'd like? Ah...honestly didn't expect ya ta agree so fast."

What initial excitement Before had about the prospect of living together with Ofie seemed to have been misplaced when he found out she hadn't meant together together. "O-oh, separate houses? That... sounds like upkeep's gonna be a real chore if we lived in two different houses." Maybe he was a tiny bit disappointed that he wasn't going to be living under the same roof as Ofelia. And, honestly, maintenance of a house all by one's self did not sound very appealing to him. It wasn't because of laziness, Before would slog through it out of necessity, but, well, he rather liked the thought of knowing Ofelia was just one wall away from him at night.
"Do they have furniture and stuff in them?" he asked, trying to mask his real thoughts and not come across as some sort of perv.

"Well Ah fig'rd ya'd want ta share yer space wit' like Tori or someone, right?" Ofelia felt the words sting as they left her throat but she bit them back. "Or we can have one house as a livin' house an' the other as an entirely converted kitchen or sommin'." That would actually be really cool, an entire house dedicated towards nothing but baking, but Ofelia didn't....well. "Also though if yer worried Ah could always clean yer half. Ah was raisin' mahself ta be a bride yanno."
The redhead stretched her arms above her head and then promptly turned as red as a tomato. "Ah.....uhh...Ah mean well like cleanin' an' OKAY NO there is some furniture in there Ah think Ah saw a large bed in one'a the rooms?" Topic change! "We could go check it out?"

Yes, Silly Before, ignore the part about Tori. Focus instead on a subject you and Ofelia can both agree on without trodding on anyone's feelings. Take the path of least resistance, you've always been good at that, and it's worked wonderfully for you, hasn't it? Vanna's sarcasm was distinct in his head, but Before argued back that it had indeed worked wonderfully for him.
He was still alive, wasn't he?
"You'd totes make the best bride, Dinah," Before beamed, slinging an arm around the younger woman's shoulders. "And I like the idea of one house being our own private kitchen! Like, we can have some parts converted into a pantry, and maybe even make it a cafe or bistro or something!" he chattered happily, squeezing her against him despite the awkward angle their two-inch height difference made.
Okay, stay calm. Stay calm, it's too soon to let her know your feelings. She'll think you just got swept up by the moment and junk," he reminded himself.Rown After ten million years ;A; I am the worst RPer ever, I am so sorry.

"A cafe sounds pretty cool." Ofelia was doing her best not to burn herself up at Before holding her close. It felt weird to have affection that she hadn't initiated against someone (she was the one who did all the hugs mostly). "It'd be nice ta share sommin' wit'cha. Ah've always kinda wanted to be wit' ...."
And then she remembered he said she'd make the best bride and her speaking sort of stammered off. Most girls didn't want to become brides but for Ofelia it had sort of been a life-long goal. Become a bride, have kids. On the Island she could probably only do the first but the second was swapped out for killing things. That was acceptable.
"Shall we get on then wit' it? Lookin' in on the houses Ah picked a'course." Ofelia leaned in more against Before but tried to play it off like the uneven ground provided by the sand made standing more difficult. She was exactly a subtle bird about anything.Huni Pi it's all good we need more cake in our lives
