Ofelia had been to the mainland and, instead of buying things like clothes and other items that were probably needed a lot, she'd gotten bags of food and fruit. It had taken her several trips in fact to get everything back over, a good chunk of all the money she'd saved now gone, but there was a pleasing factor knowing that the redhead now had a personal store of items to use and a place inside the town that she was planning to store them in.
For the starter though she had fruit she needed to get on eating. The vendor she'd gotten them from barely spoke English and considering Ofelia didn't speak it either (apparently) had handed her something and it looked like they were...orange? Ofelia was pleased with oranges, citrus was an amazing thing after all, and she'd sat herself in the middle of the commons floor with several scattered about.
They were going to be eaten and eaten right now. Also maybe made into juice but mostly eaten.

Tuck loved to eat.
When he wasn't working out, or training, or dealing with the various duties he had to take care of as a trainee, Tuck was eating. He was like a food vacuum, a very indiscriminate one - moldy bread or moldy cheese would have the offensive bits removed, almost sour milk would be slurped with gusto, slightly wilted vegetables, didn't matter. Tuck would eat just about anything.
So when he came across Ofie in the commons room, the first thing Tuck noticed was the fruit.
All that beautiful fruit.
"Heeeeeeeeeeey, friend," Tuck grinned as he slid into the room and sat cross-legged next to the redhead, "you wanna share?"

Ofelia was halfway into eating an orange, peel and all, when someone addressed her as friend. Instantly the happy puppy radar in her head went off and Ofelia was ready for anything and everyone. She looked to see who it was, a dude she'd only seen around before a few times, and a grin spread over her orange-juiced face. "Help yerself. Ah bought 'em 'cause when we were out killin' ponies ya mentioned 'em."
Yes, Ofelia remembered that far back.

"Yeah, that ********' sun, remember?"
Tuck did.
He scooped up an orange and peeled it with a quickness before mashing the orange into his mouth. He didn't separate it into slices, or worry about the pith, or seeds, or anything except for getting that orange into his mouth as fast as possible.
"Name's Tuck," he mumbled around a mouthful of juicy orange. Some juice dribbled down his chin. "Can't remember if I introduced myself before or not."

Ofelia just did the same thing except peels were good eating. "Ya didn't. S'nice ta meetcha Tuck, name's Ofelia. Most 'round here jus' call me Ofie. Yer free ta call as ya wish."
The orange got chewed, it got chewed nicely. "Man these are good. Glad ya mentioned 'em."

Tuck was well on his way to decimating a second orange.
"Ofie," he spoke around a wad of orange, "nice to meet you too." He couldn't help but grin.
And then he was squinting.
"You're a Sun."

Ofelia turned to look at Tuck and had her cheeks poking out with orange. These were too good and she was probably going to pee orange later. Taking a few chews she swallowed as much as she could that she knew wouldn't result in her choking to death. "Mmm yup. Full on sun hunter, sup?"
Mostly she wanted to know if that was a problem?

Tuck had learned that Suns were usually... handled with care. And so with that thought in mind, the tall Moon merely smiled and slowly peeled another orange.
For Ofie.
"Jus' wonderin'. Is it rude to ask what happened to your eye?"

"S'all cool." Ofelia grinned. When it came to suns she was pretty damn rad so long as her weapon wasn't out. Which it wasn't.
Then Tuck asked about her eye and winked at him. "Got it stabbed out wit'a pitchfork when Ah was six. Mah brother did it." Asking was not rude at all it seemed. "Ah had a fake eye fer a while while Ah got here but Ah kinda lost it."
Man she sometimes missed that glass eye. "Yer a Moonie, right? Or Misty?"

"Moon."
Tuck leaned back on his elbows and crossed his legs at the ankles.
"A pitchfork?" He grimaced. "S'rough. How long you been here on the island?"

"Moons are awesome." Ofelia had quite a few moons she liked. "An' yeah it kinda sucked. Brother left me fer dead under'a pile'a straw too, really hate the smell'a that stuff now." Ofelia was on like her third orange no regrets.
"An' fer time, uh...a little over a year Ah guess? Ah'm really bad at keepin' track'a time, Ah do know we passed mah birthday so yeah. Over a year. Yer fresh pod?"

"Six months or so. My sister popped at the same time. I didn't even know she was gonna be here, so imagine my surprise when I woke up an' there was Natasha - she goes by Gnat - askin' me what I'm doin' there."
Tuck shook his head.
"Why'd he leave you there? Seems kinna ******** up."

"Eh, Ah guess he got scared? People tend ta freak out when a siblin' is spewin' blood eerywhere like'a burst soda can." Ofelia chewed the orange bits she had in her mouth before debating on fishing into the bag behind her. It had peaches and man she loved peaches. Hmm, choices. "Plus he was like nine Ah think Ah don't remember how old he was."
At the mention of his sister though she brightened up. "Oh, that's awesome that she's here. Means ya don't gotta be alone, right? But it could also be bad cause ya'd worry 'bout her on missions an' if she dies. What group she in? She a moonie too?"

"She's a Sun," Tuck peered into the bag that Ofie was rummaging through, all thoughts diverting to food.
"You know how to cook?"

"Cook? Yup. Ah can cook an' bake pretty much anythin' an' everythin' ya can think of. Been cookin' since Ah got here, mostly feed mahself an' anyone who happens in." Ofelia pulled a peach out and looked at it before tossing it over to Tuck. "Why, ya hungry?"
She totally didn't want to mention that by being in Sun his sister had a really high death toll rate.
