Hush was on her usual stroll, a routine she rarely if ever broke. But tonight she didn't quite look like she was enjoying the swamp's music. Her brother had paid her a visit earlier in the day, and while she loved her brother and didn't mind his company, he made a remark just before he left. It had bothered her somewhat. While she was sure he didn't mean any particular malice behind it (though even she had to admit he took after their mother in their ability to enjoy being mean spirited), it still got to her.
So deep in thought and so caught up in his words she was that Hush ended up straying from her usual path. Eventually, as dusk settled over the land, she would come to realize she was lost.

Sleep was elusive as night fell. It had been a long day though hardships had not occurred and she felt the want to slip into slumber keenly. Thoughts, however, were rampant: she had not helped at all today.
It wasn't right and she blew out a sigh. She made sure the swan nestled on her back, its head buried into her hair -- a strange place to sleep, was secure before she rose. It was with careful movements that she stretched her limbs and then headed off. There must be someone to help out in the swamp tonight. Just one.
