Personality: Jon is quiet, withdrawn, sullen; he lives alone near Palisade, inviting no guests and accepting no visitors save those who seek out his healing skills. He tries to drive people away with his curt nature, preferring solitude over the pain of companionship. He is extremely closeted, and prefers an asexual lifestyle rather than tearing out his heart by attempting a life with a woman. He dares not seek out a male lover, knowing full well where that would lead.
Skills: A hedge witch, focused on healing, though practiced in conventional healing methods as well, using them to aid his abilities. Very skilled on the violin.
Strengths: Patient, kind despite his gruff nature, intelligent.

Background: Jon is the youngest of three boys, born to a middle-class family that is respected by their peers. His older brother Peter went into the army, while Landon threw himself into his studies, intent on making great discoveries. Both brothers teased Jonatan (then a shy but cheerful and warm child) for his abilities, calling them strange and unnatural and leaving him self-conscious about it all, despite his mother's gentle encouragement.
Once he became a young teen, he discovered another male hedge witch, Graham Colbran, and apprenticed himself to the man, soaking up everything he could possibly learn. Unfortunately for Jon, Graham was a sadist of a man who harmed as much as he healed, something Jon walked in on one day. Jon fled and withdrew into himself, choosing instead to hide away from general society rather than risk getting his heart ripped again.
