This is a dream walk RP.

Being out in the sun felt like she was passing through a raging inferno. There were trees on the horizon in one direction, and what may have either been a pool or a mirage laying off another way. Desperate to be out of the heat Mahdi decided to take her chance with the tree line. No wings, she noticed as she ran full speed toward the shade. At least the exertion didn't seem to make it any worse. Beneath her she noticed a set of long, slender legs, unlike any horse she'd ever known. A deer maybe? Why had she found herself in a world of burning deer?

Fortunately the dream wasn't slowing her down, or holding her back. In fact, the trees seemed to be rushing towards her, growing in size faster and faster as she approached. Soon she was next to them. As she rushed into their shade she felt a shock as the world went from scorching hot to freezing cold in a heartbeat. The world shook, dislodging sheets of snow from the branches above. She couldn't dodge in time, and found herself pushing through an ever deepening pile of the stuff.

"Great," he muttered, looking out through the trees. Raising her voice she added, "I adore snow. Let's have more snow!"

There was no answer, not even a flurry of flakes from the sky. She started walking again, hoping to break out of this dream and into the next. Few dreams made her want to leave them, but this was strange world, a very static and empty world.

She bounded through the low lying pine branches, scaring a bounty of small wildlife from their hiding places. It would have been too easy to catch a few, but they were scrawny, starved and frostbitten, and would not be particularly satisfying. Her real goal was the plump foal which was forever appearing and disappearing behind the thick trunked trees and among the low but thick bushes. This was a wonderland of hiding places, both for her and her prey. It didn’t seem to matter much though. The foal always appeared again, even after those times where it had vanished for a while and she was becoming sure she’d lost it entirely.

After one particularly long absence it showed it's self again in the shadow of an older mare, then ran off toward the setting sun. Who was the mare? It’s mother perhaps? It hardly mattered. There was room in her belly for both of them. She passed by the mare and continued tracking the foal. The mare seemed to be sedate. The foal would be much more difficult to catch. Besides. Once caught the screams of her young prey would bring it’s mother running into her waiting jaws.

She hurried by, slinking with ease through the bushes without rustling a single branch. It was almost too easy the way she moved and it elated her to know that she was capable of such stealth. Future hunts would be easier.

The chubby foal ducked into an opening at the bottom of a particularly large, silvery tree. He would be cornered in there, Jenu thought, licking her lips. Moments later Jenu padded her way up to the tree then stuck her head inside. It was dark, with several tunnels leading off in various directions. Drat. The foal seemed to know these woods far better than she did herself. Unless she figured out the trick she would never be able to catch up. Perhaps this was how the foal had been vanishing and reappearing all along. He knew of a dozen paths and hiding holes spread through out the entire forest, didn't he.

A drop of cool liquid hit her on her head and she looked up. A silvery water rained down from the top of the tree, but her backside which was sticking out of the tree seemed to be dry still so it was raining in the tree? She moved inside, letting the cold silver cool her bones. The rain turned to flakes and began freezing to her wet fur. She sniffed the ground then started forward. The inside of this tree was the snow lands, her lands. That delicious little foal didn't stand a chance in hell.
