With much more space than Christine needs, this five bedroom, five bathroom house isn't really suited to her taste but where her brother and niece were living when she moved to the island. Since their departure, she's taken over the house. It's a little much for her but it has some lovely, inspiring views and she finds the scenery very calming.

Kitchen A bright, well lit gourmet kitchen with polished tile and high end appliances.

The Library Christine's brother kept a well stocked library with all the classics, and a large selection of modern novels and non-fiction books as well.

Family Room A large, cozy room for watching movies or snuggling by the fire.

Christine's Bedroom

Guest Bedroom

Bathroom The house has four, full bathrooms--all decorated in fancy tile and fixtures and all that good stuff.

Guest Suite For when guests sleep over and aren't sharing a room with one of the house's occupants. <___>

Swimming Pool Small, heated pool out back for when you just don't want to deal with jelly fish and sharks...

Hot tub For relaxing with wine or a good, waterproof book.

To be perfectly honest, Rory almost hadn't volunteered for White Day this year! He had done it practically every year since he moved to the island, so usually he did it without really thinking about it, but this year he paused. There were lots of reasons why he had hesitated, including his talk with Zelynity, but mostly it was that he was almost forty-two. He knew that the people who bid were often young (if his previous date with Lotte's young niece Maxine all those years ago had been any indication) and he didn't want to disappoint them by being old. ...But nothing he could do about it now! He had entered and someone had bid on him, so all he could do was hope for the best. He had had many forgettable White Days, but he also had gotten a date that resulted on him dropping through the van der Bach's front porch and right into Lotte's underground lab, so it could really go either way.

And this was perhaps the most interesting White Day date Rory had been on yet. He didn't know anything about this Amie Dahl, but the note she had left him... What did it mean? The drawing was crude, like a child's, but was that part of the message? What was Amie Dahl trying to tell him? He had pored over that message all night, searching for answers. For a while, he thought maybe it was a code, that there was a physical message hidden in the clumsy lines, and he had done his best to crack it. From about 3:06 to 3:24 AM, his breath had gotten caught in his throat as he realized that he had found the answer to the creation of the universe... But then at 3:25, he discovered that what he thought was a vowel was actually an eyelash, and he was back to square one. After a long laborious night, Rory had folded up the drawing and slipped it into his pocket and made his way to the Tremaines' mansion, resigned to the fact that this doodle was, alas, simply a doodle.

Rory rubbed at his eyes as he walked up to the house. He was told to meet Amie Dahl here... was this her house? It was large, and looked a bit like a lighthouse. He liked lighthouses, so he really liked this mansion. He was quite impressed by this Amie person, though this drawing of hers still weighed in the back of his mind. She had drawn, apparently, him, with some sort of creature. He couldn't figure out what it was. A camel? Great Plains Bison? It certainly had the hump... Maybe it was even a motorcycle for all he knew! Was he supposed to ride it, or bring a stuffed animal, or...? Not that it mattered. He did have a camel, or a bison, or even a motorcycle, and it was too short notice to order a toy (they didn't have a toy store on the island afterall), so he had to do with what he had. Incidentally, he did have a skull of a bull from an exhibit on livestock he had put together a couple years ago (surprisingly, it was a bust) and he carried it gingerly under his arm. He was also dressed quite casually, as he, upon leaving the house, realized that maybe the drawing was hinting that they'd be riding something? So he had changed into jeans and sneakers. Oh, he just wanted her to show up so he could get some answers!

~PARADOX. PLEASE GO ON ABOUT YOUR BUSINESS.~

Round two was about to begin and Carnation was ready to go in swinging! Oh. That wasn't so much appropriate, was it? She let out a little huff and crept into the house, trying to avoid detection in case they had some sort of animal. She was always happy to have new people on the island, but new cats on the island were a different story. Not that she wasn't sure that she could totally take them on, she was just worried that she might get a little caught off guard or something. Thankfully, it looked like this place was all clear and she scurried off to find Angela's room through the big house. After entering quite a few rooms, she finally stumbled upon Angela's chamber. Ah, the view was wonderful! She wished that she could stay and gaze awhile, but she had plenty more houses to visit. She found a small table nearest Angela and placed a eucalyptus candle and an envelope addressed to Angela Tremaine. She was honestly very proud of Angela, especially since she was a newcomer! These other chumps had a lot that they could learn from her! Not only was she well on the track to make some friends (and maybe some romance?), but she had practically won the tomato festival all by herself! She had made Carnation one proud fairy that day! It would've been enough to bring her to tears, y'know, if she ever cried. With a final smile out at the view, she disappeared to the next house.

As she practically skipped over to the Tremaine house, Amie couldn't help the subtle squeal that flew out of her mouth and stamp her feet in her excitement because for However, any steamy moments would have to be crossed out from her novel due to the fact that porn should never be written by a teenager. However…. However… her dreams shattered as soon as she saw what she won for her White Day date. It was some creepy old geezer that was holding some kind of skull. No. She could work with this. Amie just had to really force on her sparkly shoujo vision to maximum power, and bam! This man was now… a wizard.

He was going to be a wizard that would help assist her in her plight to find her prince! Yes! That was exactly right, and he could do just that by casting magical spells! Thank god she made sure to bring a few tubes of glitter. Of course, she had been planning to sprinkle her prince with them if he hadn’t been sparkly enough, but they could work as magic too. With a smile on her face, Amie politely curtsied at the man. “Hello there, sir. You must be Mr. Cameron right? I’m Lady Dahl. It’s a pleasure to meet you. I…. see that you understood my message quite well.” She paused to stare flatly at the skull and casual clothing. Ugh! Did he not understand dashing outfits? Stop. He didn’t know better. He was just a lowly wizard. She continued on with the tight smile plastered on her face. “However, it does not exactly fit into what I had in mind. No matter, we can still carry on with today’s plan. I was simply hoping that we could wander around the town and help out others with a nice little spell.” He better not screw up her fantasy. She paid good money for him, and she was going to get something out of this! Even if it meant that they were going to run around town and throwing glitter into people’s faces, so be it!

The Tremaine household was simply lovely – a perfect place to calm down after that awful home from before. Chrysanthemum hummed in approval as she went from room to room, finally ending in Eoin's bedroom with a pout because it was such a pity that she couldn't just spend the rest of the night here and had to actually finish her work. She shook her head, resigned to the Goddess' cruelty, and looked to the sleeping man. Such a fine follower she had obtained, one who could certainly give her all the gifts she rightly deserved.. but he had yet to lift a finger in her honor, so she couldn't give him anything too grand. So, she left a beautiful, silk robe with the embroidered image of her shrine beside the lake – just to give him a little hint for the upcoming year. Perhaps he would become curious and go looking for her? She would have left a sticky note informing him to bring jewelry, but she simply had to carry on before it got too late.

She was about to leave when she recalled she had another who had been staying in this lovely home. Giddy that she could stay awhile longer, she hurried off to the room where Naomi Sisken slept, staring at her for a long while as she tried to recall who this was and why she even had her. Finally, a cane nearby gave her clue enough to recall the 'man'. She debated as she watched him on what he exactly deserved, but considering he had managed to get into such a nice home for free.. No, no, wait! He was a servant! How could Chrysanthemum forget such an important detail?! Naomi didn't deserve anything when she obtained what she wanted by serving others! It was preposterous! So, she tossed a handful of quarters, nickels, and pennies at the woman before poofing away to her sleigh so she could carry on with her trip.

Ah! Next on her list was Kim! This lovely fella was new to the island, but lived in a luxurious house so that was fine by Orchid. She would have plenty of time to get to know him later! She worked her way into the house, amazed at all of the beauty. It wasn’t until she began to examine the house more and more that she came to realize that Kim was some sort of a servant here. Oh, that was so perfect! Orchid was picturing nothing less of a Cinderella story, although she wasn’t quite sure how a boy would work in that position. They could figure something out. She hoped that he would decide to visit her so they could discuss this most important matter. She flew through the house and finally found the resting place of this lovely new… fella? Orchid wasn’t certain, but she was pretty sure that what was sleeping curled up in that looooovely little outfit was a girl. She poofed his file into her hand and started leafing through it. Hmm… either the paperwork she received on him was incorrect, or that was a boy hidden in there. Ah, this wasn’t the first time that Orchid had seen something like this and she was sure that it wouldn’t be the last. She tossed the file up into the air, to allow it to float back to the file cabinet in the sky, and fluttered over to the little end table and placed a small box containing a few different flavors of lip gloss. Next to this, she placed an envelope containing the letter addressed to Kim Phan. Still utterly confused, she flew off into the night.

Rory had been standing there for just a moment or so, when someone greeted him with a 'sir'. He couldn't remember the last time he had been called sir -- oh jeez he was getting old -- and he looked down from his place on the porch to see a girl looking up at him. A young girl. A really young girl. Rory wasn't very good at judging ages, but she was definitely a teenager, and that meant that thiiiis... was probably not the most morally sound way to spend an afternoon. Not that he had much of a choice, she did pay, and there was nothing that said that it had to be a date-date, right? He just hoped she wasn't too disappointed. He was probably old enough to her father -- oh goodness, that was another thing he didn't want to think about right now. "Amie. Amie Dahl." he greeted her, now marveling at the fact that a twelve year old (she was like twelve right?) had written that cryptic message. Was she a genius? She had to be, to craft such a perfectly indecipherable code. He was intrigued by this apparent child genius. "You can call me Rory, it's nice to meet you," he said politely, though he was still quite aware of how weird this was, that he was so much older.

He wanted to ask her about the message when she said something startling. "Spell?" he repeated, blinking at her in surprise. "What kind of spell do you have in mind?" he asked, trying not to sound too skeptical or hesitant. She was a young girl, and maybe it wasn't so weird for a young girl to pretend to dabble in magic, but for some reason he was still thinking of that mysterious message and suddenly it felt much more ominous. Maybe... the creature wasn't a bull or bison or something, but some sort of sacrifice? A mythical beast? He remembered hearing of a kid in high school who tried to summon something, was that what they were doing? "Are you sure you wouldn't like to see a movie or something?" What did kids like to do nowadays? He had liked to read and practice the cello, but that wasn't much of a group activity. "I own the museum here, do you like science?" He had a bad feeling about whatever it was she had in mind, maybe he could tempt her into doing something else!

Damn it. No. He had to stop. He had to stop right now because he was crushing her dreams, and he wasn’t even trying to indulge her fantasies. How was a girl supposed to dream here? Where was a wimpy guy Alec when she needed him? There was no way an old geezer like Rory would even understand half the crap wonderful words she said, so that meant she’d have to drop her act. Pft. He didn’t even acknowledge calling her Lady Dahl Amie supposed she could consider this a break from her intense self-novelization. “Nevermind about what I said earlier. I was just joking.” She waved off with a frown. What a waste. She couldn’t believe she used up her allowance for this lame date.

“Sorry, but I don’t like science. I’d rather stick to the fantasy genre thank you very much.” Amie let out a sigh as she eyed the geezer. Goodness, he must have really been desperate if he signed up for a blind date. Of course, she was desperate too, but she had good reasons. She needed a prince after all, and it wasn’t like she was some old fart either. “Shouldn’t you be focusing on getting married or something? Maybe go out on a date with someone… your own age? However old that is. How about we just go get our hair cut or something? Maybe you’ll find someone when you don’t look as shabby.”

Rory stood there rather awkwardly. This... was not going as well as he had hoped. It wasn't just his lack of experience with children, nothing he said seemed to improve his standing in her eyes at all. It made him a little bit nervous, to be judged by a young girl -- all of a sudden he understood why his father always grew so tense around groups of teenagers. He shifted the skull from one arm to the other as he looked at her rather helplessly. He was trying to appeal to her in some way, but it wasn't working, was it? "Oh, well... I suppose science is not for everyone..." he offered as kindly as he could, trying very not to feel like a sorry old man. For a moment he considered asking how she felt about history, but figured he would not make much distance through academics. "I... I'm sorry... A haircut?" With his free hand he touched the back of his head. "I just had a trim, is it really that.... long?" He couldn't bring himself to say 'shabby', it hit a little too deep. He let out an uncomfortable laugh. He had never really thought of himself as shabby before, but all of a sudden he felt like the word had been made just for him -- shabby hair, shabby clothes, shabby museum, shabby house, shabby life. But was he seriously going to let a teenage girl make him feel bad for it? ...The answer was leaning heavily towards yes. "Miss Dahl, how old are you? Should a girl as young as yourself really be going on dates with complete strangers?" He was sounding like a typical shabby professor, but he wasn't about to start changing his ways now!
