Roar sighed tiredly. It had been a long day and all he wanted to do right now was either rest or float in the warm waters located near his home for a nice long soak. The drills had been killer on his back legs and boy had the head teacher gone nuts on the suicide crutches. "Ow, ow its a good thing I'm so young or things would have been worse." He winced as he recalled the nasty looks the older generations gave the instructor. Roar shook out the sore muscles and stretched. It had been hard but it certainly felt good on the body.

She had been here. He was certain of it, her scent was all over the area. Or at least it smelled like her. He could be stalking some random female right now, but in his heart he hoped it was her. He'd been on this new trail for a few days now, and it seemed promising. Much like Haziel, it was traveling. It never seemed to stop. But today the trail seemed to be going cold, all day the scent had simply circled this area. And at some points, it simply seemed to stop. By now the male was probably going in circles, but he wasn't about to give up, he simply had to find her. His life would be so lonely if she weren't around. Ghubari groaned miserably as he continued to follow the trail, straight into a lake. "Great" He growled, kicking up dust in his tantrum. "Another dead end!"Maybe he should just give up? Perhaps he wasn't meant to find her, to have her as part of his life? The idea made him even more miserable, and he simply flopped onto the bank of the lake. Giving up certainly sounded like a good idea at this point.

He was almost there. The scent of water hung in the air. Roar let out a groan of delight. "Finally almost there." He picked up his pace now that he had an incentive to get there quicker. Hopefully there wouldn't be too many lions in the bath area. Roar wrinkled his nose at the thought of the multiple smells of male bodies. That way he could get in and get out quickly orrr he could savour his alone time. Hmm. That sounded quite good actually. His ears flickered around and purred in delight. "Alone, alone~" Roar jerked to a stop and stop his soft singing. Rats. Another male was laying by the waters edge... His eyes narrowed one that didn't look familiar. A rogue? A spy? Best to make his presence known before any funny business could happen. "What goes on here there stranger." His voice somewhat gruff but just the right amount in case he was wrong and this lion really was part of the pride.

Ghubari hardly lifted his head at the male's call. Great, he mumbled under his breath, he was probably on the outskirts of yet another pride. That meant his trail had definitely gone cold, and was likely completely wrong in the first place. Rolling his eyes back in his head, he stretched his paws out before him and let out a loud yawn. "Just taking a rest, I don't mean any harm to you." He was pretty much ready to give up anyway, so if the male meant him harm, he didn't care. "Am I intruding on something I shouldn't be? I'll leave if that's the case. Intrusion has never been my intention."His voice was low, barely audible, and held a large amount of disdain for the situation.

Roar's fur bristled by the attitude that was shown to him, it irked him that one could be so disrespectful to another. "Of harm I have no fear," Roar raised an eyebrow mockingly. "Intruding? Well, you are in pride lands just so you are aware. Mwezi'Johari to be precise and the only thing not welcome is harming those in this pride. Are you here to cause harm?" He casually lifted a paw and inspected his large claws. Though tired Roar would defend his homeland with all that he had. "I do not want to fight this day." But the 'I will' was left unsaid.

Ghubari fluffed out his mane at the cocky male's words. Or at least, he felt they were cocky. Though as his words went on he came to understand exactly why he was being that way. He was intruding. His demeanor changed in an instant, and he pulled himself to his feet. Shaking his body out for a bit he stood tall and gazed over at the male. "No, I hardly consider myself one for violence ... in any sense of the word. I'm merely here because I thought I was following the trail of an old friend." Ghubari paused a moment, allowing his tail to flick against his side. "But now that you've told me where I am ... I have no doubts that I was wrong in my tracking." Now that the words had been said aloud, he felt even worse than he had originally. "If you've had any females complain of being stalked ... please give them my apologies. It was a case of mistaken identity."

Roar relaxed somewhat when the other sounded quite adamant of causing no harm, "I see. Describe your friend to me and I will tell you if I have seen them or not--" The others next words caused him to pause. "Well if you are sure they wouldn't have ventured here...then...Stalked?" Roar rose an eyebrow at the word. That sounded... "No I have not heard a complaint. Yet. Hmmm. Who did you say you were?" Roar played dumb in order to get more information on this lion in case future problems would pop up.

Ghubari listened to the other's words, though he had an air of skepticism about him. This lion was far too questioning ... he'd encountered many lions in his travel so far, and this one just seemed really nosey? He tried to brush it off, but the male seemed to be getting under his skin anyway. Clearing his throat, he spoke up once more. "I am Ghubari of the Pridelands. Son to Samawati and Sarabi. Brother to far too many to name." He let out a small chuckle at his last comment. He had many siblings from his real family, though he had even more from his adopted one. Definitely too many to try and list properly. "In answer to your other question ... I am looking for my childhood friend. She is short, with a pelt of a very dark purple. Her underbelly is white and she's the most stunning lioness you would ever lay eyes on." He had to stop himself, or he might choke on his words. Simply talking about her, was too much for his gentle heart to handle. "She's a kind heart ... the type to help others without a second thought to her own well being. Have you encountered anyone like this?"

Roar's eyes narrowed in thought and tried to recall if there was such a lioness that had come across this way. "Sadly, I have not seen her but if you continue that way-" He pointed towards with his left paw at the stone path, "-it will lead you to another pride. If you go to the left it will lead you back to the Pridelands." Now all he wanted to do was go soak his body in the spring water and enjoy the fact that he did not have to guard tomorrow. Day offs were lovely but far and few between. "I wish you luck in finding her, it sounds like she is very important to you."

Admittedly, Ghubari had gotten his hopes up that perhaps this male had seen Haziel. But his shoulders slumped in defeat at his regrettable news. "Oh ... I see..." Maybe it really was time to give up? And this male's intervention was merely the world's way of giving him a hint? Ghubari shook his head at the male's words. He wasn't quite prepared to go home just yet, and he had no intentions of invading another pride. The best thing for him to do, was turn tail and leave. "Yeah ... she's very special." With a vague half smile, Ghubari turned and positioned himself away from the lake. "Thank you for your time, I guess i'll be on my way now."And without a second glance, he was off on another journey. Where it would lead, he had no idea.
