'Meir's Cherries serves the best in sweets and bread found in Nirvani. Ranging from strudels to cupcakes and from wheat to pumpernickel. They also have a small coffee and cappuccino maker, because who doesn't love a doughnut with some hot coffee to wash it down? The sweet smells of baked goods can be found emanating from the back room during any open hour. Prices are kept rather cheap and the atmosphere is always cheery.

It was a brilliant morning full of sunshine and warmth and sea birds and all that happy stuff that made Tshila love living on Nirvani. She'd gotten a little bored with the ghost town that was the circus (where was everyone anyway? Abducted by aliens?) so she left to go explore, hang out where there were other people and, possibly, locate a chocolate eclair. Which was why she was now standing just outside the bakery, peeking in. Bakers always super impressed her because while she was capable of cooking well enough to, you know, keep herself from dying of starvation, the fine art of baking definitely eluded her. She'd tried baking once but it just didn't go so well. It was so complicated. There was yeast and..and things! So she was just glad the island had a bakery where professionals could make chocolate eclairs and she could buy them (them go work off the calories by juggling fire). Pulling open the door, Tshila smiled slightly as a little bell chimed. She stepped inside, nearly melting into a puddle of happiness at the smell of delicious baked goods that struck her in the face and proceeded to dance around her, poking her with metaphorical meat forks to entice her to leave with far more than the single chocolate eclair she'd come form. But she was totally going to be strong! Probably. Or so she thought as she wandered to the glass display case to examine the wares beyond the glass. "I mean, like, if all the fat went straight to my boobs instead of like, my thighs or something, I'd totally get more than one!" she said, more to herself than anyone else. "But if I gain too much weight, I think it would totally be a work hazard so only one. Come on. Be good, Tshila!"

The daylight hours sucked in the worst way for Vi. When she was younger, it meant evading the police as she skipped school, but, now that she was officially free of that harassment, it meant boredom. Ed was off in his library ignoring her, she didn't have friends to bother, and her job didn't need her until it was after dusk. Vi could only waste so much time listening to music and doodling in her sketchbook before she was driven nuts through the isolation. So, she decided to start her rounds of the day, going from place to place and staring holes into the back of the town's hotties heads until they whisked her away and dumped their wives or children in a ditch somewhere out of town. Thankfully, Xiero, the owner of the bakery and complete babe, didn't have a wife or kids young enough to bother Vi~ He was free game!
..Which also meant she had to fend off blonde bimbos from her man a lot of the time. Or maybe just this once, Xiero's ex-wife excluded. In any case, as the girl opened the clear doors to the sweet-smell of the local bakery, she was forced to stop and stare from the doorway at the girl hovering over the glass display. She looked around Vi's age with a pretty, healthy tan, shiny hair with daring green tips, and her body wasn't something to laugh at! Vi kept herself in pretty good shape, but this girl seemed to be a competitor in even that department. She pursed her lips as she let the door close behind her before easing into a smile, “Tshila? That's a weird name!” She greeted as she approached her, looking into the case too – oh, muffins~ And cookies too! Vi frowned and looked away, “Anyway, most of this is fat-free – the owner is married to a complete health nut, so it's usually pretty guilt-free coming here. I wouldn't worry about gaining anything.”

Tshila made a face. "Really?" She knew how fat free food tasted--usually gross. And falsely sweet and kind of disgusting. She was a little disappointed to find out this was a health food story masquerading as a proper bakery. It made her sad. The eclairs looked so tasty but lurking behind the veneer of deliciousness was probably an interior of grossness and low calorie sweeteners! Not that she wanted to gorge on junk but if she was going to treat herself to an eclair, she wanted it to be a properly yummy eclair and not a fake one. Ew. "I see. Wow. It's surprising that health nuts would open a bakery since baked goods are pretty notorious for not being healthy. Oh, I mean, except the whole grain ones and all that. I mean, it's not like all baked things are inherently bad for you--just the ones loaded up on butter and sugar. Not that butter and sugar are inherently bad for you either in small quantities and all that, it just kind of depends I guess. Know what I mean? Anyway..." She grinned at the other woman, when the lady remarked on her name. "It's not all that unusual. Just depends on where you're from. Where I'm from, it wasn't horribly uncommon. Sounds a lot like Sheila anyway if you're not watching your pronunciation and all that. Most people call me that anyway 'cause the Tsh is a little hard, I guess. I mean, not for me, but other people, you know?" "Oh, gosh! I'm totally just rambling and we haven't even been properly introduced. I mean, I know you already know my name but I don't know yours..."

Xeiro had been busy "working" in the back. It was still quite early in the day, so he was by himself for the time being. He didn't mind much, it really wasn't too hard to handle getting everything ready and he really loved baking anyway. He just used his employees for those times when he needed to go out and wanted to keep the place running. Today was not one of those days. In fact, today was one of those days where he really just wanted to stay back in the back room and not worry about much of anything. Despite the fights that he had had with his late sister over her drinking when she had worked there, he was currently drinking while sitting atop the counter and waiting for the oven to give its lovely ding. Instead, he heard a different sort of ding. The kind of ding that meant that there were people that he needed to go interact with. Typically it didn't bother him at all, he loved people in general and had really grown to love the people of this island. Today was just a bit off for him. He was feeling a bit older than usual and his mind was racing with things of the past that he should just be able to let go. Now wasn't the time to worry about that, though. He stood up and placed his small flask in his perfect little hiding place and walked over to check on the oven before he headed out to greet the customer.
He had heard a second bell chime and assumed that the first customer had grown impatient and left. However, he found that he was mistaken as he heard two different voices, both sounded like young women. He wiped his hands off on a towel and walked out into the main area just in time to hear something about fat-free and health nuts. This didn't seem to go over well with the other girl and it sure didn't go over well with him. He dropped the towel onto the counter and smiled at them. "Morning, ladies. I believe you are mistaken about my products. I don't want any bad rumors getting started and running everyone off. This shelf over here," He pecked his finger against the glass. "Is all of the healthy stuff we have, but all of this," He motioned to the rest of the shelves and other display case. "Is as fatty and sugary as they come. Oh and I'm not married." He smiled to both women, he hadn't really been much insulted by it. He just didn't want everyone to think that all of the sugary indulgences they had grown to love would be leaving anytime soon. "Whit that being said, is there anything I can help either of you with?" He leaned his hip against the counter and crossed his arms. He knew that he had grown much older from the days when showing off his muscles and smiles used to get women to buy sweets, but he figured it didn't hurt to try.

Jeez, this girl talked a lot. Vi didn't know what she was getting into when she approached her, but she didn't expect – well, then again, she was used to curtness among her family. Not everyone was too busy to say more than three words to her or, at least, this girl was one of the few. She nodded along with what she said, though by the time she got to talking about something being weird, she grew confused. What was strange? Health food? Where on Earth did this girl come from where they didn't have anything healthy but she still came out looking like that? She was going to ask, but then she was making sounds and it hit her that she was referring to her name. ..Oh, she felt stupid. “..Vi, I'm Vi. It's not--” Before she could give her personal commentary on her own name, though, Mr. Hotstuff had arrived~ She smiled slightly at him, inwardly irate that he had to overhear what she said rather than wait maybe five minutes longer. Not that it would have made a difference; her timing with men was atrocious.
“Oh, I must have heard wrong! I'll have to tell that one girl at the gym about that.” Not that she knew any girl at the gym or had even been to the gym period, but it was vague enough that it should work. “You can help me with, hmm..” She looked him over, smoothing out her hair with one hand, “a lot, but you can give Sheila and me a recommendation? Did you bake any of this, Mr..?” Of course, she knew his name, but she hadn't actually had a chance to talk to him yet, so it would be weird if she just outright said it.

"Oh my God, I am totally glad to hear that," Tshila told Xiero. "Because, man, I was going to be so disappointed if the bakery only had health food, know what I mean? I mean, not that there's anything really wrong with health food! I'm sure your healthy...muffin..things...taste wonderful." She didn't know who to look at this point because the bakery owner was totally hot! For an old guy, of course. not that there was anything wrong with being older--older men were all mature and suave and distinguished and all that but damn! Those biceps were amazing. She really kind of wanted...to...grope one. Not in a creepy way because, he was totally old (still hot though) but they were just so huge and bulging and awe-inspiring that it was hard to resist. But she didn't want to be arrested for sexual harassment and if she wasn't mistaken, Vi was totally making flirty eyes at this guy so instead, Tshila just mentally named them. The left one was Edward and the right one was Benedict. She was a little partial to Benedict, personally. Oh! People were talking to her. Right. "How are the eclairs today?" She shot Vi a smile. "And it's totally nice to meet you Vi! I haven't really gotten to meet many people outside the circus because, you know, totally practicing all the time because you know, if you're doing a contortionist act fifty feet in the air, you do not want to fall. Same goes for juggling fire. So, you know, practice is really super important but it kind of totally kills your social life and all that, you know? So yeah--great to finally meet some of the people here."

Xeiro wasn't so sure, but he thought that he had seen both women looking at his muscles. Then again, he wasn't necessarily watching their eyes much. "Rameri. Xeiro Rameri. Which may be odd since it doesn't quite rhyme as well as I act like it does for the title of the place, but no one really knows that. Oh, you go to the gym? I've never seen you there, though I do feel like I have seen you somewhere." He looked at her intently, knowing that he had somewhere seen her, but just couldn't quite place it. He really didn't go all too many places, and he didn't think it was the gym. Maybe the bar? Hmm. She barely looked old enough to be there. Oh, he'd just have to figure it out later. " Well, we'll have to get in a good sweat together some time, yeah? I mean, you'll definitely need it after I get some of my sweets in you." At that point he heard the oven in the back and stepped away from the counter to go grab them. "Everything you see there is from yesterday and the day before, but I've got some fresh donuts made by me right here, if you are interested? I'd say a nice cream horn for the contortionist and a glazed with blueberry filling for you to work off at the gym." He smiled and placed the two pans down on the counter and began placing the donuts into the case and removing yesterday's versions to put in the discount bin.
Once done, he placed his hands on the counter and looked over to both of them. He always loved having ladies stop by the store, he just couldn't resist all of the eye candy this wonderful island had to offer. It really didn't matter that they looked as if they were the same age as his daughter. It would only be more convenient! He could find himself a lady and find Lyra a built-in friend. She'd have to love that, right? He looked over at Tshila and smiled, "So, you work at the circus? That sounds really interesting. I'd loooove to see the things that you can do with your body." Maybe that was pushing it a little, but when was Xeiro ever one to not push all of the limits? The worst he could get was a slap to the face, and if he stood to his full extent he might be able to avoid even that. He really had nothing to lose, and as he looked her over one last time, he realized he had a whole helluva lot to gain.

Oh, great. She was pretty and she had some cool circus act that she was bragging about. Vi hadn't missed the look she gave Xeiro, either. She was probably going to lose, but to hell if she wasn't going to go down without a fight. A literal one. Because Vi wasn't above starting a cat fight over a guy. But, Tshila had kept her mitts off of the man, thankfully, and even kept up with both Vi and Xeiro without a problem. ...Hm. "I guess that's cool." Except not really, because being a circus freak was totally stupid and immature. Oh! But Xeiro made what could have been a joke, so cue the giggle and smile nice and wide for him so he knew she was really into the conversation. More than the kid next to her, at least!
"I don't go to the gym all that much, I have my own personal routine." She replied and may have even went on to tell him exactly where he could have seen her before, but the conversation moved on and she actually afforded a thought to that one. She had no idea what sort of stone-age values Xeiro could have and, if he was some conservative guy, she didn't want to scare him off already. Not without the proper preparation, at least. ....Not that she may need it, because that was totally a come on and Vi was not prepared for it. She giggled before she could stop herself and willed herself not to blush because she was not some schoolgirl anymore, darn it. But then he recommended a donut to Tshila first and that brief moment of excitement died away.
She looked at the donuts offered and made a small face. Why was her donut so.. round and plump? Was he trying to say something? "I think I want the cream horn, actually." She crossed her arms and sucked in her stomach as she said that, glancing down to compare Tshila's body to hers for the third time that day. She didn't look all that much skinnier..! She would have to go on a diet, though, just in case, which meant she would probably throw out that donut later. That was when he had made what was not just a 'maybe come on', like what hers was, but the most blatant and annoyingly obvious statement that could ever be said. She grit her teeth and let out a frustrated puff under her breath before looking to Tshila, "I would love to see that too, Sheila. Have you ever been hurt during an act? Playing with fire is dangerous, you know."

"That is totally a great name!" Tshila told Xiero sincerely. "I'm Tshila, by the way. Tshila Curari. It's great to meet you! Anyway, it's really great to meet you both!" She grinned slightly when they both said they wanted to see her perform (Well, Vi said it kind of weirdly, but that was okay! Even if she was being a little unsure of herself, Tshila just figured she took a while to warm up to people). "Anyway, I haven't hurt myself in years--and never during a performance. I mean, you know, we practice a lot! And you always start out small and work up to the more daring stunts, know what I mean? You totally end up with a few burns and nicks and pulled muscles at the start but after a while, it's pretty rare to get hurt. Oh, but Vi! Once, I totally hurt someone else though. But it was a major accident. Like, I was thinking of taking up knife throwing? Which, I'm actually really good at the whole throwing them hard enough to stick into the target and I usually do intentionally miss the person but once I sort of missed...missing the person? And I nearly hit a vital spot so they kind of don't really let me do knife throwing anymore. But it would be so awesome to do a flaming knife act where you throw them at a person while they're on fire!" "Anyway, you guys should totally come see the show sometime!" She kind of wanted to tease Xiero by telling him she did give private performances (because that line was totally a come on!) but he seemed to be flirting with them both anyway so she'd just leave it at that. Still, they'd both said they wanted to see what she could do and, really, what self respecting performer wouldn't take that opportunity to show off? "Oh! But I can give you a quick demonstration! Here." Tshila reached up first, stretching her body to make sure she didn't do herself an injury, before letting her torso slowly bend over backwards until her head was just below her rear facing away from the two of them, while the lower part of her body was still facing them. She could have stopped there but the reactions were always so funny when she pushed her poses beyond 'wow, bendy!' and into the more horrified 'oh my god, how!?' So Tshila wrapped her arms around her knees and pulled herself forward more, bending her back and neck until her head was between her legs and she was smiling up at the two of them, her upper legs and torso basically forming the letter "D." "I'd like a chocolate eclair, please!" she joked. ((Er...just in case a visual is needed for the pose she's doing. Bendy Spine! )

Xeiro was about to grab the cream horn for Vi when she too told Tshila that she'd like to see some act too. Even if he could basically feel the sarcasm radiating from her, he had simply been teasing Tshila. He didn't imagine that she would actually do anything. That was exactly why he was so shocked when he watched her twist and turn her body into an unnatural position. He laughed and brought his hand to his mouth. "Oh my, you sure have some talent." He had to admit that it was a bit more than he had expected, but still pretty darn thrilling. It took a great bit of energy to peel his eyes away from her, but somehow he managed and looked back over at Vi to see the disdain on her face. Vi really didn't seem to like this girl much, and it helped his ego to imagine that it was all because of his lovely pythons. "Alright, one eclair coming up for miss bendy bones." He crossed his arms in front of him and narrowed his gaze at Vi, "surely you have something to show me to earn your horn, right?"
He allowed his eyes to trail over Vi as he grinned at her. That personal routine sure seemed to be working out good for her. He'd have to see if she wanted to trade some tips later on when it wasn't just too much fun to tease her. Of course he didn't imagine that she would actually do something, since he didn't quite know what could ever light a flame to the girl with her rear on top of her head smiling up at him. So, he laughed and slid the display case back open, not at all bothered that neither of them wanted to take his suggestions. His suggestions never really were paid much attention to, with so many options people normally came in knowing exactly what they wanted.

Seth had been busy with several new batches of pastries when the customers had come in. Xeiro had gone out to deal with them while Sethrian stayed in the kitchen, filling the new creme puffs and piping whipped cream on the top of the triple coconut cream puff bites. After arranging all the pastries on two large trays, he picked up the trays and headed out to the display case with them. He immediately noticed Xeiro chatting with the two customers, one of whom was bent in half. Because...of reasons. He really didn't want to know--and that pose was kind of disturbing, really, and he did not want to know why she was doing it in the first place. So he nodded politely to the one not trying to snap herself in half, as he slid the trays onto a nearby rack. Opening the back of the display case, he began rearranging the things already there, toward the back of the display so he could place the newer creme puffs toward the front.

This was such a bad trip, she didn't know why she had even bothered to make it! Well, she did, if she thought on it, but past Vi was a moron for even trying to impress Xeiro because someone up high had made their life mission to screw with her every way she went. This wasn't any different – but, seriously, it could have maybe not thrown some freaky circus act that she would have to watch because this was really disgusting. Vi felt a shiver – it was like she was watching some horror movie come to life and not just grabbing a pastry from the hot bakerman. “Oh..” She made a face and looked to Xeiro because any sane person knew that this was just not right and totally disturbing, right? He was going to be grossed out and throw Tshila out of the bakery so he could take Vi up in his manly arms and into the back to show her the best of his cream horns.
That was what he should have done, at least. Not look fascinated by the deranged show of flexibility and ignore her in favor of Tshila again. She crossed her arms in brief irritation before he suddenly looked at her and she was left wondering if maybe it wasn't better that he was distracted by the circus freak. Show that up? How on Earth could she do anything like that?! Vi's best talent she could think of offhand was managing to run in high heels, which was hardly as outlandish as what Tshila did.
“Um.” Horn had to be some kind of euphemism, right? She brushed a hand through her hair and looked at the ceiling casually, “Well, anything I can do is better done in private.” Okay, it was a total dodge, but it worked for now. She looked over the counter at another worker in the bakery – oh, he was new. Sorta cute. She waved and smiled at him when he nodded to her, but she didn't want Xeiro to think she was interested in kids. So, she looked at him again and added, “Maybe if we were alone..” She glanced down at Tshila before looking away quickly again because that was still really weird, “Sheila, are you stuck or what?”

"Oh no, I'm not stuck!" Tshila said, releasing her knees and slowly righting herself. "I can pretty much bend my body into any position imagineable without hurting myself or getting stuck. Which is totally a good thing because there are some, you know, 'positions' I wouldn't want to have to explain to a doctor, know what I mean?" "Especially the ones involving another person because some of my 'performances' require the use of a, um, you know, partner. You know, someone who is a willing volunteer from the audience, if you will." She gave Xeiro a teasing smile as she leaned on the counter. "I've heard here and there that those are deinitely the best performances I do." "So anyway, you two obviously have been here longer than me--are there any good places to hang out and meet people? Because I totally do not know anyone yet and my social life has shriveled and died. It is totally time to fix that." She noticed Vi smile and wave at the guy who had just walked in. Awww! She liked him too! Tshila wondered if they knew each other. That was such a cute little wave.

Xeiro was intently trying to keep his eyes peeled off of Tshila when he saw Seth enter the room. He liked Seth pretty well, the man tended to keep to himself and was a pretty damn good baker. "Morning, Seth. We've got some lovely customers this morning. The real bendy one is Tshila." He turned his head over to her, happy to see that she was back in an upright position. "And this is Vi, the feisty one." He smiled at Vi and straightened his back to take a better look at the newer additions to the display case. "Ladies, this is Seth. He's a baker here and makes some killer creme puffs if you'd like to try some?" He went to reach for two bags to start getting their desserts packed and possibly add in the creme puffs when he really started to hear just what they were saying. They were both totally talking about sex, wait. Maybe it was just that he wished that's what they were talking about and his mind was getting it all twisted. He looked back up at Vi first and laughed a bit, then over to Tshila.
There was hardly any shock that registered at all. He was used to imagining that he was getting all of the ladies, so this was really nothing new. Perhaps it was the quick drink that he had had shortly before and perhaps it was the fact that he had been in a bit of a dry spell, but there was just something that made him want to act foolish and bite at the bait that they were casting out there. "Well, I'm sure Seth here wouldn't mind watching a performance from one of you. What do you say, Seth? Which poison would you like to taste?" He turned his head to look back over at Seth with another bit of a laugh. Damn, this was way too much fun. If every day was like this, he'd have to start putting in some overtime.
