A battle between Yansa and Briella in Jauhar.

She did not take this opportunity lightly. Yansa was a highly respected member of their group, and she had been one of the three in the room who decided that Briella was responsible enough to keep Ilyra as her own child and raise her. She had seen something in Briella that not everyone did.
It was for this reason that Briella wanted to practice with her. Not only because Yansa believed in her, but because she knew what she was doing when it came to fighting. As soon as she was given the signal to start Briella rushed towards her, blades ready to attack.

Yansa accepted the bow with a deep nod of her own. A sister had come to her with a request to duel and she would oblige. What was best for the group as a whole was to train each other to become as strong as they could, not the petty squabbling of being the strongest that she had heard so many earthling men boast in her travels.
"Here we will not see victory and defeat, but possibilities. Keep that in mind young Sister.
And with that she swiftly and easily avoided Briella's attack and met her opponent with a strike of her own.

BriellaHP: 19.8/24 Needs 14+ to hit Rolled: 12 (+7) = 19, hit Damage: 19 (+7) = 26/2 = 13 DamageBriella nodded as Yansa spoke. Yes, all in all it didn't matter who won or who lost. No matter what she would learn something from this battle with Yansa, and maybe she would be able to teach Yansa something! "Yes sister, I will." she said with a smile.
She watched as Yansa avoided her attack as if it was nothing. It seemed that Briella needed this practice more then she had thought. The attack from Yansa surprised her at first, and it stung. As quickly as she could she went for another attack. Maybe she would be able to catch Yansa while she was still coming back from her own attack.

Yansa winced at the pain. Briella may have been new to her class, but she was remarkably strong. Her attack was strong enough to rival a Warrior's and it seared her nerves. She would bruise tomorrow no doubt. "You might not have so much to learn after all, Sister."
She leaped back and lunged at Briella, attempting to counter.

BriellaHP: 17.55/24 Needs 14+ to hit Rolled: 2 (+7) = 9, no hit "There is always much to learn." she replied with a smile towards Yansa. She had hoped she didn't hurt the other all that much. But she couldn't think about that now, if she did she would feel bad and then attack with less force and no doubt Yansa would be mad at her for that!
She went to attack again but tripped over something on the ground. She quickly righted herself, but the embassesment was evident in her face. "...Very much to learn..." she said under her breath.

Yansa was able to dodge the next attack quite easily, the miss managed to relieve herself for her sister had shown such fierce strength before it was almost unnatual. A deep breath as she readied herself and lunged forward to offer a strike against Briella. It was now time to see what she was really capable of.

BriellaHP: 17.55/24 Dodge: 15 (+4) = 19, no damage Retaliate: 15 (+7) = 22/5 = 4.4 damage Briella smiled, she had made it easy for Yansa to dodge her attack, and then the next attack Yansa sent towards her Briella dodged just as easily. She was proud of this though she knew better then to get a big head about it. As soon as she could she struck out at Yansa. She was hoping that she would get Yansa before she had time to dodge this attack.

Yansa had decided to take the hit, perhaps it was due to the fact she wanted to see how much power the girl had, though the landing of the second hit didn't contain nearly as much power as the first, it knocked her off balance a bit and her next swing missed the girl by several inches. Shaking her head she would need to focus on the task at hand.

She was lucky that Yansa had missed her last attack, it had only been a few inches that she missed by, hopefully she would continue to have good luck and land this attack! She had a feeling it was powerful enough to end things once and for all!

Dmg: (5 +6) /4 = 2.7 dmg
Rolling to the side Yansa managed to dodge part of the blow, it had the feel of it being a finishing move and perhaps it should of been, the alkidike woman felt as if she tried to fight any more she would likely keel over. Still her pride prevented her to give up just yet as she countered with her spear. It was a weak hit, she could feel the sweat coming down the sides of her face and her breath coming quickly. The end of this battle was nearing she knew that much.

BriellaHP: 14.85/24 Needs 14+ to hit Rolled: 10 (+7) = 17, hit Damage: 6 (+7) = 13/2 = 6.5 Damage Looking at Yansa, Briella wondered if she should just stop. It looked like the older woman was done, like she couldn't take any more. However it was in this moment that Yansa's counter attack hit her. She smiled as she moved away as fast as possible before Yansa could hurt her again.
She should have known better then underestimating Yansa, she was one of the best and she wouldn't stop until she couldn't move any longer, and Briella would do the same out of respect. She went in for another attack, hopeful that this would be her last.

Another staggering blow and the woman knew this was time to admit defeat. Despite everything she was impressed with the battle prowess Briella had displayed during their spar. Straightening she used her staff to support her weight, bruises already blossoming on her skin from the days trails.
"You have done exceeding well today, you've display a great potential in yourself. I am humbled to admit defeat but I know that continuing to fight would be only my stubborn pride getting the best of me." Smiling she gave Briella a nod of her head.
"Come to me again if you wish to test your prowess again."
The battle has concluded with Yansa conceding in defeat.
Briella is the winner and receives 25 EXP
