When he'd seen what was going on for prom, Roch had jotted his name down as soon as he'd found a pen. He'd called Nahm, gotten the go ahead (after signing up) and then called Rikki-- But this was their last prom, right? Well, probably, anyway, and he had felt guilty for even asking the other boil to work on a date night when Danny would want to hang out with her boilfriend. So he wound up telling Rikki he'd find another drummer (and probably a bassist, Sammy was still dating her ghoulfriend, last he'd heard.) But the only drummer he could think of off the top of his head was Seiji. He barely knew the guy, Roch thought. But he had heard that Junko and Seiji had broken up, which sort of made Roch and Seiji like... automatic bros, right? The broken heart club or something. Which was a seriously flimsy excuse to go "Hey man, wanna take an hour off of hittin' on ghouls t'do this?" If Seiji had even gotten to that point, that was. Then again, ghouls liked musicians, right? Either way, Roch thought as he scratched the persistent itch in the back of his head while heading through the ghost dorm, it wouldn't kill him to ask, right? He pulled to a stop at a door, checking once to make sure he'd gotten the right place, and knocked on it, hoping Seiji was in at the moment.

Seiji had gone out that morning on his usual run, but had ended up staying out a lot longer then he'd planned on. At a certain point the music pulsing through his earbuds had been enough to propel his feet on at a continuous pace, and since he didn't really tire as a ghost, he'd kept at it for a few hours. By the time he'd gotten back to his dorm room it was early afternoon. At which point he'd jumped into the shower, washed, and pulled on a pair of casketball shorts and let that pass for being dressed. He'd just walked back out of his room ,hair still wet and hanging around his face, when the door knocked. Assuming it to be a certain banshee, he didn't bother to find a shirt, and instead went straight for the door, only to find a very male reaper staring back at him. "Roch." He cracked a grin, pointy teeth catching the light. "What's up, bro?" He'd been meaning to get a hold of the rocker boil. They'd had similar experiences as of late, and a good boils night out would do the both of them wonders. At the very least, it would provide a chance to unload about their exs.

There was this ornery streak that had recently--nah, who am I kidding? Roch grinned, seeing the other boil half naked, and said almost innocently, "I came t'proposition you, man!" He was horrible, but it amused him. "See, I need a guy with some stamina--" then he stopped and burst out laughing. "No, seriously, I wanted to ask y' something serious real quick. You got a date for prom?" Wait--hadn't he been joking about the propositioning thing? Somewhat ninja

Dark brows sunk over quickly narrowing eyes as the ghost stared at the other boil. "Oh really? I hadn't thought you swung that way," he retorted, voice drawling out sarcastically. Nudging the door open more, Seiji moved to lean his shoulder against the frame, arms coming up to cross over his chest. The laughter came as expected, and the boil's lips twitched up in half a smile at the reaper's attempts at humor. It was Roch's question at the end that earned him a questioning look. "A little early to be choosing, isn't it?" Or was it? He'd always had an automatic date for the prom, so honestly, he wasn't entirely sure what was proper asking protocol. He paused to give it some actual thought, wondering who, if anyone he'd have really considered asking. "I was gunna ask Sarias, but it isn't like she's super clingy. Why, what's up?"

Roch pulled out his phone, bringing up a snapshot of the sign-up sheet. "They're letting bands sign up. I got Nahm on voice, but my drummer, Rikki? He's a third year now, an' so is Danny, so I figure I should let them enjoy their prom, y'know? So I'm looking for a drummer for like, half an hour t'an hour on stage. I still need t'ask Sammy, though. But if you're goin' with a ghoul--well, I don't wanna interrupt somethin', y'know... new." He looked at his phone then, mentally going through any drummer that might work--and coming up empty. Maybe someone from battle of the bands--no, they hadn't actually PLAYED so he had no clue if they could.

When the phone was held up, Seiji obediently looked down at the pictures Roch was showing him. "That's actually pretty damn sweet." It also explained why the reaper was on his door step. "It's nothing exactly serious, if you know what I mean." They weren't dating. There weren't any polite ways of labeling what he and the banshee had going on between them. The ghost smirked. "If you need a drummer, then I'm in." He'd never gotten to play for anything even remotely professional, so the idea of playing a set at prom was pretty inviting.

Roch cheered up, grinning at the other boil. "Yeah? Sweet. Cuz seriously, all my other options were from Battle of the Bands, and one time auditions and beamin' creeps with drumsticks ain't enough t'make me wanna ask them. Especially since I'd be in front of them." He wasn't even going to think about the bass situation just yet, he thought. "But hell, even if it's not serious, good t'hear you're movin' on," he told the other boil--then scratched the back of his head again, making a face. "Jack, I got used t'sense soul when it's just one or two, but an entire dorm of ghosts--I should get goin," he decided. "Plus if I go now I can still get a second breakfast in town!" Then he looked at the hungry ghost. "Y'busy? I know a place that has an all y'can eat buffet!"

Seiji had never participated in battle of the bands, and he was starting to wonder if he'd been wise not to, or if it was something he should regret having missed.. Not that that mattered now. Roch was talking about moving on from his break up with Junko and the ghost had to fight not to grimace. Since he wasn't sure he'd actually done that, he didn't comment. Thankfully Roch's natural ability provided a great distraction for any further need to comment of his personal life right that moment. "Naw, I'm not busy." Dude, all you can eat? Now the reaper was speaking his language. "Let me grab a shirt real quick." He disappeared into his room briefly, then reemerged with a sleeveless, zip up hoody covering his upper body. He gave his pockets a pat to make sure wallet and phone were present, then grinned at Roch. "Alright, let's hit it."

Roch grinned and headed out of the dorm happily. "I would invite Nahm--he's the singer, I dunno if y'know him, but he's a grue, an' I figure we'd get tossed out of the place too quick if we brought him along." Poor Nahm, denied all-you-can-eat. "I should probably explain the band name," he added as they got outside. "We call ourselves BLP. Which stands for whatever the hell you can think of at the moment. Black Lace Panties, Blood, Licorice and Perverts, Big, Long and Purple, y'get it? Most of the time we play at my gramp's casino, Casino Royale."

Oh yes, Seiji knew Nahm. The cloaked figure that seemed to flirt has he breathed. He hadn't liked the other boil very much when they'd first met, considering Nahm had been sweet talking Junko, but they'd talked, and there'd been no bad blood between them since. Of course, the grue being Junko's friend first, he wasn't entirely sure where he and the other boil stood now. He didn't bother saying all this though, instead he gave a small chuckle as he stuffed his hands into his pickets. "I know him, and you're probably right." It wasn't every day Seiji met people that could out eat him. He glanced at the reaper as he explained the band name, brows lofting a bit before his face split into an amused grin. "Not gunna lie, that's a little weird, but I like it." He mentally went over a few possible meanings for the letters, snicking softly. " "I didn't know your gramps owned a casino." He paused, frowned, then added. "Granted I don't know very much about you. Reaper, musician, used to date Amphi, likes to eat a lot." That was pretty much the extent of his knowledge on the other boil. "Oh, and Terra's related to you, but I know next to nothing about her either, except she's also a reaper."

"Then we're bout in the same boat," Roch admitted. "I know you're a ghost, you used t'date Junko, y'eat a lot, and you're pals with Jove, an' you play drums," he summed up. "But hell, I'll tell if you tell. Unless y'wanna take the bike, we got a bit of a walk ahead of us, anyway." He thought about the summery, heading for the front gates. "I'm a third year grim reaper, my scythe is my guitar--her name is Desiree, Terra's my lil sister, her weapon's a violin--it runs in the family," he started out. "We weren't raised t'gether, just in case you're wonderin. I grew up in the city, learned t'play from a drunken skeleton on a street corner called Bones--that's why even though I look like this, my basic fallback is blues. I got a bit of classic guitar, too, thanks t'him." Then he stopped at the bushes in front of the fence. "Y'wanna ride or walk?" he asked.
