Light Side Quote: For whatever reason, you are on Eowyn. Perhaps you have come looking for Kiandri or Firani Dragons to kill. Or maybe you have come to steal Drakein eggs or possibly just exploring this dry land. As you wander the desert you spot a strange cave entrance in the side of a sand dune. When you go to investigate you can see that after the tunnel goes down somewhat there is a wooden door. If you knock on the door continue reading, otherwise leave and do not continue this adventure.A tall and majestic figure opens the door. She doesn’t look like any Magescian you’ve seen, her golden skin is lightly scaled and her crimson hair piled on top of her head revealing three strange crystals projecting from where her ears should be. A smile reveals fangs and the woman waves her draconic looking hand to invite you inside. " Ah! Just as I was about to leave a visitor arrives! How delightful." you sense no menace from her as she invites you in. " Please, come in, come in! Would you like anything to drink? I know how the desert can make one so very thirsty. Unfortunately, I cannot offer more than tea or water at the moment." she says as she steps back and allows you to enter. The room you enter is clean and rather light for a cave. The floor, walls, and ceiling are all made up of stone, though plush carpets cover the floor. There are some woven tapestries depicting scenes of flying dragons and Drakein upon the walls. There is only one chair in the corner; the rest of the furniture appears to be made up of low tables and large cushions. Perhaps the majority of her visitors aren’t Magescian at all? She waves at you to take a seat somewhere. " Oh, how rude of me. I almost forgot to introduce myself. I am Anodyne, one of the Drakeinian leaders." she says with a smile before continuing on. " I know this may sound rather presumptuous of me; but would you care to do me a favor? I was just about to leave and gather some ingredients that I need for an enchantment; but I do have some rather urgent business keeping me here that I would rather not leave if at all possible. Could I rely upon you to go gather them for me?” she asks. " I would be willing to give you a Dragon Orb as well as a Ysali Dragon's Tear in return for this favor." she waves her hand at a glowing orb and tear shaped gem on the single self in the room. You recognize the orb as an Aedaun Dragon Soul Orb, though you have never seen a real one before, there are plenty of pictures of them. Should you accept, go to "Task 1". Should you refuse, go to "Quit".Araceli had traveled to Eowyn with her mother on a trip to gather some ingredients that can only be found on the desert continent. While her mother was shopping, Araceli decided that she would do some exploring of the desert. Telling her to not wander too far into the desert, her mother shooed her away and went on with her shopping, saying that she would be a while anyway. The desert was hot and Araceli hadn't planned for it. She gulped down the last drop of water that she had and let out a deep sigh. It seemed she would be heading back into town much sooner than she thought. As she turned to head back, something out of place caught her eye. She changed the direction of her traveling and went over to investigate. It seemed to be an opening in the side of a sand dune. She squinted her eyes and peered down into it. Was that a door? Araceli looked around to see if anyone was around and crept down to the door. She lifted her fist and knocked once on the door. It didn't take long for her knock to be answered. Araceli hadn't even expected anyone to answer, really. So when the door was opened to reveal a very reptilian looking woman inside she was even more surprised. Araceli wasn't sure how to react to the strange woman. She had never seen a creature like her. What was she? Araceli blinked at the invite in. She had always been told not to trust strangers but there was just something about the woman that invited her into her and made her feel welcomed. Araceli's eyes wondered over the insides of the dwelling, amazed that so many things could fit in once place. It was obvious that not many of her visitors were of the regular Magesc races. So again, the question of what this lady was came back to Araceli. However, she was too scared to ask this of her. Araceli's attention was captivated again by the woman as she talked. The offering of something to drink made Araceli's mouth water. Her throat was parched. She nodded her head at the offer. "Water, please?" She asked meekly. She took the offered cup of water as the lady introduced herself as the Draeinkian leader. Well, one of them at least. So this was a Drakeinian? She had imagined them more dragon like than what Anodyne. Araceli's eyes widened yet again at the Drakeinian leader's request. Was it normal of her to ask complete strangers for favors? She contemplated the offer. An Aeduan dragon orb did sound rather tempting. With that on her mind, Araceli agreed to help her out. Go to task 1

Task 1: Quote: She thanks you for helping her, claiming it will be a huge help. Her first task for you to do is to go to Serenia and gather some of the golden sand from Lake Amafel's banks. This will take IC time to get there and back. Feel free to RP whatever adventures or misadventures you have along the way.Roll 1d100.1-20: Failure! You get the sand but as you go back to Anodyne, disaster strikes and the container is broken and the sand blows away in the wind. Return to her with nothing. Go to Failure.21-99: Success! You get the sand and return to Anodyne. You may choose to give the sand to her or say you failed (if you do this you keep the sand). Go to Success if you give it to her. Go to Failure if you keep it.100: You get 2 of the item! You may choose to keep them both or give one to Anodyne. Go to Success if you give one to her. Go to Failure if you keep both.Araceli grumbled as she left the Drakeinian's house and headed back to town. So far to go to obtain an item that didn't seem very important at all. What could she be making that she needed something such as sand. She was surrounded by sand. Wouldn't it do? Sighing, Araceli shrugged and headed back into town. She found her mom picking up some last minute things. She told her of what had happened. Her mom frowned while listening to her daughter explain what she'd agreed to. "I've heard of this Anodyne. Ara, why ever did you agree to help her?" Araceli shrugged and looked away in response. Her mother sighed. "Alright, fine. I suppose you must keep your promise. We shall head to Serenia. Though you're on your own after that. I have work to do and can't go back and forth with you between continents. Will you be fine by yourself?" Her mother asked. Araceli nodded frantically. She'd never been left to explore on her own and the prospect was very likeable. The pair headed to Serenia soon after buying the last of Ara's mother's supplies. The two parted way at the docks, Ara's mom heading deeper into the city and her heading to the southern lake on the continent. She had explored the forests enough lately to be able to find her way through them without running into a Ysali dragon. She was very grateful for that too. The last thing she wanted was to have to flee from a dragon. In no time, Araceli reached the lake. Its beauty held her transfixed for a few minutes. She could stay there forever if she was able. However, she had a task to do. She quickly removed the flask she'd been given and funneled sand into the glass. With a sigh of relief she tucked it snugly back into her pack and headed back to Eowyn. Go to Success.

Success: Quote: She praises you and thanks you for your hard work, her face reveals that she is thankful for you taking on this task for her. You’ve allowed her to focus on whatever important chore she needed to do. The more you succeed, the happier she gets. If you give her two of one item, she thanks you profusely but hands you back one saying she doesn't need both. Go to the next Task or Final if you have just finished Task 3.After much traveling, Araceli had made it back to Eowyn by herself. She had said her farewells to her mother, stocked up on water and had left. She now found herself back in front of Anodyne's wooden door, knocking yet again. It didn't take long for her to answer. Her face lit up as she saw that her visitor was Araceli. She ushered her in and offered her something else to drink. Araceli declined. "I've brought plenty of my own this time." She said with a haughty smile. Araceli reached into her pack and pulled the flask of sand out and held it up for Anodyne to inspect. It seemed she was please with her work. Ara was happy. While it hadn't been too hard to get the sand, it had taken her a great deal of time and now she was on traveling on her own because of this quest. Go to Task 2 Task 2: Quote: Her next task is for you to go to Lake Tyluafel and bring back some of its healing waters. This will take IC time to get there and back. Feel free to RP whatever adventures or misadventures you have along the way.Roll 1d100. 1-20: Failure! You get the water but as you go back to Anodyne, disaster strikes and the container is broken and the water drains away into the ground. Go to Failure.21-99: Success! You get the water and return to Anodyne. You may choose to give the water to her or say you failed (if you do this you keep the water). Go to Success if you give it to her. Go to Failure if you keep it.100: You get 2 of the item! You may choose to keep them both or give one to Anodyne. Go to Success if you give one to her. Go to Failure if you keep both.Another trip to Serenia? Why could she not have just given you both tasks at the same time? While the reward seemed worth it in the beginning she wasn't so sure about it now. She sighed and left the cave, knowing that she'd go to Serenia no matter what she thought. Once Ara promised something, she didn't go back on her word. This time her task was to go to the northern lake of Serenia. Great, it was rumored to be guarded lately. She made her way into town and to the docks to head back to Serenia. The trip back was boring and uneventful and over much slower than the first had been. Probably because she had had company then. Areceli thought about visiting her mom in Serenia but decided against it. She wouldn't even know she was back if she didn't stop and say anything. So she shot straight for the exit closest to Tyluafel. As she got closer to the lake, she slowed down. No need to hurry at this point when stealth might be the best answer for her. As she reached the brush that lined the lake she peeked out carefully. Not seeing anyone coming she darted out of the forest, reaching for the flask at the same time. She dipped the flask into the healing lake, the scars on her fingers tingling from the contact of the water. Araceli quickly put a cork in the flask and back into her back. Doing so just in time as she heard footsteps, quickly followed by voices. She didn't wait around too long to find out who it was. She set off back into the forest and back to town where she caught a ride back to Eowyn and back to Anodyne. Go to Success.

If you give her two of one item, she thanks you profusely but hands you back one saying she doesn't need both. Go to the next Task or Final if you have just finished Task 3.Araceli was beginning to grow tired of these errands. It just seemed to her like the Drakeinian didn't want to do all of this traveling. With a heavy sigh, Ara headed back out into the desert. She didn't even have to knock this time. The door was flung open and she was greeted warmly. "Just in time!" Anodyne said with relief in her voice. Ara couldn't help but with be please with herself when she pulled the water out of her pack and Anodyne's face lit up. Go to Taks 3. Task 3: Quote: Her last and final task is for you to go back to Serenia once again and go look along Lake Tyluafel‘s eastern bank in the early morning and look for a softly glowing herb called the Gold Petalia. This will take IC time to get there and back. Feel free to RP whatever adventures or misadventures you have along the way.Rol 1d100. 1-20: Failure! You search but can’t find the herb. Go to Failure.21-99: Success. You find the herb and return to Anodyne. You may choose to give the plant to her or say you failed (if you do this you keep the light herb). Go to Success if you give it to her. Go to Failure if you keep it.100: You get 2 of the item! You may choose to keep them both or give one to Anodyne. Go to Success if you give one to her. Go to Failure if you keep both.Araceli was tired of running around. So this time when she headed back to Serenia she stopped to visit with her mom. It was dark out, anwyay, and the herb could only be found in the early mornings. She sat and talked with her mom for a couple of hours, telling her what all she had had to do to help Anodyne. Her mother frowned at the prospect of her having to go back to Lake Tyluafel. Ara just shrugged and told her that she had a job to do. She curled up on the couch shortly after and got a few hours of sleep in before she awoke to head to the lake. Araceli awoke to find a book and a note setting on the table in front of the couch she had fallen asleep on. She sat up and read it. Ara hunny, I had to go to a meeting early. I thought this book might come in handy to help you with your next task. Please be careful.
~Love, Mom.
PS; Look at page 31. Araceli looked down at the book and realized it was herbs. She flipped to page 31 as per her mother's instructions and found a little tid bit of information about the herb she was suppose to find. With the picture memorized she headed out after leaving a note of thanks to her mom. After having found her way to the lake once, it was rather easy for her to do so a second time. She stayed close to the edge of the forest this time, so as to be able to quickly duck in if someone came close. It took the better part of an hour before she finally noticed the soft glow of the herb a distance off. she hurried over, being careful to pluck it and stick it into her pack. She hurried back to the dock to catch the earliest ride back to Eowyn. Go to Success

The ride she'd been on coming back to Eowyn had run into problems and they had been delayed at the docks in Serenia. So when she finally arrived at Anodyne's door she had to knock a few times before the Drakeinian answered. She quickly shot into the cave without being invited and sat her pack down. She lifted the herb gently out and handed it over to Anodyne with a huge smile on her face. After so many failed dragon hunts, it finally looked like something was going right for her. Go to Final

Final: Quote: If you gave Anodyne all 3 of the items, then you receive the Aedaun Orb and Ysali Dragon's Tear. If she only receives 2 out of the 3 items then you receive an Aiskala Orb instead. If she receives only one item then you only get a Firani Orb. If she gets nothing she sends you away with nothing but her disappointment and a a declaration that you need to try harder not to fail. Anodyne praised Araceli. She was so happy with the fact that she had gotten all three items that couldn't stop thanking her. Ara held her hands out as the Drakeinian retrieved the promised items. "Thank you!" Ara said as she bowed. Taking the orb and the tear, she placed them into her pack. "Do stop by again, my dear. I could use the company." Ara gave a nod as she took her leave and headed back to Serenia to spend some much needed time with her mom.
