Komiyama is a child at heart. With big dreams, he strives for excellence with a positive attitude and will try over and over and over again until he gets it right- or at least until he's satisfied with the results. Although he acts immature and sly sometimes, make that a lot of the time, he always keeps in mind that he must do the "adult" thing: the right thing.
The cheeky little b*****d is always getting himself injured, thus showing up everyday with a new scar or bandage. Despite his laid-back attitude, he encourages the students to do their homework and pay attention in his class. It's always rewarded with a freebie day (a.k.a Komiyama-sensei snoozing).

↬ Ｗｅａｐｏｎｓ↬ Ｂｉｏ A far and distant descendant of Komiyama, Hiroshi, Masato followed in his family's footsteps of becoming a scientist. Like his ancestor, he majored in chemical engineering and was the youngest president of the University of Tokyo for a time (age twenty-two) before retiring that position (wanting to pursue other knick-knacks).
Despite his looks, appearing as a high schooler, Masato is actually fifty-seven years old and aging. Because of a freakish accident during one of his experiments, his genes have mutated, giving him his supernatural powers. Now, his eyes appear soulless and cat-like. They range from turning a blueish-gray tint to a golden brown from another experiment of his. Usually, he himself is his own lab rat.
↬ Ｗｈｙ Ｄｉｄ Ｙｏｕｒ Ｃｈａｒａｃｔｅｒ Ｂｅｃｏｍｅ Ａ Ｔｅａｃｈｅｒ? "I simply became a teacher to have a salary and some lenience from the government." He grins from ear to ear, sheepishly. "Just kidding (although there is some truth to that). To put it in words... that's kind of hard. I guess I just want to spread my awesome knowledge to the younger generations- maybe even become a role model, heh. I just don't want the students to be naive and in the dark. Knowledge is power, and with this incredible opportunity and access that these particular students have to it, I think they should grasp it and I think I have a lot to offer them. None of them should have to suffer the consequences of an experiment gone wrong--- unless it's fate (like mine)." He laughs all the while, especially at his last words. Komiyama's face is sincere and innocent enough.
