Adam had been hiding in the remains of the destroyed Curiosity Coast Staff Building, like the weak, lily livered, anxiety-ridden man that he was. He hadn't been attacked, yet. The only injuries he suffered were from that damn sewer pipe falling into the godforsaken palm tree.
Then, he saw something strange. He had been seeing strange things the entire time he had been to Monster Park, so this was another event to add to the list. Some guy came out like the Batman, left a map, and...flew away with a Bathook or something.
"Errr, um, what?" There really were no words for this.
He looked at the map. It was crappy. Really crappy. Like, someone on the side of the street made this and not a professional cryptographer. But it would have to do. The safe place described by it sounded better than where he was now.
He came out of hiding and began following the map.

So far, Adam's journey went well enough. It was quiet, except for the cries of gulls, the wind, and the sound of the waves crashing against the sands. "I hope this keeps up."

So far, so good. It was still quiet. Adam had made it so far away from the Curiosity Coast Staff Building that he couldn't even hear any of the sounds associated with it anymore. Not with his headphones on, anyway. He didn't plan to take those off anytime soon. The last thing he needed was a migraine cherry on top of his despair sundae.

There was nothing like peace and quiet to make a man feel at ease. He was already half way to the safe place, according to the map. But Adam knew he couldn't afford such a feeling now. He didn't want any monsters to take advantage of that, so he stayed ever vigilant. He kicked at rocks before stepping over them. He walked around any suspicious looking piles of dirt and leaves. He looked up in trees before ducking under twigs.

A monster stampeded past him and knocked a pebble loose. That pebble hit Adam right in the knee. He winced and gnashed his teeth. He didn't want to cry out for fear that the monster would come back. Only that time for him.

It was quiet again. Fortunately, Adam had finally made it to the location specified by the map. "Good riddance!" He let himself ease up and he skipped on up to the building.
