They weren't even half way down the mountain when Cora saw it as plain as day.
An SUV
Turning to Tonio, she grins at him "Your driving, you saw what I did to that four wheeler." sprinting towards the SUV, she tugs on the passenger door before climbing inside.

What a sight for sore eyes, the SUV was like a McDonald's sign right about now to the man. A golden arch of hope, shining right in front of him. Needless to say by the time Cora started sprinting towards the SUV, he was right on her heels, "you got it." Chuckling he climbed into the drivers seat, tapped on the screen like he had seen Les on their first tour, only to sigh in dismay when nothing happened. Turning the key relief washed over as the SUV started, whelp time to go old school.
And they were off!

Cora couldn't believe it, with Tonio behind the wheel they were okay. Looking over at him, she smirks before she turns back to keep her eyes on the path ahead of them.

Everything was alright, at least for now it would seem. He wasn't going to lie, the further they got down the mountain the more cautious and like an elderly man he drove. Eyes on the road he drove them on, hoping their good luck kept, but knowing not to hold his breath.

And still they drove, no monster coming after them. Lifting out of her seat a little, she peeks out the window almost half expecting to see a Cerberus and a dragon following them just for kicks.
Sitting back down, she leans back and breaths in slow.

The drive was peaceful, too peaceful, and left him expecting the top of the SUV to get ripped off at any moment. Tonio glanced down to the map on the piece of paper and then looked up, "almost there I think..." He talked to keep himself calm, the silence and honest moment of relaxation getting to him. Turning to Cora he offered a smile then shook his head looking back to the road.

Glancing back at Tonio, she slips her hand on his thigh and gives it a squeeze "We're almost there, just like you said." she was actually rather calm, which was surprising her.
Seriously, why was it calm?

Moving a hand from the wheel he places it over the one on his thigh, "yes.." It wouldn't be much longer now, hopefully. Green eyes darted to the rear-view of the SUV, looking behind them expectantly until he remembered that Les would no longer be following them. Gaze falling back to the road he squeezed Cora's hand tightly.

Then she heard is a rumble as a large demon dog comes charging out o the forest. Cursing, she gives Tonio hand a squeeze "Get out of the SUV and book it Tonio. We got company!"

Looking into the mirror after the rumble he saw the trees bending under the weight of the demon dog that was bounding out of the forest. Wide eyed he shook his head at Cora and gives a sharp turn of the wheel to avoid a hit to the SUV's side. "Hang on tight!" Then promptly gunned it like a drag racer as they spun around, zooming them off.

Cora blinks before she grabs onto the seat thanks to Tonio's stunt. Snapping her eyes shut, she only opens them when she realizes she wasn't hearing the sound the the demon dog anymore as the suv drove further away from it.
