Hel had taken to wandering around Amity every day for the past few Octobers now, and in her time, she had scoured almost every inch of the school grounds… Except for one in particular. Color her surprised when in her no-destination-set travels, she happened to come across a somewhat hidden garden…on school grounds! The reaper had immediately halted at one end, and just stared over garden with slightly wide eyes. Woah! Whose garden was this…? Was it Mac’s? Was Mac keeping a secret garden and not telling her? What a jerk…

He'd left his garden in complete disarray.
It was a shame, really. A crying shame, but Ren had been so busy with getting his new toy (read: badass artifact), as well as trying to figure out what to do for their impending graduation that he had, sadly, neglected what had once been his little place of solace.
But this was all about to change because he really wanted fresh vegetables. Besides, gardening was cathartic. Gardening kept his mind off of more stressful things. Gardening was nice.
Gardening was apparently trying to keep people off of your garden.
There was a figure standing at the edge of his garden when Ren rounded the corner - a figure that was, thankfully, not Calder-shaped, which was already a positive, though Ren had been keeping his garden a relative secret for a few years now and wasn't entirely certain he was up for public visits just yet. Still, it had the occasional stranger wander across it.
Like today.
"Er," said Ren, wings rustling a little. "Can I...help you with something?"

Hel was just busy looking it over and thinking back to her piss poor attempts to garden, and then of course, her future garden! She snapped out of her thoughts as a voice spoke up, and the ghoul’s head whirled around to see who was speaking to her. She blinked a bit, sizing up the new comer, and squinted. She had wanted to say that she had seen him around before…but it was hard to say. “…Ya!” She finally replied, and then pointed at the garden. “Is this yours?”

She looked vaguely familiar. Ren squinted a little, trying to place her.
"It, er, is," he said, after a moment's hesitation because well he wasn't technically supposed to even have a garden and plus he was supposed to be a carnivore.
"Supposed to" being the operative word. He stuck out a hand.
"I'm Ren!"

Hel blinked as the boil seemed to hesitate. Why? Was he like…ashamed of this or something? Hel looked back at the garden. Even if it was…”over grown” she still thought it was pretty awesome! As someone who was horrible at this sort of thing well…just about anything looked really awesome in comparison to her attempts. The reaper moved over to Ren though as he held out a hand and introduced himself. She took the offered hand firmly in her own and gave it a hearty shake. “Hel.” She returned. “How long have you had this for?” She asked, jabbing a thumb over her shoulder at the garden.

"Hel!" Ren snapped his fingers together as though something has just dawned in his head. "Right! Yes! Hel! You are - you are - "
A long pause.
"You're someone familiar but since I can't remember, you'll just be Hel the Fabulous for now."
Ren glanced back at the garden, eyes flickering across the overgrown weeds that were in desperate need of plucking. "Er," he said. "Well, technically I've had it since I started school three years ago, but, er, as you can see, it's a little neglected as of late."

A dark brow rose as Ren snapped his fingers, as if he recalled her from somewhere…and he pretty much busted himself out at the end of his statement. A moment of silence, followed by a cricket chirp…and then Hel laughed, and clapped the gryphon on the back. Luckily she wasn’t at all offended. “Fabulous, eh?” She echoed. “But I want to be Hel the Torturous instead!” Her gaze turned back to the garden as well, and her mouth made an ‘oh’ shape. “That is neat!” She cried, and then turned to the boil excitedly. “Can I help you shape it up!?” No, Ren. Don’t let her. Don’t let her.
