If someone had asked her 'Why the Monster Dorms?', she wouldn't have had an answer. It was a general fact that the Monster Dorms were one of the loudest, but it was there she chose to take some well-deserved alone time. Her room was out due to DC, and her whole dorm was written off due to...certain creatures within. She thought about going elsewhere, but today her heart was set on the Monster Dorm Roof.
It would be the last place for her usual group to check, after all.
The Patchwork ghoul had wandered in without a second glance, and headed straight to the roof to find a fairly comfortable spot to lay down, curling one hand behind her head while the other scratched and pet the new scars on the bone that made up one side of her face. An eternal reminder of her bout with that blonde, boomerang-wielding Hunter...
Amrita let out a sigh and closed her eye, her hand sliding away from her face to rest on her unmoving stomach. It was nice to just relax under the pumpkin sun...Amon Larethian Hello I suck at opening posts BUT HERE YOU GO <3

Amrita would not be alone on the roof for long, the solitude broken by the presence of another. He was a frequent visitor to the roof, leaving his own dorm by the widow, perching on the sill for only a brief moment before his wings carried him to the roof. In his wake would follow a smaller creature, the cat of evil, off to wander the roof in his nightly terror of whatever small critters dared lurk about. Sheridan only shot a glance at his cat as it slunk off across the roof. The evil ball off fluff would return before the night was over, and it gave his room and his other pets a brief respite. "Stay out of trouble." Wings stretched, a flick of his tail as he looked out over the rooftop, searching for the best place to settle for a little quiet time of his own. He enjoyed the roof, it was quiet and peaceful, and the perfect place to watch the stars. Hmmm? A look around the roof had revealed he wasn't alone. Not that he objected to sharing his roof, far from it, it had simply been unexpected. "Hello."

Amrita didn't mind the company and was more than willing to ignore the creature that decided to make the roof their quiet space too. Unfortunately the silence didn't last long, and though she was hoping it would she wasn't too terribly upset that it was broken.
"Hey." She raised her hand, waving it limply before letting it fall back onto her stomach. Her eye peeked open to look at the boil, and eventually sat up. No matter how tired she was, it just wouldn't do to be rude! Besides, he was familiar - very familiar - and she couldn't bring herself to leave it alone.
"How're you today?"

Sheridan recognized the ghoul well enough, but though he knew who she was, he didn't know her well enough that it was likely either would consider the other much more than an acquaintance or perhaps a friend of a friend. "What brings you up here?" It was a friendly question, curiosity in his voice. He could not recall ever seeing her on the roof before. Well, that might have been a silly thought, considering it was not often he encountered anyone but his own cat on the roof.

"Uhh...not much. A little peace and quiet from the norm, yanno? I'm never up here, so I thought it'd be good for me." Amrita wrapped her patchy, stitch-ridden arms around her knees, which she had drawn against her chest. "Sometimes you just need a breather, yanno?" Why she was being so open was beyond her, but it may have had something to do with his not being in her usual circle of friends. She could tell him things, and not worry too much about him being too concerned.
"What about you? This is your dorm, isn't it? Come here often?" There was a slight pause, followed by a short chuckle. "--I'm sorry, I didn't mean to sound cheesy!"

Sheridan nodded, his tail flicking lightly back and forth. He certainly understood, as they all did he assumed, the need to escape, to find that quiet place to enjoy even just a moment of peace. Such moments had become far to uncommon, or perhaps it was that it seemed said moments were needed more often. "I enjoy it up here. It's peaceful, and the best place to watch the stars." Well, it was normally peaceful, at least it was when the cat of evil wasn't stalking his tail, but the cat was off stalking other things at that moment. He smiled, deciding it would be more polite if he sat on the roof across from her, rather than her having to continue looking up at him. "It's not often that I meet anyone else up here."
