Alfheim's concentration didn't break when he was grabbed by the arm, but he suddenly felt exhausted when he realized he had pulled more than one passenger to to his wonder.
They were in the field again, and apparently on another hemisphere, because instead of being midnight, the sun was shining in glaring morning light over them.
"Oh ********," Alfheim groaned, collapsing in the grass as he usually did.
Zia moved to prop herself up on her hands over him. "As much as I love you for picking this place, I am still telling on you to your mother."
Her rib cage hurt, man.
And then there was still the awkward problem of Orpheus. "I didn't even realize chaos beings could come on these trips..." She mused. She ended up crawled over to Orpheus instead, grabbing the sides of his face to inspect his eyes. Nope, same color. "Are you all here? Did you feel different? Did you make the journey in one piece?"

Sailor Orpheus didn't like being transported randomly to places. he didn't like being transported to the Surrounding, out of the Surrounding, pushed through a mirror into mirrospace, pushed out of a mirror back to Earth and now to top his list he didn't like being transported what appeared to be half way around the world. His amber eyes were wide, and if he hadn't already been tossed into the fray that had been mirrospace then he might not have handled the situation as well. Of course, his version of well did involve some ******** hell," he yelled as he held his hand to his head.
His body cried out to him, and his breath fell in and out until Zia grabbed hold of him for inspection. There his eyes looked at her like she was crazy, his hands grabbing her own wrists momentarily to stop her.
"I feel like someone threw me into a ******** dryer and spit me out," he said with a sigh. Why was she asking if he was all right though? It brought concern to his own face for a second as his eyes went from her face to her chest to her abdomen and then lingered momentarily on her hips before finally checking to ensure she still had legs.
"Where the hell are we?" He asked.

Zia's whole body jerked when he grabbed her wrists. She did not react well to being grabbed in general, and her forearm was still wrapped concealing stitches from the whole carnival debacle which made the tension even worse.
And then his eyes went down her figure, and it sent some serious chills down her spine.
She recoiled as soon as she could, and paused. Her first instinct was to cling to her brother. Even as adults she had a terrible habit of running to him the way she'd done as a small child. But realizing her audience she stopped, just sort of looked at him, and fell back to sit in the grass alone and avoiding contact with either body present.
"Oh, well," She cleared her throat, trying to get over that moment. "We're in Alfheim! The wonder, that is. This is it's knight but he's not a knight yet. He's Page Alfheim and he's kind of... I dunno, he doesn't do well here," She laughed, reaching over to poke at his head.
Alfheim was usually half catatonic in the field when they arrived, it was really nothing new. But when Zia got close, he grabbed her wrist and sat up. There was a different tone here now, he meant business.
"When you find a dead body or an injured person in the street, it's usually a good idea to call the cops," He snarled. He was incredibly unhappy everyone was just forgetting the dead girl.
Zia reacted to this wrist grab about as well as any other time she was physically touched this way, and all their lightness and familiarity seemed to fly out the window with Alfheim's darkened expression and her frantic attempt to pull away from him, clutching her arm to her chest when she got it back and looking downright disturbed about it. "God, she was already dead anyway," She half lied, "It doesn't matter."
"It does. And with... that?" A a hand was flippantly waved in Orpheus' direction to indicate he was 'that'.
"Oh, so you can be friends with pretty little Mimi, but I talk to a Dark Mirror type and you're acting like it's a federal crime."

Sailor Orpheus looked piqued for a moment and then he crossed his arms, looking around him. He didn't know anything about pages, squires or knights and he certainly didn't know anything about wonders. He might have been a senshi but as a Dark Mirror senshi he didn't even know about homeworlds or whatnot. His expression fell to simple astonishment until Alfheim called him a 'that' and caused his face to turn to a scowl.
"I am not a that. I may not like it but I have a name, it's Orpheus."

"Yeah?" Alfheim frowned. "And what's your deal in all this? You know," He was having some 'talking with his hands' issues as sweeping and rapid motions were constantly made to try and get a grip on his loss of words.
"I've never really seen the whole Chaos equals a loss of humanity thing, but what kind of a*****e just stands over a dead girl and doesn't even try to call for help? People like you are probably why your court has such a bad reputation."
"Well, she was dead, it wasn't like an EMT was going to resuscitate her," Zia snorted in a half hearted defense of Orpheus and flopped back to be propped up on her hands in the grass.
Well, until Alfheim half got up to get in her face, and yell. Which was absolutely jarring to Zia on a level outside of just having someone yell in close proximity to your face, because her brother didn't usually yell at her and when he did it was in over the top exasperation. There was rarely genuine rage.
"She was a human being, Zia. She probably wasn't more than a few years younger than you, and her family's probably out looking for her right now. What the ******** is wrong with you? I'm sick of you playing psycho, it's not funny anymore."

"The faster you understand that nothing would have saved her the better off you'll be. I've seen it before, and her starseed was long gone. There was no coming back from that and she was beyond help. Would you prefer people waste their time and resources that could be spent saving someone else trying to save someone who can't be saved? Seems idiotic to me," he said quite bitterly, his rage simmering up as he considered what Alfheim had said at the end until finally the top of the kettle blew off from the pressure.
"I don't ******** have a court, and while we're at it that court you're talking about certainly doesn't need me to get a bad reputation, so stop acting like you know me. You can stop acting like you're above me, all high and mighty, mister perfect old man who gets into a fight with teenagers more than half his age," he said, kicking the ground below his feet with enough force to uplift some soil with his shoe.

Alfheim glared at Orpheus with such an intense frown there was a well defined crease between his brows.
He stood up and got out of Zia's face, and just kind of looked at the ground.
It was another in a long series of issues he was being told to just accept. Chaos is bad, you can't talk your way out of everything, and some people can't be saved. Especially after they've lost their soul.
Souls were still something he was still grappling with. He knew something was wrong with Zia's, but she wouldn't go into detail. He knew a nega could steal one away and that was what had happened tonight.
But he also knew if someone had acted, maybe not Orpheus and Zia necessarily, but someone, she didn't have to be dead. Maybe if they showed up with a little more urgency, maybe if they made a bigger deal about it, she would've at least gone out with someone, somewhere making an effort on her behalf. But she wasn't, and she had been degraded to the faceless, nameless victim of the night.
"...No," He ended up stating obstinately before he turned to walk away. At least before he got hit with something. A strange burst of sensations that seemed to come from the pull his wonder had on him, like his stupid attempt to be pacifistic and idealistic was worth applauding.
He found his head swimming, and his a** clothed in some slightly different leathers than before.
"The ******** is this s**t?" He managed to choke out before he collapsed in the field again. As usual, when things were happening.
His poor confused head landed close enough to where Zia was still sitting on the grass that she leaned over on one arm and started playing with his hair. "Aw, big baby's growing up," She cooed, trying to forget all the fighting that had happened moments earlier.

Sailor Orpheus mentally cringed when the power signal that Alfheim oozed got stronger than it had been when they originally met. He understood what it meant, and it meant he was going to be slightly more pleasant before. He was still pissed off though, so his pleasantries came in silence. He watched as Zia congratulated Alfheim and he found himself wondering if she would be as excited if he were to upgrade. It wasn't anything he ever really considered because he didn't want to be associated with the Dark Mirror senshi anymore than he already was but if the enemies that Zia associated herself with got stronger and he didn't then eventually he knew what it meant. Eventually he would be unable to save her.
Uneasy, Orpheus' body unconsciously shuffled as he thought.

Zia chose to ignore Orpheus' mysterious uneasiness. She wanted to leave all the angst and drama behind and forget that her brother yelled at her, and that he probably thought she was morbid and disgusting.
"Hey!" She chirped as she popped up in Orpheus' face with almost no warning. "Wanna go see the city? There's nothing alive in there but," She lifted the carved stone pendent around her neck to show off. "There's a lot of really nice artifacts in there. I've never been one for archeology, buuuut..."
