Some time had passed from when Burrom has escorted Lien and her son to the sage on Ary. It had been a very beneficial trip as it had been bothering him for awhile on how he was going to get Tilawen to meet with any sage given her ...breeding. The man was eager to get the girl grown up and out of his hair, so he had been spending a lot of time gathering orbs on her behalf and working extra jobs to perhaps bribe the sage with some gold. Right now he had instructed Tilawen to stay at home, for he was going out and per usual the girl never questioned him but gave him that haunting look before nodding her head slightly.
Those glowing orbs in her skull always caused shivers to go up his spine. How he had ended up with her as a daughter he would blame alcohol. Since the incident that had led up to her birth he had vowed the stuff off. Nothing was worse than having your mistake staring you in the face day in and day out. It became unnerving.
Wrapping his cloak around his body the spear-man braved the harsh winds to locate the small cave that housed the strange sage. He was just lucky that there was one on Ayr and he didn't have to travel further afield to try and locate or threaten one. Stopping before the entrance he looked up at it before shaking his head and entering.
"Sage?" He called out as he kicked snow off of his boots at the mouth of the cave he didn't enter until he was sure that someone was home.

The big Kiandri Dovaa lifted his gaze from the book he was pouring over when he heard a voice calling out to him, not one that he was expecting either. Really the only that should be around, well around provided his current training had been finished off anyway was Junjie and that was most certainly not the boy's voice. Pushing himself to his feet he started toward the door, electric energy started to crackle around his fist just in case. There were always those who might not look too kindly upon what he was doing in helping the little halfbreed whelp, might as well be ready to knock this guy senseless if the need arose.
Coming to stand in the opening to the cave he found himself starring at someone familiar. This one... he'd been there when he picked up Junjie, hadn't he? An acquaintance of some sort to Lien, though what this one meant to her was anyone's guess. That girl was as hard to read as any female he thought to himself before he finally asked, "What is it you want here? If you here to start trouble you should turn around and go back the way you back. I'd rather not have to kick you off Ayr myself but I will." He said in a manner that said he could do so easily. What skill the man he was facing off had was anyone's guess but he would see if he could chase him off through sheer intimidation alone. It would surely make his day a whole lot easier he thought to himself before he waited to see if the guy was going to answer him as to why he was here or just turn tail and run. The reactions he got to his various threats were always different after all.

He couldn't help it but Burrom felt his body tense at the voice, his reaction was to become hostile with such a tone but he had to calm himself down. The dovaa wasn't here to start a fight, but he did note that there was crackling in the air and he had to remind himself that he didn't bring his spear with him.
"I am not here to make trouble. I am here to request your help." Burrom managed finally though he was having a hard time keeping his voice level. Counting backwards for ten he felt his muscle relax if reluctantly. "I escorted Lien and her boy if you recall...why would I come to make trouble now?" He inquired sounding a bit irritated, part of him wanting to challenge the sage here and now to a battle as he hated being viewed as the weaker of the two.

He wasn't here to make trouble, he was here to request his help. It was a statement that seemed to intrigue the Dovaa Sage and the man allowed his gathered power to ease off some, "Is that so?" He murmured, giving the man a once over. He supposed that he could at least listen to his request, right? Not as though anything he could ask for would be as complicated as what Lien had requested of him after all. After a time he finally relented, nodding his head, "Do come in then. It's not much but it is my home for a time." There wasn't much to it, a small table and chairs, a few books, a bed, and a cot. He saw no reason to keep a bunch of stuff that he really didn't need, especially not in a cave, only the bare essentials.
"I remember your face from when Lien brought her son to me. It's been a while and I might be older then you, but it doesn't mean that my mind is going already." He told Burrom before he turned to look over at him, giving a chuckle, "Why would you make trouble now? I could list the reasons that anyone would find legitimate ones for bothering me but instead of wasting our time with such a thing how about you instead tell me what brings you to my windy part of the world? I somehow doubt it was just for a simple chat." What was it that this one could want of him? He doubted that it was anything to do with Lien or her son, he was just bringing them up to show that he wasn't around to cause trouble after all. No, something else had brought him here and the Sage was quite curious.
Taking a seat at one of the small chairs, his size making it look that much smaller, he motioned to the one across from him, "Come, sit, and tell me what brings you out here." Ayr was a place that people came only when they wanted to challenge the Ayrala, it was why he'd made his home here, and despite that he seemed to still get a lot of guests. He might want to consider moving elsewhere he thought to himself, especially if it were so easy to find him.

The dovaa had to remind himself to remain civil, if he wanted the sages help he would half to make sure that he didn't offend him. It was going to be hard.... for normally he would agree with the people who would want to start trouble with the sage. But...given that he had his own ..mistake haunting him he couldn't really say much at all about it.
Moving inside he was sure to stay several feet away from the sage, a measure of ..respect as well wariness filled the man as he glanced about the inside of the cave. Last time he was here he didn't enter the cave but had remained outside. When he was instructed to sit, he almost flat out refused but seeing this as being stubborn as well stupid he gave a small nod of his head before he went to sit down. A pack sliding off of his back and shoulder he sat it beside him as it was filled with the items he had hoped to bribe the sage with.
"I am here...for similar reasons as Lien was." The man with fiery red hair finally managed to get out. After all he couldn't remain silent forever.

The Sage watched quietly as the other man seemed to be struggling with something internal before finally both coming inside as well as coming to sit down at his table. Good, he was glad to see that the man was willing to treat with him, there were many that wouldn't do so were they to find out what it was that he was up to. When the man started to speak, explaining what drew him here to Ayr and to the Sage the Kiandri Dovaa gave a slow nod of his head, "Ah, yes. It would seem as though our kind tend to have 'reasons' a lot more often then we would like to admit when it comes to the other races." It was why he was helping out, not as though the Orderites or the Oblivionites would look past their war and consider the children as more then just something that wasn't supposed to exist he thought to himself.
"The little one in the cloak, the one that refused to look at me when we last met, that was your reason, yes? Tell me about this child of yours and how I may aid the two of you." No reason to lead the many about any longer, he didn't want him to throw a fit after all. Best that they get down to the bare bones of it though he could guess what it was that he was after. If it was the same as Lien then it would be a special orb from one of the various clans to give to his young. The little ones couldn't go to the Dovaa homeland after all, they would be rejected, and it would be difficult for a parent to get an orb without looking suspicious or drawing attention. For someone like the Sage, one who was a teacher of the young, it was easier. Nobody seemed to really question him when he went in search of one of those grand orbs from time to time, especially when some of those he'd trained in the past were pure blooded Dovaa. He'd just mixed in the occasional hybrid was all.

Burrom nodded his head, noting that the sage had noticed Tilawen when they had met though he hadn't figured that she was hybrid yet. At least...he didn't think so. Fidgeting in his seat he glanced down at his bag again before giving a sigh and rubbing his temples.
"Yes....it is because of her that I am here. I am looking to get a orb like you gave to Junjie. Its time the girl grew up, but not many people will help in causes like that. I know you may ...as you had for the young boy I am just hoping you will do the same for the girl." It was obvious that Burrom wasn't going to claim that Tilawen was his daughter. "I can compensate you if you need convincing to help me."
His hand was reaching down for the pack first removing the sack of gold he had gathered up from his odd jobs.

The Sage leaned back in his chair, crossing his arms over his chest as Burrom explained the problem that he was having, the same one that Lien had it would seem. It did interest him in a way, how the Dovaa seemed to be more interested in other things then war when it came to the other races. He couldn't help but to wonder about the situation with this one, unrequited love or something else? The fact that he had made no mention of the girl's mother made him question if she were even in the picture. It wasn't his business though was it? He blamed his curiosity on the fact that he had few visitors in this place save for Junjie when he returned from various quests he sent him on.
After a moment he leaned forward, glancing at the gold that was placed before him, and then he gave a chuckle, "Trying to buy the aid of a Sage, geez, Burrom, I am surprised with you. Still, it would help in allowing me to stay out here a while longer. I find the quiet of Ayr to my liking." Less stress then being back home where there was always far too much going on. Reaching out he took hold of the bag, dragging it over and took from it just a few coins, enough to get the supplies he would need, then pushed the rest back over to him, "I am sure you that you and your daughter will need the rest. Return here in a weeks time and I will have your orb... now tell me, what clan does she wish to join?"

Burrom had never really asked the girl what clan she wanted to be apart of, he had just assumed she would choose Firani since that was his clan. So before he could really think about it he blurted out the answer.
"Firani. Like myself." He then gave a small frown, why would he want his daughter to choose the same class as himself? He had spent a better part of her life trying to deny her existence. Still now that he had said it and...said it with such fierce determination he couldn't go back on what he said.
Sighing he watched as the sage was ..perhaps too modest with his taking of coin and slipped the bag back towards himself. Reaching forward he opened the bag again before pulling out a few more gold coins and slipping them towards the sage.
"Your too generous. You said a week? Can it not be any quicker?"

"Firani? A good, strong Clan, though a destructive one as well. Be sure to teach her this so that she is able to keep such powers under control." He told Burrom, though he was sure that being a part of that clan that Burrom knew how dangerous the magics of a Firani Dovaa could be to those around them. Still, such powers could be master if one was willing to put in the time and effort required. As more coins were slid his way the Sage couldn't help but to laugh, gathering the offerings and tucked them away into his pocket before saying, "One week, Burrom. You must be aware of the time that it takes to get from Ayr to the Vortex, to the Celestial City, and back again. I am merely one man, not a God, Abronaxus didn't gift me with the power to just blink my way home. Only the Diabi and Aeduan have such power."
Rising to his feet he set to stretching out all over, giving a bit of a sigh as he looked around, "Alright, seems that I am going to need to packed up for another trip home. A shame you didn't let me know when I went to fetch the Ysali orb for Lien's son, it would have saved us both a lot of time. No matter though, I will get the item in question for you and then your daughter can become a part of her clan. I am sure she is looking forward to it, I know Junjie was quite excited." He said, moving to get his pack, starting to stuff things into it that he would need for his trip.

Burrom nodded his head at the explanation. It was still..going to be a long week, and boy Tilawen was going to be surprised...she didn't even know he was doing this for her. But the sooner the better, then he could finally be rid of her and live his life again.
"She will be thrilled...I am sure." Burrom stated with a slight hesitation in his tone. Standing up he went to ready his own pack now wondering why he had brought so much stuff with him. Perhaps he had anticipated some resistance at getting the sage to help him. Though Lien and Junjie hadn't had any issues with him.
"A week then...I will be back in a week. Be safe." Burrom stated with a nod of his head. A week...that would give him some time to get the girl in some fierce practice with her weapon.

Just as the Sage had promised a week later he was arriving back on Ayr, returning with more packs then he'd initially left with. In one arm were all manner of supplies that he would need to help him to continued to survive here, food and water, various books and scrolls to keep himself occupied, and many other things that Burrom's donation had allowed for. In the other packed, wrapped tightly in a piece of burlap, to keep it from drawing attention, was the grand Firani orb. He had pulled a few things strings with some of his contacts back home to get the orb quickly so that he could get back just as quickly. There were many that though his pilgrimage to Ayr was a strange one but given that he was a good teacher that took care of many students in the passed they overlooked his quirky nature for the moment.
As he arrived back in his cave the Kiandri Dovaa stretched out all over, tossed his packs down on his cot, and moved to hang up the one that was holding the grand orb, "Ahhh, home sweet home. How I missed the quiet of this place." He said, hearing the high winds outside and the roaring of a dragon in the distance he laugh, "Alright, the relative quiet then." He replied to said sounds before he moved to start to put things away where they belonged. The question now was how long it would take Burrom to arrive or if the man was already in the area, waiting like a puppy for him to get back with the treat that he was bringing with him. A thought that had him chuckling as he went about putting things away.

One would swear that Burrom had been waiting and watching for the sage to return home. For it was only minutes later there was a knock at the entrance of the cave to the sage's home. Burrom was prompt...and perhaps a bit too eager to claim the orb the sage had hopefully acquired for him. He had brought more coin just in case, and his spear this time.
The spear was mostly to use in case someone tried to mug him on the way home to get the precious item that he would have with him. The special orbs were difficult to get and that was why he had to seek the aid of the sage to get otherwise he would of just gotten one by himself.
"Was your trip successful?" He called out as he walked slowly into the cave.

Turning at the sound of Burrom's voice the Sage couldn't help but to give a bit of a chuckle, amused that it would seem his assumptions about his pup was right. So he had been waiting for him, huh? Giving him a smile he said, "It's nice to see you again too, Burrom." He said, as though the man had greeted him instead of asking straight away about the orb, "Yes, my trip was a nice one, good weather the whole way there, got to enjoy the cuisine of our home city, and I got some nice books while I was in the Celestial City, thank you for asking." He couldn't help but to grin, finding that it was a bit too easy to tease the too serious Burrom.
Taking a few steps forward the man took down the pack that he had recently hung up on the wall, walking over to his small table and eased the burlap wrapped item out, pulling back the rough cloth to allow him to see the object of the man's desire, "What do you think? This one is teeming with power, something I hope is worthy of your little girl?" He said, holding it out to him to look over. He really was too serious, just look at the look on his face, as though he thought that he may have failed to get the orb. He really did need to relax, didn't he? "Go ahead and take it, look it over, I am sure you can feel the power of the orb even more strongly then I can being Firani yourself." He was more then certain that the man would be able to sense the roaring power of various Firani souls that had been sealed into the grand orb, something that would change his daughter, help her to become something as powerful and beautiful as the orb.
"Just remember that she needs to break this herself, even if you are her parent it isn't your place to interfere with this final test." He told him, waving one finger at the man as though he felt he needed to remind him that helping with such a thing wasn't Burrom's place. Some parents were far too hands on after all and needed a friendly reminder.

Burrom couldn't help but sag a bit and look rather irritated by the sage's response. Okay so he could of been more polite and asked about his well his TRIP went rather than be a spoiled brat and demand to know if he brought him back a toy. Well..not really a toy, just a very special item. His irritation was brief though as the sage went to take a sack off the wall and then reveal to him the contents.
Moving in closer it reminded him of his own younger days, how he had been so very excited to be granted such a precious item. Though...how he was going to present it to Tilawen was still up in the air.
"I can sense the power within it..." Burrom trailed off as he went to take ahold of the orb. The hairs on his arm prickling with the sensation as he held it. "You do well.." The rest of what the sage was saying was lost on deaf ears and he felt that he wanted to crush the orb himself again to feel that rush of power.... shaking his head he realized...he was being instructed.
"What? Oh..yes I know. I went through the same trails when I was a boy.."
