Araceli fooled with the boa around her neck, adjusting it out of a nervous habit of her’s. Serenia’s woods surrounded her on all sides. She had been sent out on her first dragon hunt by her father. She let out a large sigh. “I can do this.” She mumbled as she began exploring the forest. Her task was to find and defeat a Ysali dragon. She didn’t have much practice at slaying dragons, so she really wasn’t too sure on what to do once she did find said dragon.

Soon enough, she found what she was looking for. However, this did not look like a full grown dragon. A baby, maybe? Araceli crouched down, trying to be stealthy as she could. She inched closer to the small Ysali dragon. The usually rambunctious Dovaa was not use to being quiet and therefore did not sneak very well. Having not watched where she was going, her foot stepped onto a twig and it made a very loud snapping noise in the otherwise quiet forest.


The dragon’s head snapped up. It was on alert now. “Shoot.” Araceli grumbled to herself. So much for sneaking up on the beast now. She rose to her full height, which wasn’t very tall, with her hands on her hips. “Now see here dragon! You’re going to let me slay you whether you like it or not!” Her haughty attitude streamed forth as she demanded of the dragon.

Araceli’s eyes widened as the dragon grunted out what was probably meant as a roar and took off in the opposite direction of her. “HEY! Come back here!” She took off running after the smaller creature, weaving in and out of the trees of the forest. “I didn’t say you could run away dragon!” She huffed out as she tried to keep up with the Ysali dragon.
