xX Tribal Grounds Xx

So, if you're here, that means one of two things: either you're interested in joining a tribe, or interested in making one. Well, great! But there are a few things to keep in mind either way. Of course, first and foremost, follow all ToS, shop, guild, and roleplay rules!

In case things are a little confusing, I'll explain what you'll find in this sub-forum~

-Welcome Post: Where you are now! This thread details how to join and make a tribe!~
-Tribal Applications: Think your tribe is ready to become official? Post your forms here!
-Tribal Certing: After the initial certings for the first members of a newly official tribe, all members after will need to be posted here for re-certing and tattooing!

All official tribes are made into stickies, so that they stay above the test tribes but below the important threads. All test tribes are the default normal thread styles, and only one tribe thread is allowed per person! This means you may not make three test tribes in hopes one will make it. One thread, one tribe. If you need to re-make your tribe thread, just put [DELETE] in the old one's title and you're good to go!~

Any OOC chatter should go in the main shop, aim, or pm's, please and thank you~

((of course, any little tidbits along the way may be posted in double parentheses size 9~))

xX Joining a Tribe Xx

Joining a tribe is easy! If your Aloyarc meets the standards of a tribe member, send a PM of the application form to the tribes owner! From there it is up to the owner to accept your Aloyarc or not, and if accepted you will be told you are allowed to make your first post!

When making your first post, be sure to include your Aloyarc's cert so that everyone knows who it is. Be courteous to those already participating in the group roleplay, and be mindful of who does what. Also keep in mind, each tribe has rules, so be sure to follow those as well!~

Joining a tribe is supposed to be for life, so think carefully before you just throw in your Aloyarc. Once you join, post your Aloyarc in the Tribal Certing thread to be re-certed and tattooed. Only adults and perma-kits may join tribes and receive the tattoo. Only adults and perma kits may get this tattoo. If a kit is born into a tribe, when they reach adulthood they may choose to stay and accept the mark, or leave. You may not roleplay your Aloyarc in the tribe until a decision has been made. Once tattooed, it cannot be removed without scarring, and is only to be removed if the member leaves or is banished.

xX Tribe Ranks Xx

When you join a tribe, you will notice there are ranks that your Aloyarc can be. Each rank has a different role, and the general descriptions are listed below. Some variations may occur, to fit the particular tribe.

Elder- The leader of the tribe, and one of two ranks that receive dreams from the Gods. The Elder is responsible for keeping the tribe within bounds and making sure all is as it should be.

Healers- These are the doctors of the tribe. When an Aloyarc is sick or injured the Healers are the ones who take care of them. They also take care of expecting mothers, giving them herbs to help ease their pains and sickness, and promote a healthy litter of kits. They work with the Gatherers to obtain things they need and keep a stock in one of the dens. (two-three max)

Hunters- These Aloyarc work as both the guard-cats and, of course, hunters, for a tribe. They are send out into the tribal lands to bring back prey, and called upon when an escort is needed to venture beyond boundaries. They are mostly the muscle of a tribe, and must be skilled at fighting and survival.

Gatherers- These are the vegetation focused Aloyarc. They are to know which plants, berries, and fruits are safe to eat, as well as which ones are poisonous or used in medicinal purposes. They go out into the tribe lands to find vegetation to bring back for food or to take to the healers.

Runners- The Runners are the scouts of the tribe. They patrol the borders and relay messages between tribes when necessary. The Runners are also in charge of bringing in any wanders or wounded to shelter and feed and give the option of staying.

Caretakers- These Aloyarc take care of the kits, teach them the ropes of the tribe. They are to be knowledgable of all the tribal ranks so that the kits can learn at an early age. They also need to be good parental figures, so the kits will trust them to be there when the parents are away doing their jobs. As well as caring for kits, the Caretakers keep watch over expecting mothers and their boxes when they arrive, in charge of maintaining a stable and healthy environment for the mothers and newborns.

Members- The regular Aloyarc of the tribe. While they do not have a certain job to do, they are encouraged to assist the others in any way they can.

xX Making a Tribe Xx

Step One: Decide the basis for your tribe. What do you want this group to be formed on? The love of art? Nature? A certain belief? Think of religions, think of clubs. These things are all groups founded on one solid thing. Once you have an idea in mind, you can move on to step two~

Step Two: Decide what types of Aloyarc you will want in your tribe. If the tribe is founded on art, you'd want creative Aloyarc, those who love art as well and wish to create things. If the tribe is a nature loving tribe, you want green thumbs and peaceful Aloyarc. Also, figure out which of your own Aloyarc are fit to lead the tribe. If you do not have a fitting Elder-to-be, I'd suggest you hold off on your tribe until you do.

Step Three: Create your story. How did this tribe come to be? Some elders are chosen through the Gods and Goddesses, so did they choose your Aloyarc? Why? Did they have a dream from the Gods? Was the title passed down? Or did they just have a passion so strong, they wanted to form a tribe for the Gods to approve? I want to know how this tribe came into existence.

Step Four: Create a symbol. If your tribe is made official, you will need a tattoo for all members to get to show tribe status. It can be an image off the net, or one you make yourself, but it has to be unique only to the tribe.

Step Five: Make the thread. NOW you can make your thread! Reserve the entire first page for your tribe, set up the posts, and make your first rp post with your Elder-to-be. If you are unfamiliar with tribes, you may look at others to see how they do it!

xX Making it Official Xx

So, you got your tribe all set up, huh? Sweet! Now, you need members and roleplay. Tribes must be active to be accepted, as well as have five members (including the Elder-to-be). When you think you're ready, post the form in the Tribal applications thread to be accepted! Or... not. Not all tribes will be made official, and more than likely most wont. If you are denied, reasons will be given and you can either scrap your tribe or work on it to make it better.

If you are accepted, send a trade of 10k to the main mule, labeled with the name of your tribe. This covers the lineart upgrade to the Elder, which will be done by your Aloyarc's colorist, and tattoos for your Elder and four members. Each additional member will require another 500g, a first-members discount only given when the tribe is accepted with more than four others. Any Aloyarc who joins after must pay the full 1k in the tribal certing thread. Be sure to continue to follow the rules and keep things active, and congrats on your new -official- tribe!~
