"She won't be breathing for long," Zia stated to her patrolling companion. There had been a battle here, moments earlier, if that, and they had missed it. The results in front of them were obvious, collateral damage to the surrounding property, and the body of an unfortunate senshi who had lost.

She wasn't dead, not entirely, though Zia had assumed when they first found her. She was pale, blank eyes wide and looking up to the sky as her shallow breathing faded into nothing.

"Starseed loss," She said clinically, crouching down next to her and gingerly circling the area on her chest where the precious object would've been removed.

"So Negaverse, obviously. It couldn't have happened that long ago since she's still-- oh, no, there she goes."

Life went out like so many lights so often. It was hardly an event when it didn't affect her otherwise. Sometimes Zia would stop an analyze this, and her lack of compassion for people she had yet to meet in the land of the living. She didn't know them, she didn't want to know them, and she had often questioned and answered herself on this subject.

It was okay to not know them or care for them. She couldn't, otherwise she would absolutely lose her mind. This corpse was an interesting subject to be studied, not a person. She couldn't think of them that way.

Sailor Orpheus was hardened when it came to people he didn't know for the most part. Children were often except from this ruling but that was typically because he didn't believe they should be involved in the darker side of things. This senshi, this senshi had no one to blame but herself. She clearly knew the risks when she powered up, or maybe she didn't, but she should have. Sure, it might have been the Negaverse's fault that she was now laying at Zia's feet on her last breath but if she'd never powered up she probably could have avoided this situation. However, after the carnival incident it was debatable if simply being a civilian was safe.

In the end though, this woman was still one of the terrorists he hated and blamed for his own misery. Additionally, she was also a science experiment it seemed. It left Sailor Orpheus standing tall behind Zia, looking down as she clinically observed the situation. He lingered, he towered, and in a way he was making sure nothing came after Zia like it had at the carnival.

"That was fairly quick, how long do they typically live after starseed loss?" He asked, although it wasn't entirely a question to Zia so much as it was to himself. He had been trying to figure it out for awhile since the carnival, take the scenarios apart and sum up his findings but they had been mostly inconclusive.

"I wonder if there is a way for us to average it out. I guess that would require volunteers. Although, I suppose finding volunteers would be difficult. Perhaps something more like a little friendly persuasion." He mumbled to himself, a small chuckle ending his mumbling.

"Honestly I've seen more people die instantly," Zia said, standing up over what was now a civilian girl, nameless and faceless to her.

She crossed her arms, eyes on the corpse and thinking it over. "It is interesting, why some live and some die instantly. And how it's different from just harvesting the energy generated by a being."

She shifted her weight from one hip to the other. "I don't suppose you've ever tried it? Harvesting ener--"

"What the ******** are you doing?"

Zia jumped, half prepared to book it when she realized she recognized the voice and swore herself. "Aw ********," She complained as her arms and shoulders went slack at her sides, making her look more annoyed than afraid. "I forgot these were your stomping grounds, Alfheim."

"Is... is she dead?" The page asked. He sounded less confrontational than before as he approached, looking absolutely horrified. "Did-- I mean..." It wasn't hard to put together the math, there had been chaos signatures in the area and now there was a dead girl. Hopefully there wouldn't be two with the way his sister was getting all buddy buddy with the remaining one.

"No, she's just had the shock of her life," Zia snorted at the question sarcastically.

"Zee, get over here."

"Interesting," Sailor Orpheus said with quite the genuine interest. It was kind of like chemistry, and although he wasn't too big on that side of science compared to physics and engineering it was still quite fascinating for him. In a sort of twisted way, Sailor Orpheus was a bit like a kid in a candy store. It wasn't like he did this but it would be even worse than doing this if he simply let it go to waste! He was down on his knees, studying the body with curiosity. If only he was into medicine this might have been fascinating to the point of insanity to see how the body would stop functioning without something medicine didn't credit to exist.

Fun never did last long with Sailor Orpheus though, the universe made sure of it. Right on time, Alfheim showed up to ruin it. Clearly sent by the universe to ******** up Sailor Orpheus' good time, he turned his head with a rather unhappy little scowl. What topped it off? He was demanding Zia go over there. He didn't like it, he didn't trust it and immediately Sailor Orpheus stepped between them.

He didn't know Alfheim was Zia's brother, and he certainly didn't trust a terrorist.

"Did you have something to do with this?" Alfheim asked, pointing one slack hand at Orpheus while his eyes were on the body they were so casually studying.

"Whoa, boys--" Zia was not especially happy to see Alfheim. She'd prefer it if he just went blissfully unaware of her darker activities, but she definitely didn't want to see him fight, especially not with Orpheus.

"Alfheim, maybe you should just... turn around," Wouldn't that be easy?

He did not. "********... She can't be more than sixteen..." But when he looked up the guy had stepped between him and his baby sister and that wasn't okay. His experiences with the Dark Mirror Court previously had all been very amiable up until this point, and he didn't see why there had to be aggression.

"Okay look," He closed some distance between the two of them. Normally Alfheim could be agreeable, but there was a dead kid here and no one seemed to care, or explain what was happening. He knew his sister wasn't right in the head, he didn't know this guy's excuse. "I don't hate your court half as much as she does, I'm sure you're all a lot more reasonable than your reputation says, but we're leaving now," And with that he gave the young senshi a light shove, intending to walk past him.
PostPosted: Mon May 27, 2013 9:31 pm

"Yeah, I can totally rip starseeds out," he spat out quite unpleasantly before Zia stepped in between them trying to halt the horses.

The irony here was that Alfheim was friendly with his court when he wasn't, and that already put him on uneasy ground with Sailor Orpheus. And then Alfheim tried to close some of the distance between them, raising the hairs on Sailor Orpheus' arm even further. He was holding his ground but he wasn't reacting yet, at least not until Alfheim shoved him with the intention of taking Zia. It might have been a light shove but Sailor Orpheus reacted to the threat that was behind it: Zia's removal.

Without warning, Sailor Orpheus lashed out at Alfheim, swinging his legs down along the ground with quite haste as he intended to knock Alfheim off his old legs and onto the ground. Whether the old page would stumble off his feet from the attack or manage to hold his ground, Sailor Orpheus may have been Gandalf the Grey: YOU SHALL NOT PASS.

"She made things very clear here so leave," he demanded.

Alfheim probably would've scrunched his nose and shrugged at the sarcasm aout whether or not dark senshi could take out starseeds. If he hadn't been kicked.

He could've sworn Zia half yelled, half shrieked something about 'don't hurt him' and all he could think was how he didn't want to be either part that could be directed to or about.

Because one, the thought this kid could hurt him was insulting, and two, he was most definitely going to get him back for that. Normally he could try to talk his way out of fighting a little more, but Orpheus was not on his side. He was dangerous, he wasn't willing to talk, and he was here with his civilian sister standing over a dead girl.

All of this added up to Alfheim stumbling in his stance and redirecting his movement into rocketing a punch towards Orpheus' face. He learned from his bullying days in school a well directed punch to glasses could mess up a face, he was eager to try it out on this senshi.
PostPosted: Mon May 27, 2013 9:59 pm

Did Zia scream something? Sailor Orpheus could have sworn she had said something about not hurting him but he was the one who was coming after her, trying to take her away. He was a terrorist! She seen what they did, she knew what they did yet she defended them? Sometimes it for hard for him to remember he was also viewed as a terrorist but frankly it wasn't the same!

Sailor Orpheus wasn't willing to negotiate something he viewed as Zia's safety and that meant he didn't need words. If that meant taking on this old man then that was something he'd have to take for the team. Sure, it was almost as bad as picking on children but he'd have to suck it up because this asshat started it and he intended to finish it.

Clearly Zia must have been telling Alfheim not to hurt him because soon he was coming at him. Sailor Orpheus was no stranger to bullying, nor to boxing, and so when Alfheim came at his face he immediately threw both arms up to block, hoping to hold his ground in front of Zia more than anything. Protecting his face was a plus because too many times has he gone home to Zia as Pascal to meet her eyes of concern. He didn't want to see that face again, not if he could help it.

To try and counterattack, Sailor Orpheus went for the old man's knees. It might have been his shins or even his thighs because Orpheus' hands were still guarding his face and he had to estimate these things. He could understand the two of them were close to the same high but body builds were a whole other thing.

Zia was worked up but she really didn't know what to do here, exactly. Orpheus wasn't something she wanted damaged, he was valuable, and more than that, she didn't exactly hate his company these days. Another self loathing mirror-person was cathartic.

She certainly didn't want him pounded on.

On the other, there was Alfheim, who had a really good reason to flip out. She never shared anything with him, he probably had no idea what her problem with the DMC was, and he rarely brought up the cat thing. Even if she had been in an open, sharing mood he probably would've wanted to drag her off to talk just on the corpse thing alone. And he was her brother. The fact she had so much tunnel vision on revenge she'd choose a member of the enemy court over him wasn't a point she was quite at yet.

Her first instinct was to break up the fight.

This was not the most well planned move.

Alfheim was stumbling again, but he was determined to punch through that block. He was used to using his fists, he was a brick. the attacks on his legs weren't something he was countering against easily, and he almost lost his balance entirely when Zia grabbed his arm. She yelped, he wasn't entirely sure if it was because of him. There was a decent chance he accidentally elbowed her in her attempt to stop any more punching, and it worked because he was thoroughly distracted with her and not falling over.

Sailor Orpheus was reared and ready to throw another kick at Alfheim when suddenly his entire balance flew off and knocked him almost off his feet when he steered clear to avoid Zia. His reaction was pretty much an expression dedicated solely to running over puppies.

"Don't do that!" He yelped.

"Oh s**t," Alfheim muttered as Zia dropped off his arm, looking like she'd just gotten the wind knocked out of her. "You okay?" He tensed up a bit, ready to defend against a kick that never came, and then tried to kneel down and get her to move her arm.

Zia was cringing, and slowly inhaling as she tried to get a grip, and everyone could tell when she did because she punched Alfheim square in the nose. "ASSHAT!" She shouted before groaning.

"You nailed me like right in the ribcage."

Alfheim grabbed his nose and even though he had a small twinge in his eye, he took it. It was practice they'd often worked out when she was a petulant kid and he was a teenager, they were even, so they might as well leave it alone.

He was not, however, even with Orpheus and even kneeling, he glanced up at the senshi from his less than defensible position and clenched his fists, trying to gauge if they were still fighting. "You're friend's a bit on the violent side, Zee."

"He's chaotic, dumbass," And maybe a little bit of an a*****e, but it was easy to defend him as corrupted. Her following plea sounded genuine, though, "Please stop fighting."
PostPosted: Mon May 27, 2013 11:54 pm

Sailor Orpheus used this chance to get back to his balance before shifting from side to side with an unhappy expression.

"You confront me, you shove me, you try and forcibly make Zia leave and then you blame me? What the ******** goes on in that little brain of yours?" He was pretty much riled up and ready to go at Alfheim again but Zia's plea caused him to pause.

"It's his fault," he said with a faux pout. "He should have left when you told him to."

"Yeah," Zia had the audacity to agree with Orpheus, which resulted in glaring eye contact between siblings.

Alfheim didn't react to it diplomatically, though, he was used to being called dumb. "You wanna tell me what you're doing running around at night poking corpses?" He demanded with as much authority as he could muster. He could demand, she was his baby sister and she was acting crazier than normal. He even grabbed the arm she had wrapped around herself and pulled it away. "Now are you seriously hurt or are you being a baby? Because we need to talk."

"Later, Legolas," She groaned, stopping herself in mid action. She was about ready to lean into his pull until she was leaning on his chest, but she probably shouldn't go around hugging her brother. His identity was still important, even if he was insisting on blowing the fact they were apparently familiar.

"It's always ******** later, Zee. Come on, we'll go... you know."

Away. To Alfheim. Somewhere she loved even if he hated it. She didn't seem outright opposed, which he took as clearance to concentrate and say his words, and leave this city and this senshi behind.
PostPosted: Tue May 28, 2013 12:19 am

Sailor Orpheus watched, and slowly his expression soured more and more. They were standing there like idiots and the civilian side of Sailor Orpheus was just starting to get really pissed off. Stop touching Zia so familiarly! Stop trying to take her away! Everyone wanted to take her away when she was the only good thing in his life other than his studies. He withstood all the s**t the universe threw at him but he wasn't going to just let it take Zia away too. Not the universe and definitely not Alfheim.

Finally, he grabbed Alfheim by the arm and not a word after the sentence, "What the ******** are you doing? Let her go," the three of them disappeared.
