Kilian had come to Eowyn to visit Erionda. Dragon hunts had been the last thing on his mind. However, he felt like he needed to get away from her house. It wasn’t because he felt unwelcome. He just didn’t want to make her feel smothered. She needed time to herself and time to sort through her feelings. So, with some free time on his hands he had told her he was going to go hunt for a Kiandri. Ayrala’s had become too easy for him. More of a challenge was needed. So he had filled a water skin up, with Erionda’s permission and headed out into the desert, determined to find a Kiandri and hoping that he wouldn’t find a stronger foe.
He traveled for what seemed hours, not finding one dragon. He was just about to give up hope when a shadow passed over him. Kilian tilted his head up to the sky. “Looks like one found us.” He said as he looked down at Amadia. The Keindred has a foreboding that this was not going to go too well.
The Kiandri circled the pair a couple more times before swooping down for an attack. Kilian and Amadia both managed to avoid the attack. Barely. The dragon landed a few feet away from them, the energy in the air crackling. Kilian! Run! Amadia shouted in his head. He knew enough to trust his bonded. He turned around and took off running with her.
They had moved just in time. The dragon let loose an electric attack that made the air around them tingle with it’s energy. “Well, s**t.” Kilian cursed as they ran across the sandy dunes of the desert. This was definitely a different type of dragon. He’d never get use to the new attacks each dragon seemed to have.
