It had been a few weeks since her meeting with Kilian. She was surprised to see how well he was doing. It was a great thing to reconnect and strengthen a friendship like that. Kavanna had enjoyed herself quite a bit, but things were becoming more and more rough at home, with her husband taking on extremely long hours within the city as a guard and her son being away for months at a time within the Celestial Plane; oftentimes, Kavanna would just wander the streets of Ashen City or spend her time traveling to the different continents and battling dragons and such.
Today was no different; feeling alone and incomplete, the Dovaa decided she would go to the continent of Eowyn to take on yet another dragon. Her days were always filled with sadness and loneliness, so this was her way of dealing with such feelings.
She arrived at Eowyn late in the day, just before dusk; the setting of the sun. Taking out of her pack a small dragon-belly pouch filled with water, she lifted it to her lips to drink. The soothing sensation of water within her dry mouth was refreshing and enjoyable. The Dovaa licked her lips as she began her trek toward the mountainous region of the Terra Expanse. She knew she would be taking on the Gaili Dragons today, as was her plan from the beginning.
As she neared the base of a mountain, all she needed to do was look up to view a few Gaili Dragon's flying far above. The rocky dragons were always more elegant to her for reasons unknown. Their rigid build and strong stature always enthused the Ysali Dovaa. Not only that, but the Gaili were somewhat like cousins to the Ysali, both dealing with earth and things within it.
She began her ascent up the mountain's side, using her Ysali skills to pull the innermost roots and other plant life outward to use as platforms.
After a few moments, Kavanna reached a ledge with a nest of Gaili dragon eggs, but no family...yet. She stood watch over the eggs for a little while until she saw a couple of Gaili dragons flying towards her with immense speed.
A smirk grew upon the Dovaa's face as she used her vine manipulation to pull the vines from the mountainside, slamming both into her first victim, pushing the one dragon backward.
The other came in and with a call, cause a small rockslide to cascade downward from above. Quick to think, she pressed herself up against the wall of the mountain and shielded herself in small, elastic vines. They took the brunt of the falling rocks, but some damage was still done to her arms.
It wasn't until the rocks completely stopped that she decided to reveal herself to the dragons, whom probably assumed she was dead.
With a burst of plant energy she came through with a large Solar Beam attack; quickly taking in the light from above and blasting it off towards both floating dragons.
She clipped the wings of both dragons, who let out an intensified, painful howl. Then both dragons began to fall to the ground below, unable to fly due to having only one wing each. Running to the side of the cliff, the Dovaa looked over to view the two Gaili dragons bolting up the mountainside, obviously quite angry.
Kavanna grabbed the leaves she had always kept by her side and hardened them with plant energy and hurled them down the side towards the Gaili who were picking up speed. She managed to finally slice through one of the Gaili's necks, who instantly began to glow and fade away to dust, leaving the other even more angry.
Finally the Gaili got to the cliff where Kavanna stood, ready with her vines. Suddenly, she whipped the Gaili as many times over as she possibly could before the body gave out, falling to the ground in a cloud of ash.
The Dovaa felt empowered. She gathered her spoils and left for home.
