Wana's travels had taken him far and wide. But from the beginning of his pilgrimage the lion still remembered running in to that beautiful girl on the peaks while the two hunted. Every once in a while a memory would come up of the twos meeting and flirting.

What Wana didn't know that in the time he'd been gone from his home in the swamps was that the swamps had come to the mountains and had stayed with the Ela for some time. The lion had no idea that his home pride had come across such an event. He'd missed his home pride come and go from this lands and was none the wiser.

The memories of that Ela gal had him waiting at the base of the territory in hopes she'd reappear and maybe the two could reconnect or something. It was a long shot. Wana knew this. But still he lurked there like a haunt with high hopes riding on his shoulder. That young puppy dog love from long ago still poking up his hopes. The lion sat and waited like a fool.

This particular location was part of the Bird clan's territory at this time of year, and Tsi-Tsi was investigating the outer boundaries of the Ela'wadiyi lands. It was something he'd never been encouraged to do before, and damn if he wasn't hoping to meet a lioness out here. With no relatives around, he wouldn't have to worry about making a fool of himself, and he could simply be...Tsi-Tsi.

The yellow lion saw a dark shape, sitting, waiting and realized his luck must be in! He picked up his pace only to slow as the form resolved itself into a clearly male form. Sigh. Not at all a lioness, not with that mane. Still, it was no one he knew, and therefore talking to him would be worth the while all the same!

The younger lion trotted up, grinning with the excitement of the unknown before him.

"Hi! You look like you're waiting for something, or someone," Tsi-Tsi observed aloud.

Wana's ears flicked his ears towards the sound of some one speaking. His first instinct was to duck down some and hide. On his travels not every lion was exactly the most friendly. Wana had been chased out of territories before. This was only a reflex though and Wana soon lifted his head and gave a wide smile to the new comer.

"Hello there friend," He hoped he was speaking to a friend. This lion had the same strange markings or tattoos that Gowe had sported. The two must at least know each other. Same territory maybe same pride. Actually, probably same pride.

"Actaully I am looking for a female .. Uh..." He paused trying to not sound like a creeper. "She's got the same kind of markings as you have and well ... shes a girl.. her name is Gowe... I met her a long time ago and I returned here to finally seek her out," There. That wasn't creepy at all.

Tsi-Tsi blinked at the other lion's words before smiling again, a little sheepishly. Well, at least the other male had come to the right place! Shame he didn't know Gowe...well, he'd apparently lost her to this brown male without even knowing her. Though...if it had been a long time ago, she must be old. Ew.

"I'm afraid I don't know any lioness by that name," the yellow lion explained. "She must be in a different clan. Do you know which one you're looking for?"

That would be a good place to start, as it could sometimes be difficult to locate a clan at a given time, even for a fellow pride member.

"I am afraid.. I do not recall her saying what clan she was from," His ears wilted down sad. But still he was close. These were her territories so it was possible she was still here unless maybe she decided to go wandering around the lands as he had. He hoped Gowe didn't.

"She actually never said anything about a clan. This is the first I am hearing. Is this territory split up among other prides?" He hoped if it was then these 'clans' were on good terms with each other and he wasn't conversing with an enemy.

"Oh, that'll make it more difficult," Tsi-Tsi admitted, his own posture sinking as he saw the disappointment clear on the other male's face. Then he brightened again. "Don't worry, we'll ask Dad. And if he doesn't know, Mom will!" There were advantages to having the wanidatsi for a parent, and they sometimes outweighed the troubles.

"Yeah, there's six in all, Bird, Earth, Mantis, Shadow, Sky and Wolf Clan. Each one has a portion of the pride's territory that they roam through periodically, and then we all meet up at the Festivals," the yellow lion explained cheerfully. It was a comfortable routine for him.

Festivals? Well that was good at least. That had to mean that all the clans were friends and Wana was indeed not conversing with an enemy of Gowe. The lion cheered up quite a bit at all this good sounding news.

"WELL THATS GREAT!" He exclaimed. Quickly he shut his mouth knowing his outburst had been on the loud side. Birds had even scattered from the near by trees at his happy exclamation. All that really mattered was that he was -hopefully- going to reunite with the lioness who had won his fancy. It had been many moons since he'd seen her. Wana could only hope she was happy to see him.

"Well then.. My name is Wana and it is an honor to meet your acquaintance." The lion dipped his head.

"I'm Tsi-Tsi Kanati," the younger lion replied in kind after stifling his giggles at Wana's outburst. It was good to know that older lions got as excited as he did. He really hoped that this Gowe was as nice was the brown lion seemed, it would be a shame if she wasn't.

"We should probably go talk to Dad, like I mentioned," Tsi-Tsi went on. "He'll probably know which clan she's in, and where they're at right now. Not to mention that if you want to join the pride, Dad's the guy to talk to."

He'd said that last bit somewhat carefully. He'd never really met a rogue on the border like this before, and wasn't sure how Wana would react. He knew that there were lions who joined the Ela'wadiyi and others who left, but the young lion didn't have a whole lot of experience with either group aside from random encounters as a youth with former rogues, or that big to-do with the Jini-msemi at the last Festival.

"Many thanks my friend, " He gave Tsi Tsi an endearing and thankful smile. Soon he hoped his optimism would pay off and that he and his lioness would be reunited. He would quart her the best he could and hopefully win hers and her families and her clans favor.

"Would you mind if I burdened you with a request. Could you take me to your father?" He assumed that Tsi Tsi would do this any way but Wana was a polite lion and asking was better than assuming anything of anyone. "That is if its not to much trouble and I am not interrupting anything.." Wana was quick to add. The brown lions hopeful eyes were like puppy dogs.

"Of course!" the yellow lion confirmed with a grin. "That's what I was planning to do the whole time, so I'm glad you don't mind," he added, realizing that his words could sound a bit awkward. It wasn't like he'd been planning on kidnapping Wana and taking the brown lion to meet his father, after all! That was simply how the inept words had sounded to Tsi-Tsi's ears.

"Anyway, you seem like a great guy, Wana. The kind of person we like in the pride!" The tattooed lion led the way, glancing to his side every so often not to see if the other lion was following, but to see the reactions on the other's face.

This could be the start of a wonderful friendship. And maybe, just maybe, this other male from outside the pride could give him some pointers about lionesses...

That would make this entire day perfect.
